Fantastic cottage, great location

Fantastic location and a really lovely cottage. Just the right size for a family with young children/ teenagers. It's clean and tidy, the owners are lovely and really helpful. It has everything you need and is remote enough to feel like you're away from civilization but Brampton is only 5 mins away for take aways, cafes, coop and and Carlisle about 25 mins for all your supermarket essentials, walking gear shops, etc. lots to do nearby too, Hadrian's wall, loads of museums, Steam train/ diesel train rides, walks,

Hidden gem

A hidden gem. Perfect for a family getaway. Great location. The house was perfect. very comfortable beds, and everything you could possibly need. The enclosed garden was perfect for our dog too.

Wonderful escape

Our second visit. The facilities are great, it's dog friendly and having an enclosed garden for the dog was great. The area is full of good dog walks and lovely countryside and so many dog-friendly cafes, restaurants and places to go. We'll be back as it's a great base for all that the North Lakes has to offer

Lovely place to stay in spring or summer when the weather is better

The property was nicely decorated, and spacious. Especially the main bedroom. Kitchen was well equipped, but was a bit lacking in worktop space. Nice Woodburn. Nice enclosed outdoor space, perfect for the dog.

The electric radiators couldn't cope with the very cold weather. Even with the woodburner at full blast, the cottage never became that comfortable, but the weather was quite extreme (down to -8 at times). On our last day the outside temperature was much milder and the heating was good.

Very pretty traditional farm cottage. Wood burning fire, bath as well as shower. Large modern tv. Cooking facilities. Roomy accommodation would suit family of 4

I had no transport and wouldnt recommend this. Owner kindly sold me additional firewood but this was as a favour.

Great value for money. It was presented beautifully with everything you would need. It's in a good position to visit different places. It was like a home from home.

Very friendly and helpful owner. Lovely cottage. Would definitely go back.

Cosy and warm. Free WiFi. If we didn’t have to go out anywhere during our stay, we could easily have everything we needed within the cottage to have not gone anywhere and just relaxed.

Toilet handle wasn’t working like it should, flushing it was causing us a bother. Kitchen tap was dripping.
