Make sure that you don’t get the tree view.

Room is super confortable, view is amazing if you have one, rooftop is the best, breakfast is perfect, service is super good.

It was our honeymoon, and they gave us the only deluxe sea room view with a tree in front and no view. Fasano, you should definitively downgrade that room on a city view it’s a serious lack of respect to your clients. But they changed the room after one night and gave us a discount.

A good stay but other 5 star hotels better value, Copacabana Palace ultimately better value

Beautiful hotel with gorgeous wooden walls in the bedroom. Bed very comfortable, lovely bathroom. Hotel staff excellent, rooftop pool beautiful and certainly one of the best features.

Breakfast at an additional cost (~€30 each) seemed excessive at the price we were paying. Breakfast was quite good, although have had better selection in this price range. Breakfast room not the most scenic as it’s crammed up against the building next door. I found the general ‘dark lighting aesthetic’ a little distracting but perhaps other would like it. ceilings quite low and always thought I would hit my head off something (I’m quite tall though). Rooms certainly smaller with less space to put luggage, found it a little cramped.

Great location for exploring!

Amazing location for Ipanema beach. Staff were very friendly. Rooms were really nice! We also enjoyed the restaurant.

The plastic glasses they use for drinks in the rooftop bar weren’t very nice. Many of the staff don’t speak very good English which made it hard to communicate at breakfast and in the bar.

The best hotel in Rio, Rooftop gives a unique view of Ipanema and the rooms have an excentric vibe. we absolutely loved it. Breakfast has some improvements but thats not why you book the Fasano. Restaurant downstairs also recommendable.

Boutique hotel with minimal extras

Excellent location. Nice ocean view. Rooftop is great!

Staff ( most of them) at the restaurants and the porters could not speak english or any other language other than Spanish, so whatever we wanted they could not understand and communicate with us. The room is in need of modernisation. Cleanliness of the room was not excellent and in particular the towels very old and used. Bedding not excellent either. The TV remote control would not work. The hotel ground floor grounds are small.

Nice stay but only due to having a gorgeous balcony view. Marcus and Juliet at front desk were brilliant!

The view from the balcony was fantastic! The restaurant offered great service.

The pillows were not great so I did not have the best nights sleep. The hotel didn’t smell great during my stay, it didn’t have a fresh scent. Last time I stayed showered gel was provided, this time there was none. Seems to be Fasano own brand of soap and shampoo provided which also didn’t smell great at all. Little details that I previously enjoyed were missing, the overall service was not top notch. From the moment I stepped out of my taxi upon arrival, no one came to assist despite numerous guys standing around outside. Our taxi driver had to ask someone to come and help. I had to get my own towels for the lounger at the rooftop pool one of the mornings. The bathrooms felt dated.

Beautiful

I really liked the interior of the hotel and the room with classic design pieces and Brazilian aesthetic. Also the sea/beach view from the room and the terrace are perfect to enjoy the vibe of the city. Impeccable room and laundry service and very friendly and helpful staff.

The breakfast buffet is good but I think could be improved. I personally like a good breakfast a la cart with wide choice when on holiday.

Loved the hotel, highly recommend!

Great location on Ipanema. Congenial staff who went above and beyond to ensure satisfaction. Our neighbor kept playing very loud music in the middle of the night, and hotel mgmt came twice to resolve. For our inconvenience, hotel offered two complimentary massages. Hotel restaurant had excellent food and service.

Beautiful hotel with rude staff .

I don’t like the staff and the way they talked to my friends when I just wanted to have a drink with them in the roof top . They pretended no guests were allowed at all . When you pay this price for a room you don’t want to be treated poorly . Especially cause some other colleagues staying at hotel had guests and it seemed no problem for them to access the bar . The general impression was rude staff trying to stay polite the whole time. The whole welcoming experience felt fake and dishonest . I would also sometimes ask for hot water and it would take an hour before getting it . For the price of this hotel I was extremely disappointed on how I have been treated .

One of world’s best luxury boutique hotels

I spend most of my time in hotels and I surely can say Fasano Rio is an extraordinary one - the details of the interiors, the level of the staff, the coziness of the pool, the convenience of the location - some venues are overrated, this is not one of them

Beautiful location and safe

location was fabulous, felt safe and the views were exceptional

Check-in was not particularly welcoming (polar opposite to the hotel we had just come from). we were early but in spite of one of our rooms being ready, staff were not happy to let us use it and we ended up only being given access at 4.00 pm (one hour later than it should have been, worst case scenario). Concierge Manager and the roof top bar staff made up made up for what was lacking upon arrival and were extremely friendly and efficient.

Going to Rio and staying at Fasano Hotel? Bring your own bath towels and Nespresso coffee capsules!

Location, staff ( extremely courteous, mainly front desk and rooftop bar) and Gero Restaurant

Gym: three treadmills and a few weights can’t be called a gym. Elevators (wait, wait…). Housekeeping: ( had to go to front desk three times to to get bath towels)and the ridiculous charge of the coffee capsules ( US2,25 each) when you use the in room coffee machine. Fasano claims to be the best hotel in Rio and it is certainly the most expensive ( I paid around US $900/day) and charges coffee capsules???? SPAFinally, despite the great design planning the building is not prepared to be a hotel … space is limited and too dark. A lot of hype but short on delivery!!

Good Time

We were in room 410 nothing really exciting. Its the most expensive hotel round but the location is excellent. The bed was very comfortable and the black out curtains were great. The pool staff is the best. Jeferson, Wagner, Antonio,Macedo and Lercon the Manager.

We didnt like the breakfast as it was very expensive for what you get. They try and run a 5 star hotel and the staff can be a bit stuffy. We wound up walking to a breakfast place called Gringo Cafe. One of the best breakfast I have ever had.
