Peaceful clean friendly and amazingly good value

Nothing.. it is a bit of a walk to anywhere( not an issue for those with bikes)… but for us that was part of the appeal. We walked to Devils tears in the morning and to the point bar in the evening and over to jungkut Batu via the coast after we left

The outside bathroom was good. There was a swimming pool.

What a wonderful stay! Great room, good air conditioning (which is necessary), an outdoor bathroom (which really gives you that vacation feeling), and a lovely pool right outside the door. We were welcomed with a refreshing drink by the friendly owner. From that moment on, we just enjoyed ourselves. We even preferred to use the pool rather than go to the beach. There are many nice restaurants in the street, and I found this to be the best part of the island. I also had to work in between, which was fine at one of the dining tables at the guesthouse, and otherwise there are plenty of restaurants within a 5-minute walk to work from. The internet is fine. Sometimes it drops out or the signal is weaker, but that has everything to do with island life. Enjoy it ;)

Not much, although the manager Ada was very friendly and helpful

The main problem was that the description of the room and location was very inaccurate and we left after the first of three nights. However, we discussed the issues with the charming manager Ada (who tried her best help us out) and she in turn discussed the issues with booking.com and we were refunded the 2 nights and their web-page has since been updated. It seems that the 200m access to Sandy Bay Beach is only available throught the Sandy Bay Beach Club (a great bar and restaurant by the way) - I'm sure they are happy to have people come through their property but if that changes, it seems to be quite a walk to get to the beach
