Good for relaxation

The service provided by the host. The creativity of the bamboo house. The atmosphere of the homestay. The omelet breakfast.

The location is hard to find, located in a small village. It's hard to find at the night, small roads and no street lights. I cant find where to turn on the water heater, i hope the host put a sign in the room.

Stunning jungle location, extremely peaceful, and delightful hosts who even checked I was home safely from my walk given massive downpour of rain. Not to forget the excellent food.

Beautiful setting for a secluded getaway.

The bamboo room was beautifully designed. I loved the round door and all the windows looking out into lush greenery. It was also very private, set down the hill from the other rooms.

Blissfully peaceful!

The design, privacy, and serenity of the bamboo house is unlike anything I have ever experienced before. We were lucky to have some nice heavy rain while we relaxed amongst the trees. I have never slept so good!!! Putu and his beautiful family were so warm and accomodating, the meals that were prepared for us were DELICIOUS and we had a full day exploring the area with the lovely Gede. I cannot wait to come back here again.

Gede and Nengah are the best hosts. They are so friendly and will provide anything you need, even going to the market to get special requests. They are happy to sit and chat with genuine interest in your story. such a lovely family Gede is committed to preserving the true Bali as well as offering activities like batik painting and organising drivers for tours of your choice. I felt safe and cared for here. Nengah is a great cook and supplies tasty breakfast and simple evening meals. This place exceeded my expectations. The bamboo rooms are so cool, each having a kettle, coffee and a fridge. They are kept clean and have the little niceties such as bed side lamps, mosquito nets, hot showers with good pressure and the all important power outlets near each side of the bed. Thank you again, to feel so included was a privilege.

A Wonderful Return to Sibetan Village🌴🌴 This was my second time staying in Sibetan,🥰 and once again, it did not disappoint. The peaceful atmosphere, the friendliness of the locals, and the natural beauty of the village made me feel right at home. The accommodation was clean and comfortable, and the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. I truly appreciate the warm hospitality and the opportunity to experience authentic Balinese village life again. I will definitely come back😍🤩🤩

Quiet place in a beautiful land in the middle of the jungle. The host family is very nice and friendly, you can get dinner with them what is delicious and with good price. The ac isn’t necessary because the weather is diferent up in the mountain.

Serene bamboo inn

Beautifully serene. You only hear crikeys and geckos, apart from the occasional chatter from other guests. Hosts are really pleasant and sweet. Breakfast (included) simple but nice. I asked for dinner as there is no eating places outside in the evening. Room is huge, there is a kitchenette. Possibly can do some light cooking if longer stay

Great place to stay

The bamboo house and the bamboo appartment are very nice. The neighbourhood is very nice for walks with friendly local people smiling and waving to you along the way. If you want to see authentic rural life in Bali this is the place to go. The owner of the property and his family are helpful and really caring about their guests. We went to our next stop with the local driver arranged by the owner. The driver was from the village and spoke great English. The price was also very reasonable and the driver very talkative which made our journey even more enjoyable. While we were staying in Pondok Salacca we ordered all the lunches and dinners from the wife of the owner. The food was delicious! I highly recommend this place!

Beautiful, great food, but loud at night due to bar across the road

The owner is a lovely man who has built some beautiful buildings. Such natural houses with great touches, so nice to be in. Super comfy bed. Food was great, breakfast amazing.

Its noisy. Not what I was hoping for way out in the jungle. There is a bar across the road that plays music, a mix of traditional, karaoke and bands. And they play it LOUD. And for a loooooong time. The owner provides earplugs but they only do so much... Its a bit of a weird vibe, the owner advises not to go there because its dangerous and to stay and drink beer in the room instead. Don't think this is every night, maybe I just go unlucky.

Back to nature- proper tropical jungle- Great excursions with guide.

I had a large ground floor room with verandah and bathroom. Hosts were very kind and cooked for me- I discovered there was nowhere I could get to without transport- and also arranged a driver/guide who took me to a number of sights on my wish list.

There was a strong smell to the room which they insisted was because it had been cleaned but I was convinced it was damp- had to have all my clothes laundered at next stop due to smell affecting all my belongings. Too secluded- my fault for not researching sufficiently. All the photos focus on Bamboo Hut which is what I thought I had booked - not the hosts fault.

Perfect place to enjoy authentic Balinese culture and life. Will be returning 100%

I enjoyed everything about this property, food was amazing, hosts were so helpful and actual bamboo room very impressive! Because I had arrived on Nyepi, Putu and his family made sure I was comfortable and also treated me to be immersed in the authentic local culture. I saw the Ogoh-ogoh parade in Sideman and was fed during the quiet day. It really felt like a once in a lifetime experience, very lucky.

Some big spiders in the outdoor shower of the bamboo house, but honestly, what do you expect? You’re almost showering in nature!

Quiet, rural homestay staying with a friendly, helpful family. Meals are available on request. Scooter hire is also available. I didn't stay in the bamboo house rooms, but my room was spacious and adequate. No AC, but the fan was fine as the accommodation is high up in the hills and therefore cooler.

A charming and welcoming retreat in the East of Bali

Staying at Pondok Salacca feels like being part of the family. To access the room, you need to go through a small courtyard where the hosts live and it is great to chat with them. They are all adorable. The meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) are served in your room as soon as you ask for them and they are delicious. We also rented a scooter from them, and it was the best scooter we've had during our two weeks stay. I strongly recommand Pondok Salacca if you are looking for a calm and unique place to stay, far from the noise and the tourists.

The bamboo house is amazing and luxury, love it. But I stayed in the small apartment next to it. It needs really good renovation, but for one night was ok. Nature around this area is so nice. Owner and his wife were really nice.

Nice place to stay if you are looking to get far from noise and tourists, but at the same time close to local shops and warungs, and places to visit (rice terraces, amazing views from Agung and the sea, Agung mountain hike). Clean and very comfortable room, it even has a kettle. Complete breakfast and u treated us very nice.

Perfect getaway from the noisy resorts!

Beautiful location in the jungle. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Food was homemade and delicious. We got fresh fruits from the back garden.
