Property very near to the Cardiff central station and city centre and 100% recommended to stay

The most positive point of the property is the location. It is just 5 mins away from Cardiff Central Train station and city centre. The bus station is also 5 to 6 mins away from the property. Cardiff city centre, Cardiff Castle and other attractions can be covered while walking as everything is very close. The location is perfect to stay near to the city centre with family. The property is a old victorian building but very well maintained. The only issue I felt, as the property is quite old there is no lift and our flat was at top. I have travelled with my parents as well who are senior citizen, they felt it hard to climb up the staircase. The owner of the property Nick is very cordial, very helpful. I was struggling to handle the thermostat to increase the room temperature and Nick helped me whenever I needed. he guided me how to enjoy the city, where to go and what are the places which will be good to visit with family. I have few suggestions to make the property more user friendly: - 1. If some more light can be added at the staircase area as during the winter and evening time, the existing lights are little less. 2. The cookware provided are quite old, those need to be replaced. If some more can be added, will be great. 3. Few items like kitchen towel, hand wash etc can be provided. I am really pleased to stay here with my family and I recommend that if you don't have any problem to climb the stairs, you can consider this property - 100%. You will love the location.

The Three Ls of Real Estate: Location, Location, Location!

The location was across a bridge from the stadium and downtown Cardiff (which focuses on St. Mary's Street being full of restaurants and shops, with Cardiff Castle at its uphill end). Nick was very professional and easy to work with, and responded to all messages promptly.

For the right guests this lodging could be 9 out of 10. It is clearly intended for a group of young adult friends to use to affordably attend a stadium event, enjoy restaurants on St. Mary's Street, and perhaps microwave leftovers or cook pasta. It would be amazing for that demographic and purpose. However, our family was a poor fit. The parents are older and would sleep better on softer beds. Food allergies require us to cook food ourselves, and the kitchen was not well-stocked (no casserole dish or baking dish, etc.). The cleanliness was also the worst of our vacation's four lodgings: the living room couch covers needed washing, the clothes drying rack was broken, and some kitchen plates and pots were slightly greasy or dirty. (Again, those issues might not even be noticed by a normal set of young adult friends, as this property is clearly intended to serve.)

I'm sorry the apartment is full in August next year otherwise I would book it again

had a great cooperation with Nick, the owner of the apartment. I gave him some suggestions (I have been in tourism for 30 years) which he very kindly accepted. The accommodation is in the center of Cardiff and it would not be good if it was closer. In the kitchen there was: coffee, tea, sugar, milk, juice and of course free of charge which is not the custom in other apartments in Wales and Scotland. The kitchen was equipped with everything you need. The dishwasher and washing machine had tablets... Also the internet was good which is more important these days than having two bathrooms☺ I recommend every group to book in time especially since accommodation in Cardiff is unreasonably expensive! I'm sorry the apartment is full in August next year otherwise I would book it again

Very central and well-equipped apartment

Excellent location in close walking distance from Cardiff Central station and the centre of town. Food market just outside the property on the day we visited. Lots of space, and particularly liked the lounge area. We were a group of 3, and this is definitely big enough for 5! Well-priced and attentive host.

The only thing I would note is the beds are a little hard / squeaky

Excellent location. Minutes away from Cardiff city centre. Great to have lots of beds ,( our apartment had 5) as being a family with a teenage boy and girl, so many places only offer double beds and a small settee. Kitchen well equipped. Deposit was also refunded very fast!! Great communication from the owners. Pay to park opposite the apartment. Download the parking app and you can make sure it's taken care of without leaving the apartment. You can pay for the next day for a few hours the day before, then pay again when you return. Saves worrying about oversleeping and running over the road by 8 am when the tariff starts😁 .Free after 6. The apartment offers great value for money for families.

Great base for visiting Cardiff

The communication from Nick was fabulous from start to finish, with tips on where to go and what to do. The apartment itself is a couple of minutes walk from Cardiff Central and Central shopping areas so idea base for a visit. The apartment was clean, well equipped and very roomy .

FANTASTIC location, Practical and excellent host

We had 2 of the flats rented and they were excellent. Nick was easy to communicate with throughout, and the location of these flats is outstanding! It meant that our large group all had freedom to come and go from central Cardiff throughout the weekend with no isssues

The flats are a little tired looking in some areas, but this wasn't a concern for our group

Excellent for concerts at the Principality Stadium

We couldn't have asked for a better location, it was perfect for the city centre and access to the Principality Stadium! The apartment was very spacious and clean, with comfortable beds. We were lucky enough to be upgraded on arrival, meaning we also had a secluded garden which was lovely. Nick was very communicative, giving clear self-check in instructions and helped with any questions we had.
