Island Retreat Cottage

We had a fantastic stay at Island Retreat Cottage. Joe and his lovely family work incredibly hard to keep this beautiful complex in outstanding condition, and it really shows. The location, right at the top of the hill, offers spectacular views across to Nusa Penida, especially at sunrise and sunset. It’s the perfect place if you’re looking for peace, tranquillity and a chance to escape the hustle and bustle. The whole property is beautifully maintained, the surroundings are stunning, and the family make you feel genuinely welcome. We would definitely recommend Island Retreat Cottage to anyone looking for a relaxing and peaceful stay. We’ll certainly be back!

What I didn’t like: Honestly, nothing. The cottage suited exactly what we were looking for — peaceful, quiet and away from the hustle and bustle. We couldn’t have asked for more.

Had the best 2 nights The hosts Joe and Wuyan made me feel safe and secure. Joe ensured our transport was safe and reliable. Also, omg the pool was perfect and exceptionally clean. The bedroom units were spotless with the best mattress and pillows ever. The aircon worked exceptionally well cool room. It was very special to meet and chat with the family Highly recommend

This property did not disappoint! From the moment we arrived, Joe and his wife were incredibly helpful and kind. Joe helped us book an amazing trip to snorkel with manta rays, and also helped us to book our boat to our next island. He really has a heart of gold! The grounds are absolutely stunning! Each room is a little hut, and it really gives the island feeling that Nusa Lembongan has. The rooms are spotless, and maintained amazingly- you can really see that Joe and his wife take pride in their property! There is an infinity pool with a sea view, and there are plenty of loungers to choose from! If we ever returned to Nusa Lembongan, we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!

No fridge or coffee making facilities. Room needs cleaning at least every second day, I actually like it every day. Need scooter for staying here, nothing close.
