Low Nook Farm Holiday Cottage

Absolute gem. The pictures in the ad don't do it justice; we went in the summertime, and the garden was so pretty to sit in, watch wildlife, and watch sunsets. The house is very vintage, which is what we expected, with comfy beds and an absolutely spotless space. The fireplace was a great addition in the evening after long walks. Great walks on location; Hadrian's Wall is nearby and a great walking route. The Lake District is only 1 hour away by car. The host is amazing, settled us in nicely, and gave us privacy, but was available just round the corner when we needed her. We also enjoyed watching a beautiful peacock strolling around: a great place to get some peace.

Amazing rural location. Everything we needed for the 3 days we were at the cottage, comfortable, great indoor and outdoor spaces, kitchen with plenty storage and fridge/freezer space and good cooker, a perfect location for a relaxing and enjoying the countryside.

This is a rural location, so no pub or shops close by but we were well organised had all our food/meals planned in advance. 4G mobile internet only, with spotty slow coverage, so don't expect fast internet, again perfect for us to switch off and relax.

We were greeted on arrival by Lorraine who was so lovely, we were shown around the cottage and given plenty of information on the surrounding area. The cottage itself is so cosy with lovely quality furnishings throughout. The garden is extremely well kept with plenty of seating and even a BBQ, it was so relaxing sitting out on an evening seeing and hearing all the wildlife. Pepe and Kiwi the resident peacocks roam around the grounds and came to visit quite a few times and we were able to hand feed them which was amazing. The beds were so comfortable, we had the best nights sleep we’d had all year. The property is a credit to Lorraine and her family and the pictures on here don’t do it the justice it deserves. We will most definitely book again.

This peaceful location boasts a fantastic cottage with everything you need. The host, Lorraine, is incredibly friendly and easy to contact. She’s always happy to answer any questions or concerns. The location is perfect for exploring nearby attractions. We’re already looking forward to our next visit.
