Stunning location with access to local cafes and restaurants. The pool area and gardens are very beautiful and peaceful!

We choose this accommodation as we wanted peace and quiet and although the staff were polite and friendly, they were sometimes on their phones playing videos aloud, occasionally whilst we were eating breakfast. Also you could hear occasional throat/nose clear and spit whilst being out by the pool. They were accommodating when we asked to move rooms as we didn’t want noise from the road-my partner wasn’t well. Hate to leave any negative feedback as our stay was so nice that we booked to stay twice, but just trying to be constructive as it could’ve been perfect.

Amazing pool with mountain view!

The gardens and the pool are amazing. The mountain view is stunning too. The bungalow is big and comfortable, the aircon is really good. Breakfast is good - we needed to eat a bit earlier because of our diving course schedule, the staff was nice and organized it.

The hot water in the shower doesn’t last too long. We got the bungalow with the external bathroom, so we saw some insects (they are harmless!). We dont mind the insects, but if you have problems with it maybe choose another room with the a closed bathroom.

Close to local restaurant with a view. Great views of Agung and other hills. Not far from snorkelling at Jemeluk. Less than 10 minutes on the scooter.

Amazing place.

I loved the location, it is so quiet and surrounded by rice fields but really close walking distance to the main town. The surronding cafes are the best. The room was huge and having a Kitchenette was super convenient. Pool and gardens are stunning and staff are so amazing. Really felt at home here we booked more nights because we don’t want to leave.

A winning place for a good price.

Easy to find, gorgeous views upon entering the villa area of mountains in the background, villa was super nice - spacious, clean, quiet. Pool just outside the villa. Centrally located to all activities- short walk to shops and restaurants on site. Free breakfast.

NEEDS TO BE RENOVATED

The view on the mountains was great. The pool is deep enough to swim. Two tables for work. Decent internet connection. You can cook your own food on the shared kitchen, but it's not that clean as you might want. You can rent a bike here.

Our room was very worn out, it looked liked abandoned property with tucked-in sheets. Probably other guests with good reviews were happier than us, but we were not lucky with our so-called Queen Room. Very WEIRD smeel from the linen, dusty smell from mosquito net. There are only sink and toilet bowl in the bathroom with no shelfs, hooks and nightstand to put our belongings. Lack of lightning in the room, especially in the bathroom. The door to the bathroom didn't close, so you can only lean it against the right door frame, but it opens at the slightest draft. So you're sitting there on the throne, you couldn't reach the door by your hand and it's wide open. Cool yeah. Private kitchen was totally useless. No stove, no cutleries, no cutting board, no knives. Actually, it is a fridge and a kettle, but you have only one socket for both! So the fridge is melting while you're boling a water. I mean, instantly melting. Ypu coludn't sit at the bar, you have no chairs. It just divides the space for no reason. Only 3 sockets worked out of 4 sockets in the room, 75% rate. The plaster fell on our heads. It lay there for a couple of days while we lived there, no one paid any attention. It was dengerous and awful. You could see photos attached, and I really hope that the owner will consider this and take some care of this room.

A wonderful value for money!

A very good option, low key but does the trick and is definitely a value for money. Rooms are big! The staff were always around and ready to help. I'd stay again when I'm back in Amed so that's a good sign.

The rooms are a bit run down, need a patch up work and maintenance in a few places. I wish the rooms had a cooker.

Beautiful Place and Gorgeous Puppy

We had a lovely stay here, lovely staff that were really friendly and helpful. The room had great air-conditioning, a fridge, and a large room with plenty of storage. The swimming pool was clean and a nice area to relax in. It's also in a great location, quiet and peaceful but close to cafes, restaurants and the beach. We hired a scooter from the accommodation, which was also really helpful and a great price. To top it off, there is a beautiful little black puppy who hangs around there. He is so cute and sweet. We started to feed him and have left food with the accommodation to help look after him. So if he is still around and you like dogs please offer to buy him some food or give him some love as he is only a puppy (probably less than 6 months old) and we fell in love with him. Unfortunately, the rescue centres are all full, so the dogs rely on peoples kindness (P.S. any updates on the pup would be amazing)

Perfect experience; beautiful staff, great/calm location!

Above all, we were most impressed with the beautiful staff at Damar Sanjaya Uttama! Such kind and warm people, nothing was too much trouble!! The room was spacious, clean and definitely value for money!! R.E location, it’s in the quieter part of Amed, which we actually really loved. Surrounded by corn fields, banana tree’s and palms; with a short 1 minute walk to the volcanic black sand beach- we couldn’t recommend more highly !!

The hotel is lovely, quiet and very green surounding. Our local guide made it extra special.

We asked about a snorkeling trip as well as a transfer to padang bai after our stay. Both were organized by a lovely guide who took us on an amazing private snorkeling tour and took underwater pictures from us and sent them to us by whatsapp. That really made our stay extra special.

The breakfast included in the roomprice was nice enough, but you only had two choices, pancakes or toast with eggs.

Dirty and needs repair. Will not consider even for the cheap price.

Breakfast was normal. A view to the mountains is good.

Photos are outdated. The room did not contain a Kettle, cups, any coffee or tea. Although, it contained some ants (even in the bed). It also contained noise from outside, dirt bed linen and dirt towels. Also we needed to wait for 20 minutes until our breakfast was ready. A room needs to be repaired, but seems that the host is not interested to invest any money.

A quiet escape from the hustle of Bali with amazing view

The view from the cottages and the pool is amazing. The Staff helps organize trips and transportation to a fair price. The location war perfect for us, a litte bit outside of town, wo really quiet, still a lot of warungs and restaurantes around.

7 nights in Amed

Location is great, hotel room and open air bathroom is amazing, hotel is surrounding by beautiful nature and few nice cafes at walking distance, and 10 minute walk to city center, nice pool and large balcony area. Also the manager was very helpful and very attentive. I love Amed.

I hate writing bad reviews, but I feel like for the price I paid for 7 night stay I need to write this. My room was not cleaned for the whole 7 nights!, even after staff advised me room is cleaned every 3 days (it didnt happen). I had no daily bathroom towels. For the price I paid; I would expect daily room clean and fresh towels, the fridge had loads of mold on it! It was filthy. It's a shame as hotel is nice and Gede the manager is amazing, I just feel like the staff could do so much more to maintain the hotel.

The hotel is located in a beautiful location overlooking the mountains and Agung.

The staff were really friendly and polite. We booked a shuttle service - the car was air-conditioned and on time. We also used their suggestion to get to Lahangan Sweet. The view amazing, and the owner of the villa took beautiful photos for us with his camera.

Nice and big swimming pool. You can refill your water bottle every time.

Breakfast are quite plain. Standard rooms equipment quite old. Reservation was made for bungalow, but first two nights spend in standard room, which quality was not so good. If we do not point it out, they will say nothing. For the last night were finally move to bungalow and get scooter rent for free.

Chilled and calm place in Amed

It's a calm area of Amed, the hotel had a nice pool and bungalows around it. In the morning I enjoyed an early swim in the pool with nice view. The room was spacious and clean, the staff very friendly. Overall I really enjoyed my stay there. It's a top value for money!

Sometimes it was hard to communicate with the staff since their English was not the best. But in the end all worked out so it was not really a problem.

Friendly staff, nice swimming pool, 5-10 mins with the scooter from Amed, but was ok. I joined a local fisherman at 4.30. Super nice experience! A must do! Ended up eating the fish at his place with his wife and kids.

Great View!

Loved this place! Everyone that worked there was so friendly and helpful. I had the opportunity to upgraded to the luxury room, although the family room was lovely I decided to treat myself to aircon and a bathroom! The room was stunning with views of mountains. This place is so quiet and peacefully, was lovely falling asleep to the sound of the nature. The food was really tasty and all locally sourced produce as well. I will definitely be back!

Beautiful location close to the beach and a views on the mountain which were the highlight of our stay. The swimming pool is also great and the rooms very clean and comfortable. Gede, the owner was very kind and helpful and made us feel welcome. I'd definitely recommend this place, it's good price and worth the money.

The pool was nice and sunny during the day. In the valley of the mountains so we had a cool breeze at night. Not far from town. Room was large and the kitchen and bathroom were nice. The owner was kind and let us pick which room to have. Overall great stay and hope to stay again someday

The cottage is a little paradise

The view from the room, the size of the room and its equipment was just autstanding. You could also prepare you own meals here. The pool was amazing and the garden soo well maintained. Everything with the owners went super smoothly. Good communication and great service. The breakfast was good and the view during the breakfast was just stunning! Always coming back to this place! Clean, spacious, quality build, quiet and nice swimming pool. Big fridge with freezer, cooking place in the kitchen corner. Quiet and powerful aircon (Daikin). The owner Gede really cares about the property, garden, cleanness. Watering, cleaning takes place every day. It was definitely the best of all ~8 places we booked during our 1 month trip. Its a good view for healing, off the buzz. I like it, others may not. You need motorbike to move around. The swallows drinking water from the swimming pool during flight while I was in. Cool ! Take ride all the way up the hills over the property
