Location & good VFM

Code for room door not given, no staff so had to call, 3 times. No answer so sent an email. Voice mail doesn’t ask you to leave a msg and says there is no one available. Would be better to say, we’ll call you straight back. They said the code was on conf but that was only the main door code.

Gorgeous room, central location, clean and comfortable.

The WiFi wouldn’t work and because no staff are on site, by the time someone returned my email, we were checking out. I think also, some nice wooden coat hangers would fit the style of room, instead of odd shop plastic ones.

Great location by the marketplace. Lovely restored old property with period feature. Great room.

We stayed in two of the hottest days of the year (which is saying something in 2026). The lack of air conditioning was an immediate issue. It was so hot we had difficulty sleeping Windows wide open, so the rubbish collection at 4am and the market setting up from 5am woke us up. Might work better in non-heatwave summer period, although windows are “authentic” (I.e. draughty) Not sure I like the nuki door lock system. Not helpful late at night after a long day out when your phone has no charge and you can’t remember the number. Why not write it on a card and leave it in the room?
