Seaside Huts Lembongan

The people were fine,and the views and swimming pool are great but we were delayed a night due to airport experience and they would not refund us, as bookings would not let them, also the price changed from what we were quoted when we booked and they said it was bookings who changes the price and they still couldn’t do anything for us,,

The place is modest and a little older,

Great view, good location, lovely staff

Would have been a bonus to be able to get lunch/dinner even just a sandwich.

We extended our stay this year. What more can I say. Plenty of surfing, walking, exploring. Perfect.

The location is beautiful. Being close to the water was a highlight, and we enjoyed the sunrises. The property itself is cute and has a lot of potential. The huts have a lovely atmosphere and the setting is peaceful when there are no noise issues from neighbouring guests.

Unfortunately, the experience did not match the expectations created by the photos and reviews. We booked a sea view bungalow, but the “sea view” is largely obstructed by the pool and trees, so we felt the description was misleading, especially considering the higher price associated with this room type. From the enquiry stage, communication felt curt and dismissive. We still chose to book because of the positive reviews and attractive photos. We selected the return ferry/transport option offered by the property. Our ferry was delayed by 39 minutes, which was outside of our control. There were also other passengers in the shared taxi, meaning time was needed for luggage collection and drop-offs. This meant our arrival was closer to 7pm rather than 6pm. As check-in was stated as available until 7pm, we were surprised to be greeted with “why are you so late?” rather than a welcoming arrival. The room had several basic issues: - No complimentary drinking water was provided. - A kettle was available, but there were no cups. - Ants were present around the kettle area. - The fridge did not work and had an unpleasant smell when opened. - The mosquito net was visibly dirty, with stains, appeared grey rather than white, and had a hole, making it ineffective. From the second day onwards, there was no hot water for the remainder of our stay. We also experienced several interactions that made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome during our stay. There was building work taking place, and although a black mesh screen was put up, workers could still be seen through it. Due to the open bathroom design, this affected our privacy. The huts are close together, so noise from neighbouring guests sitting outside late at night was also an issue. We used the laundry service but found it considerably more expensive while providing less value compared with previous accommodation during our trip. We requested breakfast to take away due to an early ferry.
