Beautiful setting, polite, friendly and efficient staff and a lovely room with super-comfy bed. Dog friendly too.

Couldn’t fault it. Just bear in mind no bar or food in the evenings unless they have special events on. Not a problem as we knew in advance and Henley just a short drive away.

Accomodation and service.

We were not told there would be 80+ people at breakfast time for a golf tournament. We had to be somewhere at 9.30 so breakfast could not be delayed - and our breakfast was delayed. This caused our party .such stress!

Just perfect staff friendly and wonderful really enjoy our stay. Rooms are clean and well equipped Housekeeping is perfect 😍

Attention to detail lacking. No spare toilet roll, toilet roll holder loose, on arrival, no hand towels or soap in bathroom, bin not emptied. Poor quality lumpy pillows

Had to get on floor and move fridge to change plugs from kettle to coffee machine and vice versa to make drinks. Then the coffee was horrible so was the milk.

The property was set in a lovely location and the staff were friendly. The room was clean.

The room was small and located up a flight of stairs above offices. We were initially happy with the room however it gradually become clear that the noise from the offices and other guests was unbearable. We were woken at 11.45pm, 1.30am, 2.45am and 6.45am by guests in room 2 using their bathroom (located next to our room in a separate room to their own) with doors slamming, floors and doors creaking and water noises. Really not conducive to a good nights sleep especially with our long drive the next day. Just before 8am there were people talking loudly in the hall and doors slamming downstairs by office users which we witnessed as we descended for breakfast. Breakfast was lovely but took an absolute age to arrive. Not great when we needed to be on our way. Only one waitress managing guests and other visitors. Mentioned issues on checkout which were brushed off as expected. The phrase "apart from that did you enjoy your stay" was used. Well not really because we just wanted a good nights sleep.

This stay we were in a room that was on the first floor. The stairs were narrow and steep, which made it tricky to negotiate with an orthopedic boot. If I had not had the foot injury it would have been fine.

The location is great and the setting is really very nice. It is lovely being 'outside'. The breakfast was very nice. The staff were friendly and the environment and decor is really nice. Dogs are allowed everywhere and we really appreciated that. It made our stay easy and the grounds are great.

The accommodation is in a working building. The staff work downstairs and both nights we were woken at 6am; maybe the golf goundsman putting his stuff in? It is very odd to have staff working downstairs coming in and out when it is a small, separate premises. This was very unexpected and disappointing. The flooring to the room made a noice with every step which was also off putting. The room was nice and clean and well presented but the conditions made it poor. Also, the bar shuts at 6pm. There is nothing in the evening for dinner or drinks. That also is unusual. We could walk into town so that was okay but sometimes it's nice to stay in.

The breakfast room was great decor and clean. The staff were exceptional, very friendly and really polite - the staff made the experience 100 times better. The location was fantastic.

The breakfast choice was very good. Our grandchildren joined us for breakfast on three mornings at extra cost and enjoyed each breakfast.

Lack of service. Has to look round for staff to check in. No signage in car park for somone who’s never been before to inform them of a reception to check in. Told it was on the email but really? You send so many emails. A sign would be appropriate. Went to the wrong house. Breakfast very disappointing - I don’t think I was served Greek yogurt - just yogurt and sourdough bread was not very nice at all.

Need to visit golf club to check in. Nice staff. Rooms are then in another building. Breakfast was good but a very long wait. Very easy to get into Henley but hotel is set in lovely grounds including the golf club so outlook is very restful and quiet. Really nice hotel, definitely recommend.

Reception for hotel needed to be sign posted as we couldn't see where to go. In the end asked in the golf club and it turned out to be where you need to check in for the hotel too.

Restaurant closed early due to winter season (stayed 8 Oct) so had to go into Henley on Thames for dinner which was fine as we were only there for one night but would have been nice to have option to eat at hotel after a busy day.

Perfect for visiting Henley on Thames and playing around of golf.

On Sundays no food of any discription is avaliable after lunch. We arrived a few minutes after 1600hr after a 400 hundred mile drive from home, we asked if any food was available but was told we had just missed it, at approximately 16.10hr. Not even a offer of a sandwich!, we feel this is not good enough for this standard of hotel, we got told we might find somewhere in Henley on Thames but we were both too tired after a very hard drive and aged 81.

Staff were helpful. Good amount of on site facilities, ie- bar and gym. Room was well maintained.

Room with separate bathroom is awkward, the fact of having to unlock doors to go the the bathroom and lock back up again is tedious. Not to mention that the bathroom is next to another room. Walls are paper thin also, so you can hear conversations in the next room. Food selection is limited for evening meal.

Fabulous room. Clean well kept. Nespresso coffee machine and fridge.

Wasn’t sure how to turn fan on within bathroom and how to turn the towel rack on. Everything else was perfect.
