Pleasant but a few watch outs

The private pool and main pool were amazing, cocktails were really good too - these were the main highlights for us. Location was great, walking distance to sunset point and a short scooter ride to lots of lovely areas. We hired scooters and had the kids on the back. Nusa Lembongan feels way more safer than Bali for renting scooters, as it's a lot quieter. That said, still be careful on the roads - I had a couple of near misses with drivers overtaking. The beds were comfortable and sheets were clean. The aircon and fans were great and needed. Staff were very happy and friendly.

Unfortunately, I wasn't a fan of the outside bathrooms. Most people are okay with this and it's pretty common in Indonesia, but there was animal poo scattered around the sink area and floors at times, plus I found it frustrating to use the outdoor toilet when we had heavy rain in the rainy season. I felt the front of the property wasn't very comfortable. I was hoping to be able to chill on the chairs on the veranda as a family to eat and drink, but we couldn't do this. There wasn't space for 4 of us to sit 'comfortably' to do this - which is personal preference, not so much a complaint. We paid by card on arrival. This meant we paid 3% card fees, as we didn't have enough cash. We also wasn't given the option to choose to pay in 'local' currency, as you often get asked to select local currency or accept the banks exchange rate when you use cards for payment. This meant that they accepted the exchange rate from their bank, which far exceeded any exchange rate that we would have got if we paid in local currency. These two things led to us paying £67 more than the original price on booking.com (10% higher). When I complained about this after we left and I had checked my bank statement against the original price, they agreed to refund the 3% card fee. Sadly I never received it. It's not a huge amount, but it is worth knowing that the amount you see on booking.com is not necessarily the price you'll end up paying (I suggest paying in advance to avoid this). All in all though, we did have a pleasant stay here and I would still recommend it as a good central place to stay, with great pools.

Nothing! My only comment is that in the off season, you do need to walk a little to get to beaches and action however this might be a bonus in peak season so to have some quiet time.

Amazing place to stay

Lovely Balinese style villas. Super friendly staff, great breakfast & close to Mushroom Bay & Dream Beach! But we were quite far from the town area ( I should have looked closer at the map) Taxi is whopping $15 so of you can’t ride a scooter, a taxi around the island can be quite expensive. Overall we loved it.

Large group celebration

As a group of 15 we went to Nusa Lembongan for my husband’s 50th. The location, accommodation, staff, everything was amazing. Definitely recommend this place 😊

Fabulously quiet stay on the island! Time to chill and relax before heasing back to main island

Quiet area of the island, up in the mountains above the beaches making it a little cooler than at waters edges, staff were so helpful and accommodating for our needs. Welcome drink bad turn down service were a lovely addition to our stay. They can organise an island tour which we really enjoyed, mangrove cruise and yellow bridge were the highlights

Room service was tricky. First night we gave up and ended up heading to restaurant. Which was lovely so not really a downside but something to remember, second night was fine.

Everything was great at Sunset Garden, rooms were clean and comfortable staff were friendly and welcoming pool was nice to cool off easy walk to some nice cafe and restaurant near by easy to taxi if you wanted to go further.

Quiet villa

The villa was cleaned daily. My husband was unwell and the staff were very kind, offering to cook special food and providing additional cleaning when needed.

I felt the breakfast could have been better. Perhaps some pastries or things you could help yourself to. A choice of coffee would have been great too, such as cappuccino's or latte's.

Perfect small resort for families

The staff were amazing. We were in a group of 9 with 2 toddlers and a baby and they were so attentive with the kids. The resort was on the quieter side of the island which suited us perfectly and is a small resort which again was amazing. It was really great value for money.

Very disappointing - Filtered water NOT drinkable and spoilt our holiday!

The plunge pool was cool and chlorinated. The bed was comfortable Breakfast was good Dewi was very helpful and restaurant staff attentive

1. They offered transfers to the property - pick up from airport, transfer to ferry, ferry boat and return. They were not at airport to collect us and said they ‘made a mistake’. This had been arranged and confirmed through many messages over at least a 1 month period. 2. They said the water they left in bottles in the room was filtered and insisted it was safe to drink - it is not. We got quite sick which put me out of action for 4 of the 6 days we stayed and at least 3 other people we spoke to at the property were unwell also. I advised them to only put bottled water in the rooms twice - I don’t think they will take this advice. 3. Rooms not cleaned very well. Bathrooms left dirty even after asking them to clean them. Floors filthy - had to wipe up some spilt water and cloth black. 4. The smoke from fires burning in the local area is horrendous and caused us to leave a local restaurant before food was served. 5. Massages - never there at the time they tell you and would have kept us waiting over 1 hour from original time plus they use different local masseuse people and the last ones did not wash oil off the table from last guest.

Loved our stay at Sunset Garden :)

We stayed in the one-bedroom private pool villa for four nights. The room was clean and comfortable with an outdoor bathroom as described on the website. Lovely cold air-conditioner was very welcome on the hot days. Loved having our own private plunge pool. The resort is within walking distance to beaches, restaurants and mini markets. They also hire scooters if you are keen. We had lunch and dinner in the onsite restaurant a couple of times and the food was fresh and tasty. Breakfast was simple and adequate.

Perfect place to be situated for a great Nusa Lembognan stay!

Room/villa was gorgeous with our own pool, room/beds/pillows were comfortable and very clean. Staff were extremely helpful with everything- within walking distance of sunset point, mushroom bay and dream beach. The manta point snorkelling, that we booked through the hotel was exceptional and our 90 min massages were fantastic. Food is great too - lots of choices for breakfast. We wished we planned a longer stay, 3 nights was just not enough!

Excellent accommodation, logistically located for tranquility, amicably supplied by great hosts.

As a 'first-time visitor' to the island and Bali, I was made most welcome by the staff of the resort - nothing was "too much trouble" or inconvenient. The pool was a great "cooling-off" place to be in. The inclusion of a variable and full 'breakfast' to start the day was a "bonus" to our holiday costs. The location made all the islands other facilities (beaches, bars, boutiques, spas and beauty/therapy outlets) logistically short distance.
