Comfortable and Homely

Really lovely cottage less than 2 miles outside Brampton. Had everything you need. Clean and comfy. Sheep in a pen across from the cottage were v entertaining. Plenty of parking to the front of the cottage and excellent wifi. Comfy sofas for a change - we stay in a lot of cottages and they are NEVER comfy - so that was nice. It was also much larger than we thought so would be perfect for a family of 4.

I have to mention the bed. It has seen better days and was very uncomfortable and small. Maybe just us - but might be time to update.

Shower simply WOULDN'T drain properly - so extremely slippery!

The location was beautiful - yes you can hear trains and if you're lucky seeing them too but it all added to our stay! Wildlife and Bird overload - sooo many nests. But what did it for us, the Swiss Valais Black Faced Sheep - BEAUTIFUL and so cute!

The Shower was GREAT, loads of lovely HOT water, and excellent pressure, but let down by simply NOT draining properly - double lot of Buster Drain Unblocker bought and used, but STILL wouldn't drain! So be prepared to stand in your own shower water - this made it VERY slippery too!

Very nice large comfortable warm property. Even had a real log fire with some wood ready to light. Plenty of good quality toilet paper (which is nice), dishwasher tablets - that kind of little touch which makes it all the better. Also had a nice hot tub!! wasnt expecting that!

Gem of a place for a relaxing time

The Dairy is a home from home in a quiet, peaceful setting. Great base for exploring, relaxing and spending time together. The hosts were warm, friendly and on call should we need anything. The Dairy was well-equipped, warm and comfortable so made the short break enjoyable. The onsite hot tub was great, especially as the sun shone during our trip. The Dairy was a great base for travelling around the area and as we took a dog, had the most fabulous wood nearby where we saw deer, squirrels and rabbits or hares.

Would've been nice to have a book of instructions, things to note, nearby venues but we were more than capable of finding out ourselves.

Fantastic.

The Dairy was a lovely ,clean, warm cosy place to stay for the week. Its the first time in a long time of going away the television worked, so did the internet. Not much to do in Milton or Carlisle. But still had a great time ,the place was dog friendly aswell.

The security lighting needed to stay on a bit longer, didnt have enough time to walk from car to front door ,

Very clean and well presented. Convenient base for walking Hadrian’s Wall. Plenty of hot water.

Cold tap doesn’t work in front toilet. 2nd step on decking a bit lose. But these are really nit-picking.

Great location

Needed a good clean, dirty and unkempt kitchen with doors not properly attached, dishwasher not fastened down and kick boards detached, hazardous and slippy external decking and steps, lack of expected facilities, outside area uncared for
