Don’t expect much from a sea view room

Beds were the comfiest I’ve stayed in on my trip. It’s the only hotel that has bean bags on the beach in the evening making it very relaxing. I don’t ride a scooter but one of the staff took me around the island (for 200k idr) and also to my next destination at nusa ceningan. It’s a great location on the beach but not well signposted if coming from the boat.

Communication before arrival was very poor. I contacted through booking.com, watsapp and even the booking.com representative tried to contact them and they never responded. Breakfast was very basic and limited. They have happy hour every night but use smaller glasses for our pina coladas than during normal time. Definitely need a scooter for this island. The ‘sea view’ was partial and only from the balcony. It’s better to book one of the garden rooms which are better located and still only a short walk from the beach. Rooms are tired and have stains on the ceiling. The nettle is located on a fridge which I had to move in order to reach the plug, floor was filthy underneath.

Amazing! Great swimming pools!

The location was great, very close to the beach. I loved the swimming pools. The gardens are beautiful. Staff was friendly. Room was large and comfortable. Cocktails were delicious! You should try the frozen Daiquiris!!!

There was a bad smell coming from somewhere nearby the restaurant that comes and goes, not really pleasant when you are dining in, but it was bearable.

Low price .... old hotel.. who need to pimped up Would chose another hotel next time

The location, the Pool, the room and bathroom were spacefully. AC not oke. They put us at the end of the logement (many stairs to go!!) And at the same time there were plenty of rooms free in the front..?! The staff did there best

Fun,relaxing and comfortable

We loved the Location and the rooms were very comfortable and clean. The free karaoke bar with Michael was a lot of fun too!

The property had a great family vibe to it including a waterslide in the pool! The breakfast was exceptional!

Budget friendly stay right on the beach

Location by the the beach, green garden and 3 pools. Sofia in the reception was so helpful answering all my questions, super service-minded. If you want a budget-friendly hotel at the beach this is a good choice. Mushroom bay is a nice beach and not far from dream beach which was amazing. Good beds and alright breakfast.

Our bathroom had an open roof which led to bugs and insects coming in. The pool didn’t smell that nice. A lot of chlorine. Location is good but Mushroom bay is very quiet.

A really pleasant sray

Nice bright room. Lovely staff. Right on the beach. The superior rooms and the bungalows were very pleasant. I was upgraded to a better room as my first room on arrival did not have water in the shower. If you book here. ask for the front rooms not the ones up the back of the property.

The water pressure in the showers is not good - but it's an island so you can't expect everything to be perfect. The wifi was patchy. The breakfast choice was very limited. Terrible coffee!

Lots of privacy, 3 pools, lovely grounds and friendly staff and on the beach.

I wasn’t aware of the TANIS ferry that dropped you off and picked you up right in front of the hotel. I was sold a ticket on D’Star which meant a bone-jarring 30 min ride from another beach. Not the hotels fault.

Nice location, great staff but the rooms and the conditions they are in will probably keep me away from this hotel.

The staff and specially Sofia was always very friendly and helpful, even when she was off duty she would still do everything she could to answer your needs 🤩 The location is good although you do need transport to get to the area where the restaurants are, but Sofia arranged this for us every evening, lots of restaurants have free pickup and drop off. On the other hand if you travel there via Tanis fast boat, you don’t need a transfer because the pier is in front of the hotel.

The rooms however were disappointing as they were not very clean and some with other problems… we had to change rooms twice as there were many issues with the 2 rooms we stayed in before.

Breakfast was good and sufficient, location excellent, staff very friendly, management responsive, excellent value.

Did have trouble finding place, followed google maps, big mistake, when you get off the ferry at Mushroom beach, just walk along beach 50m to Tanis ferry office, you have arrived. Confusion with name, no one seems to know Tropical Gardens, they know it as just Tanis.

Welcoming and wholesome :)

The staff were amazing!! Sofia at reception was an absolute angel, she was so helpful and caring. She organised for our bags to be watched while we went out for the day waiting for check-in to open, then she helped us organise tickets for our ferry to the Gili islands and then she went above and beyond when we left an item in our room, organised for it to be sent to our next stop so we could pick it up! Thank you so much Sofia!! You are amazing. The accomodation is beautiful, gorgeous views, nice location!! However, the staffing team really makes Tanis feel like a second home! :)

Wouldn’t stay there again.

Very close to the beach and nice staff. We got a free beer each. Location was spot on.

The toilet itself was in a very bad shape and not enough water coming out of the shower. Also many cracks in the bathroom here and there. Some maintenance would do a lot to the bathroom.

Relaxing, wonderful, beautiful

Loved the room, was upgraded to bungalow, breakfast on the beach, lovely staff only too happy to make you comfortable. Can arrange massages, boat and tours at reception.

The first room I booked was in front of pool, which was right up the back, was mouldy, aircon didn’t work, water in shower was terrible. Don’t book it! Book the bungalow!

Nice budget friendly spot - minor issues

It's a beautiful resort. The gardens are very traditional and immaculate. Some rooms have sea views. The pools are amazing.. There is direct beach access and the food at the restaurant was good. There were good choices for breakfast.

More seating furniture in the room - a lounge or armchair, would be good for older people. Sitting on the porch is fine but in the hot weather sitting inside comfortably would be good. I only stayed one night. The shower worked in the morning but the toilet and basin in the bathroom had no water. There is a rough road you have to drive down to get to the resort. There are other restaurants on the beach but access to a store after hours would be very difficult. I got hungry late in the night and could not access a shop. Transport provided by the resort to and from the place seems expensive at 150K IDR - alternative options may be available.

Forgettable Experience

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location is good - right on the beach. The refurbished units are nice.

It is looking old and tired. We had a rat in our room which lead to a series of room changes. Air conditioning wasn’t working in some, fridges were mouldy, paint was peeling off walls, water was brown from taps. In the end we found accommodation elsewhere.

LOVED the entire stay would very happily stay again.

Location was perfect for our family of 18!!! My mother & I shared rooms then my 3 adult children with their children all has their own conjoining rooms. Rooms were huge & easily accommodate all of us very comfortably. Location was great for small children , no traffic noise & right on the beach front. Breakfasts were great, plenty of choice & substantial. Staff very friendly & most helpful. They loved the kids.

Showers were a little hit & miss with water, sometimes hot not available . It really did not matter.

Great bargain!

Location is brilliant! Pools are great and have lots of beds and right on the beach. On site restaurant was very good as well and reasonably priced. Staff are very accommodating! Price is outstanding £15 a night!

The room, although spacious, was slightly dirty. We had a rat in outdoor bathroom which would like to jump out and scare us every so often as well as a colony of red ants which protected our walls! The room itself did react with my allergies and I was very sniffly and sneezy! But at £15 a night it’s a bargain and can see past it. The toilets by the pool as well are terrible, urinals knocked out, no toilet roll and toilet seats missing, so maybe if you need a wee go to your room.

Accomodatie is wat verouderd, en is echt aan een update toe, warm water is schaars. Daarnaast is het restaurant aan het strand maar hier vertrekken ook alle boten naar Sanur of lombok of gili dus erg druk met wachtende mensen vanaf het hele eiland

Vennlig, hjelpsom personal. Fin pool utenfor rommet . Bra frokost . AC fungerte bra.

Veien til hotellet fra havnen var helt forferdelig, stedets entré var som ned slitt bakgård. Rommet var stort, men ingen stoler, heller ingen knagger å kunne henge fra seg på. Det var for mange båter ved stedets strand og tidvis stinket det bensin.

Et veldig flott sted hvor du virkelig får valuta for pengene!

En flott og gjemt resort, som en hemmelig hage! Ligger rett på stranden, og stranden er så koselig og fin! Hvis du vil besøke en litt roligere side av lembongan vil jeg anbefale mushroom beach! Personalet var så hyggelige og hjelpsomme! God frokost! :)

Noen av fasilitetene kunne vært renere og nyere, f.eks badene.
