Okay stay, could have been better but also could have been worse.

Okay room. Very close to yellow bridge pier around 10 minute walk. Staff good helped us to arrange manta ray snorkelling trip. Also helped us to book ferry back to Sanur for a good price. Nice shower just needed to run for a little while to get warm.

Very big hill to get to property. Limited options nearby so definelty need a scooter to get around however roads leading up to it are awful so very dangerous. Says included brekfasr but options was just pancakes, I can’t eat them so my partner asked if anything was available they said no.

The view from your bed will be the nicest surprise, and the design itself is very creative and simply beauuuutiful. Best of all, the hostel staff are FABULOUS! I loved spending time with them and chatting to them for hours. Truly felt like a little home!

Nice to look at but lacks maintenance and far away

This hostel is visually cool and beautiful. The staff were all welcoming and kind. Everyone was always greeting you with a big smile and willing to help. Morning breakfast was ok.

On paper, and after reading the reviews, it is clear that you are paying for something incredible. However, unfortunately, our stay at Bong was disappointing. To start, the facilities clearly need maintanence. The showers have no pressure and is cold, which is common around the island, but considering the price this hostel charges we were expecting better. Furthermore, the first night we stayed at a bunk bed that had bedbugs. I woke up several times feeling bites on my body. At first, I thought it was mosquitos (which fair enough) but the next morning I woke up with several bed bugs corpses, blood stains (from them feeding on me) and a couple of living bugs. It was a big shock. The staff member helped me by organizing some laundry for my things, which was very nice, but on check out they tried charging me for it (needless to say I wasnt planning to do laundry, but with bedbugs its mandatory). The worst part was the "management". We tried contacting them several times and asked for a cancellation (we had 5 nights booked) because we clearly did not want to stay at a hostel with bed bugs, but we never got a real response. The staff also were not able to contact them. Long story short, the staff member refunded the one night with bed bugs FROM HIS POCKET MONEY. We then moved to a private room (which we had booked in advance). To our surprise, the room was extremely humid and reeked of swamp. Facilities looked dirty. Because management never replied, we couldn't get our money back and had to stay there regardless. In summary, Bong hostel is nice to look at but lacks proper management, maintenance, and cleaning. Plus, its far away from the "city" centre and located at the top of a very steep hill. If you do not feel comfortable riding a scooter then this is definitely not your hostel.

Modern hostel with open plan common area overlooking a beautiful view.

Great location with very nice individual capsules to stay in. Staff were very friendly and able to drive us to the north of the island on scooters. Breakfast was included and was freshly made pancakes with watermelon which was lovely. A beautiful common area with an infinity pool overlooking the ocean.

Pleasant stay

The hostel is located on top of a foothill and can be challenging to access by bike but the views are breathtaking. Breakfast was delicious (banana pancakes with peanut butter/nutella and watermelon). Staff was very helpful in teaching me how to ride a scooter for the first time (you need a scooter to get around the island). The beds were very comfy and have an spectacular view of the bay in the morning

The hostel has everything to be the best in Lembongan but it’s not there yet. There was often issues with no running water and no staff in the early hours of the evening or early morning should you need to discuss something or check out. There’s no activities in the hostel and tours are overpriced.

Affordable, but the quality matches the price.

The staff are very friendly, the beds are quite comfortable, and the towels and sheets are clean. The property is also just a 5-minute walk from the beach.

The property is a bit older than it appears in the photos. The outdoor furniture (seats and bean bags) is quite worn, dirty, and uncomfortable, so there isn’t really a good common area to relax apart from your box/bed. Breakfast is very minimal—just two pancakes. The natural pool also looks a bit dirty and not very inviting.

Amazing panoramic views over the sea. Quiet location, felt more like a health retreat. Beautiful setting in lots of trees.

Very steep narrow track from the road up to the hostel. Not a nice walk in the dark as no lights. You really need a scooter as quite far from the town. Not easy if you have any mobility issues as hostel also has steep stairs up to the rooms.

It was absolutely amazing. We extended for 2 more nights. The place is so chill, with the pool, and music to rest. The dormitory is very well fitted out, and privacy for each. The staff is really kind and helpful, with a delicious breakfast every morning. Thank you so much for the welcoming. You can book a tour for a day at Nusa Penida, with all the transports included, very easy.

The views are stunning! Everything is really clean and comfortable I also loved that the owners are Indonesian. They are really nice and helpful, you can rent scooters right at the property to move around.

Fabulous views, neat rooms and bathrooms , yummy breakfast

The location! This place and it’s location , your dorm bed overseeing the sea and being located up on a hill, you can see the opposite island (Nusa Ceningan) and the clear sky turning colours during early morning and evening hours. By far best stay which offers free breakfast along with bike rentals/arranges snorkelling trips. Very helpful staff. This place is basically a steal for what it offers 😅 PS: there’s a pool outside which again overlooks the sea :)

There is plenty to love about this hostel! - amazing view from the bed - bed was comfy and spacious - love the multiple charging points (usb available too) - beautiful chill out area and pool! - space in dorm rooms (I went during low season tho!) - pretty well maintained - helpful, friendly and easy going staffs - several food places nearby - relaxing atmosphere - the woody structure

These are not dealbreakers for me but just a few things to take note of: - the steep upslope. best to turn on have some light (your phone's) in the night - if youre a light sleeper, do bring earplugs or plug in your earpiece and have an eyemask on because you can hear every little sound. the blinds are pretty loud when rolling them up and down

Paradise on LemBONGan

Breathtaking view and relaxing atmosphere The beds are comfortable and all facilities were clean. We asked for a bonfire one night and the staff were more than happy to help. They also arranged a snorkel trip and scooter hire for me including lessons! Book this place before it sells out

Note, you will need a scooter to explore the rest of the island. But this is the best island to learn, streets are quiet and there were little challenges.

The pool, the view and just the hostel in general are amazing! When we arrived we felt zen immediately 🙏 the staff is also very helpful and kind. They are also pretty good at speaking English and they can help you book activities. They keep the place very neat and clean. We had a really good experience here, we extended our stay 2 times. Toplocatie! Voelt afgelegen, maar is dat niet. Lief personeel. Fijn zwembad. Kwam voor 2 nachten, het werden er 4 en ik had er nog 4 willen blijven

Schoon bed, lag erg lekker. Heel vriendelijk personeel. Lekker ontbijt: bananen pannenkoek met watermeloen. Prachtig uitzicht.

Het zwembad was groen en dus niet bruikbaar helaas. Jammer als je specifiek iets boekt met een zwembad. De badkamer rook erg muf, geen goede ventilatie. Je betaalt niet veel voor een privékamer met airco, dus je moet ook niet echt luxe verwachten. Het was net voldoende.

Superbe séjour

L’hotel était très bien pour 2 nuits pour faire faire Nusa Lembongan et Nusa Ceningan. Propre et confortable, bon pancakes au ptit dej. Louez absolument un scooter à coté du port (~70k/j) pour pouvoir vous déplacer, c’est très sympa de conduire sur ces 2 iles, les trajets sont très courts. Je vous conseille Dream Beach, Mushroom Beach entre 12h et 14h car le matin, la mer est très haute et l’aprem elle descend et le temps se couvre

Peut etre des transat autour de la piscine pour la rendre plus attrayante et conviviale

Cosy et confort :)

La vue depuis le dortoir du haut OMG ! Super confort, propre et cosy :) scooter bon rapport qualité prix directement sur place (cool pour faire le tour des deux petites Nusa !! Bon p’tit dej et gérante très accueillante ! + à côté des départs de bateaux pour Nusa Penida !!

La douche « dehors » vue sur les étoiles on adore ++ :) par contre très peu de pression d’eau mais détail tout était top durant notre séjour !
