We enjoyed the comfort room and welcoming staff.

The comfortable bed and clean/new bathroom, shower. The staff were very nice and helpful and the breakfast was very good. Everything was excellent. The lounge area was lovely to sit in and read.

Having a walk in shower so as not to crawl over the tub and not having the stairs up to the room. However, we had a good rate, so we didn't mind any of that. We really enjoyed our stay.

Perfect respite in the quaint town of Henley on Thames

The location was stellar with everything walkable.

No parking. One room had the heating turned off. The hot water in both rooms was not very hot. The lack of a lift made going to nd fro the room for n elderly couple difficult.

I was put I. Disable room out of the hotel in the back yard of hotel in a disabled room I did not need a room like that I booked dinner bed and breakfast they said I had to have my meal before 8 as the chef was going home cose it was not bissy that was not my folt and I did not have it the next night cose I want to eat when I wanted sow I did not get Eny I don’t think am going to news booking d com Eny moor I when away for my sixty’s birthday and it was not nice

Great location with easy access to the Thames

Location on the Thames was great; rooms were as expected; breakfast was very good; front desk staff were great; the coffee shop at the entrance rescued us when the dining room coffee machine was broken.

No onsite parking; tiny shower stalls; poorly trained housekeeping staff.

A strange experience in an otherwise nice hotel

Good location, very good breakfast

On our 3rd and last night we returned to our room and found it had been used (bed, pillows, water bottle, tv on) some time during the day. We think after cleaning in the morning and before our return somebody had been in the room. Very strange. We told reception, who understood the situation - but could not explain it- and offered us another room. We moved our luggage, but never got any apologies from the manager. One night earlier somebody used a key to get in our room, but as we got to the door, the person then asked if all was “okay” and left again quickly saying ‘good night’. We thought not much of it then (maybe housekeeping getting into the wrong room), but in combination with the use of our room the next day, this was already strange and made our stay on the whole uncomfortable to say the least.

2 star hotel with 5 star prices

Nice location

Was put in a room for a disabled person. Toilet didn't flush properly, took 10 minutes before cistern would allow a second flush. Only a buffet breakfast offered on the Sunday morning after a choice of breakfasts was on place the day before. Toaster inadequate.

All style no substance - disappointing overall

Hotel was overall lovely and was a special treat to celebrate an anniversary. The room was nice - but warm. The bed was lovely

It wasn't good value for money at all (and didn't feel luxurious either) I was disappointed to find that the advertised happy hour for cocktails did not exist and the cocktails at £15 each appeared to be made from a ready made mix (certainly the Porn Star martini was), the largely uninterested barman forgot my prosecco shot with it. He did provide this when asked but no apology. We could have gone to a number of cocktail bars in the town and had better drinks at half the price so this was disappointing. We didn't feel like we were in a luxury hotel. We ate in town and were really liked after well.

Brilliant Hotel. Brilliant Location. Brilliant Staff.

Staff were brilliant throughout including bar staff, check in, breakfast and dinner staff and cleaners. Room and bathroom were excellent. Hotel is on a junction but little to no noise during the night. Hotel is really convenient to everything in town.

I would have liked a mini fridge/mini bar in the room. Coffee at breakfast wasn't great (but i am a coffee snob and only drink black coffee). Breakfast itself was wow.. Food in the restaurant was generally top quality. The restaurant staff were absolutely brilliant. However, given the prices it should and could do much better from a presentational perspective ie fish and chips @ £24 is literally fish and chips from a chippy but on a plate (though the pea and mint accompanying was the true star) The side order of Greens on our first night was bordering on being a very poor effort. The above said, the hotel and staff were outstanding with only minor issues with its restaurant food. I will be coming back without a second thought.

The greeting was excellent. However, the three-day stay was just average.

The hotel is in a good location. The greeting on arrival was friendly and very welcoming, with a personalised message left in the room.

The food wasn't as good as I expected. The breakfast buffet at the weekend was just okay. I hadn't realised that you only get a percentage of the cost of your evening meal when on half board. Therefore, expect to pay extra if you go for two or three courses. Your bill also includes a 12 per cent tip on each meal you have.

Charming hotel in a great location. In fact it is the best location in Henley, just by the river. All rooms are refurbished to a great standard. Highly recommended.

The second morning breakfast, the staff refused to serve cappuccino or latte, but insisted on some form of instant coffee, similar to Nescafe. It was not proper filter coffee. This is surprising as the morning before it was fine to serve proper cappuccino, and all our previous times staying at the hotel it has been fine to be served proper coffee. The excuse was that they had too many guests that morning to serve proper coffee. Not great.

A pleasant hotel in an exceptional location. Some inexperienced staff need further training.

After a confused start with a receptionist who struggled to find our booking the manager took over and welcomed us nicely. The hotel was pretty and had an exceptional location. Two of our three rooms were good. The ambience is relaxing and pleasant. The bathroom products were of a good standard.

One room was extremely small, awkward and in the roof of the building with low beams and little room to move around the bed without physical injury! The people who designed the bathroom should have actually tried to use it without managing to bump their heads on the glass shelf above the basin. The shower was good except that the drainage hole was exactly where you needed to stand. There was no on-site parking. A sweet waitress announced she didn’t know how to pour wine and that, on a Saturday night, they were short staffed.

Location is fabulous - right on the river in the heart of Henley. Lack of parking was annoying, but understandable given the location of the hotel.

Room was exceptionally small, furnished and decorated very basically. The bathroom was better, but overall the room, and also some of the communal areas of the hotel were rather disappointing - given the room rates.

Great location wouldn’t stay again

Upon arrival the reception is lovely and impressive and the gent who checked us in was lovely and helpful

Our room and bed linen was dirty and we had to move to another room. The bathroom in the second room was also grubby. I have emailed several times and never heard back for the team there. Disappointing to say the least
