Great location. Hotel staff didn’t seem to be interested in providing customer service.

It was centrally located in Portree right by where the CityLink bus drops off and picks up people.

We booked a room with a bed they called “ a cozy double” but 2 adults in the bed would have not been able to turn over. We asked to book a regular double and had to pay an extra fee. There were a few chairs and 2 small tables by the front door in the lobby to sit at but no where else to sit and talk. The waitstaff didn’t come back after they brought our food to offer more coffee, refill our water glass or remove dirty plates. I had to bus my table one morning when there were usually 4-5 wait people standing talking to each other. Plus the music one morning at 7 AM was the band Kiss and the volume was loud. When I asked the bartender if he could suggest any specialty drinks he said “read the sign.” He didn’t seem interested in serving the 4 of us.

Very clean and spacious. The staff were so kind and attentive. A shout out to the breakfast guys who were phenomenal.

It was a little noisy outside because of the location in the center of town. Not the hotels fault at all.

The hotel was so cute, right in the center of Portree which is a really cute town/hub on Skye. The employees were very nice and a good resource. The bedroom was super clean and smelled amazing. The restaurant was very good.

No parking - the staff gave recommendations but it seems like if you are there in busy season parking will be tough. Also it was very expensive for what it was, though it was nice. The restaurant was good, but not a lot of variety for food that's not so heavy (seems to be the norm in Scotland though). The breakfast included was great value (free, included in stay). Main complaint is the stay and the restaurant were expensive for what they were. It's also not the most community vibe - maybe not ideal for a solo traveler - not a lot of opportunities to stop and chat.

The hotel itself is a historical building which looks fantastic and the facilities were well maintained. Breakfast was included. Location was good. The hotel is located at the center of the town. A restaurant & bar is located at the hotel. Some restaurants were not opened on Sunday evening or Monday noon, so it's convenient to have the meals on site. The food was good.

The heating was only available from 5pm-8pm, 10pm-12am, 6am-9am. I understand it is for energy saving purpose, but I believe it is better to mention it upfront, so that people are aware before booking. It was cold in the middle of the night, but fortunately I brought extra clothes to keep me warm. No mixer tap. Hot and cold water tap were separated. The radiator was not cleaned thoroughly. I placed my scarf on the radiator for drying but it resulted in black stains.

The room was small. I have mobility issues and 3 flights to walk up. Needs a lift. Not much variety at breakfast buffet.

Lovely overnight stop

Breakfast was lovely as was our dinner the night before. Location was great and parking easy. There were no street parking available when we got there but paid parking straight across the road.

A lift would have been nice but we knew it was stairs and so just packed a small overnight bag to bring in from the car.
