Very comfortable , a great retreat

Wonderful location right by the Hadrian's Wall path, in an idyllic setting. Very peaceful, not a sound at night apart from owls! So many lovely places to see nearby, and we were able to get any shopping we needed in nearby Brampton. We were very comfortable and cosy in the accommodation, it's a lovely barn conversion and had everything we needed, comfortable beds, spotless. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, I would highly recommend this place, it's been one of our favourites.
I would suggest maybe swapping out the tv for a smart tv so we could stream movies? There was no tv reception, but a plentiful selection of DVDs was provided. It wasn't a problem/criticism, we weren't watching much TV.

We was travelling for work so the property being in the location it was really gave us the escape we needed after a busy day of working. Situated in a rural area we had nothing but calm and silence through out. The property, a barn conversation, ticks all the boxes.
It’s rustic yet modern and hits you with nostalgia like you’d never imagine with its huge DVD collection.
The property is clean and kept well maintained. It had everything we needed for our stay which made life so much easier.
The property comes with a fully fitted modern kitchen with everything in it you’d expect to find. It has a modern fitted bathroom with an abundance of clean fresh towels.
The bedrooms consist of a double bed in one room which are very spacious and homely and then a pair of single beds in the opposite bedroom which again had more than enough space.
The property is set back in a quiet rural area but it’s just a short drive to the local amenities. There are several shops to choose from, local pubs and restaurants, chip shops and a few others place as well.
Personally I enjoy going to the gym which I was worried was going to be to far to travel but I soon found out that Carlisle wasn’t to far either, just a short 20 min drive through the country i found my gym wasn’t to far.
My visit was for work on this occasion and I stayed in the month of November which meant I had limited day light, I loved the property so much that I will be definitely coming back in the summer.
There is so much I’d like to do and explore, the near by Hadrians Wall being one of them.

The barn itself is absolutely beautiful. There is WiFi available, and a huge selection of dvds, books, games to keep you occupied on an evening or those rainy days. It is in prime location for walking Hadrians Wall although very remote for everything else. Lanercost tearoom is 1/2 a mile away but the nearest pub is 2.5 miles
We found the mattresses a little lumpy but that would not stop me visiting again. It would be great if there was a table and chairs outside for the sunny days and there is room for a hot tub which would elevate it. The single bedroom could do with some clothes storage. On the landing there is a sofa bed where my son played. Another tv there would be a good idea for children to play in their own space. But overall we loved it and would definitely return

The location was excellent as we're all of the facilities. We will be back for a week next time. Fantastic for walking out the door straight onto Hardian's Wall.

Lovely place in a lovely area. Lots of things to do and great scenery. Plenty of walking paths. Needed a longer stay!
Best bed ever.
Only wish we hadnt found a night time trip downstairs to the bathroom so onerous.

The barn was huge for a holiday cottage,, loads of space in every room. Well equipped with everything you needed. Enclosed garden perfect for dogs. Location excellent with short walk toriver and fields for dogs. Didn't want to leave. Owners were friendly but not on top of you.
Not anything to complain about

Lovely location for a quiet break, off the beaten track and absolutely bang on line of Hadrian’s Wall. Dog friendly. Friendly owner on site but unobtrusive.
Comfortable beds.

Location was spectacular, right on Hadrian's with views that went on forever. Couldn't fault the property which had everything we needed for a great relaxing week.
Pillows needed to be a wee bit firmer!
