During the course of our travels we have stayed here 3 times for multiple days ... I will provide the final overview in my last stay review however in summary:
This hotel is undergoing extensive modernisation and once complete will be fantastic both for location and value for money. Staying here again as we had such a good experience!

!DIRTY!Bed Bugs!
The room could’ve been much cleaner, hair everywhere…
In the bathroom there where clumps of hair under the sink. The luggage compartment was very dirty and sandy aswell. The hotel is under construction but the new rooms are not finished properly, that i don’t mind but atleast let it be cleaned. And even though u get what u pay for it’s almost €100 a night so not worth it.
I told the hotel they had bed bugs but i couldn’t catch them on video or show them but i had bites. they said that they are sorry and hope they can make it right but never replied to me again. i spent €150 for new luggage and cleaning all my belongings and washing and drying all of it. Dont recommend at all.

Location
No wifi. Had to sit outside my room for hours making travel arrangements. It drops in and out repeatedly. Can’t watch any streaming service because of lack of wifi in room. Would not normally bother me but needing a down day from travel after several weeks and in a room with no view or ability to communicate or make arrangements is not relaxing. Wanted to call reception to ask about the problem. Phone doesn’t work, not connected to any service. Reception smelt terrible. They are renovating so bags upon bags of soil/sand are stored in reception and the smell hits as soon as the door opens.

I should say that they were under construction but knowing this in advance as they mentioned in my booking was all ok and I was ready to cope with this

The staff very friendly,
Hotel currently has alot of renovations going on. No pool, and some floors have been totally striped back, which you see when using the lift as it stops at every floor and can take 20-30 minutes to make the journey.

The hotel is undergoing renovations and the new rooms are very comfortable. The staff is very friendly. The location is good.
There was a lot of noise and dust due to the renovations. One of the days we didn’t have hot water for hours due to the construction.

It is really hard to rate this property as it is in the middle of a major renovation. The first two nights of my stay (which were on a weekend) were in one of their non renovated rooms. It was a very interesting room, complete with jacuzzi and sauna! However, the room was from another era, maybe the 1970’s! Whilst I believe the jacuzzi did work (I didn’t try) the sauna didn’t look like it had worked for many years! The room was huge and comfortable and was clean. You just needed to overlook all the patches on the walls and the fittings that hadn’t seen any maintenance for quite some time. The bed was clean and quite comfortable, if somewhat hard. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Then Monday came around and the builders returned! At around 9.00am the jack hammering started on the floor above mine, I tried ear plugs, but only last about an hour before requesting a room change. To the hotels credit they changed my room to a newly renovated room 8 floors away from the jackhammering. This room, whilst not quite finished, was modern and very comfortable. The building noise could still be heard but it was in the distance and barely noticeable. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Whilst I understand that this hotel was in great need of a renovation (based on what I sore in my first room), I don’t think they were being honest selling the hotel as a 4 star hotel whilst doing this level of major work. There was no mention of the renovations when I booked nor any discount offered. Whilst the renovations were only during the work week, during the day (and they did move me away from the noise once I complained), the renovations were on multiple floors and were very very noisy.

The property is very well situated, the rooms are clean and there is a place to leave your bags if you arrive before your check in time R$40 per room. It’s secure and safe and has an excellent buffet breakfast. Would recommend staying here with one exception - see what I didn’t like below
What almost ruined my stay was that my booking was done with a virtual card like Zilch/Klana where you divide the entire cost over 4 payments. I made the initial payment and on arrival at the hotel they should have taken the balance. Without asking the reception person just cancelled the payment. This meant I now had to pay in full with another payment method. He stated rudely this was my problem. From the UK to Rio is a long way to go to have this happen. I paid with another alternative method. But as a warning to any traveller that might want to use a Virtual Credit Cards to spread the cost, don’t the hotel does not understand how this works. That said, some of the receptionist staff were exceptional and very helpful.

Great hotel but above all the staff was the best especially Claudio! He was so nice and helpful with everything! Great location about a 7 minute walk to Copacabana beach. Room was nice with a newly remodeled bathroom. Breakfast was superb! Nice rooftop pool with view of Christ!
Sometimes the elevator took a bit of time but other than that great!!

Big room and staff was friendly
Room was dirty, bathroom had mold on ceiling, safe wasn’t functioning and they dismissed calling someone to fix it. Hotel is going through renovations but even so they will put customers on same floors where the renovation is happening. Because of this, I had an allergic reaction because of the construction dust. Besides, since there’s no service elevator, elevators are always busy and dirty as they’re used to load construction materials on it.

Breakfast and location were great.
Room was more than dated, holes in the wall, mold in the shower, stains on the covers, wall clearly needed a coat of paint, staff was rude on arrival. There was constant noise due to construction in the hotel right above our room. We were proposed to change room, so we packed all of our belongings (which is not easy with elderly parents) to move to the 9th floor. That did not change a thing, we still heard construction noises, saws, hammer, all day long. The hotel proposed to change us to a third room, which I refused because I didn't want to spend another 45 minutes packing out things and moving my elderly parents.
There was one day where we couldn't flush the toilet or take a shower, which was annoying after a long day in the sun. We couldn't refresh before heading to dinner. I was also charged 30 reals to leave my bags at the hotel as I arrived early. It has been my experience that hotels are usually happy to accommodate you in those situations. Finally, the place is rough, lack cleanliness and the staff is not super friendly. I wrote and email to the management which was never replied to. Considering all the trouble we went through, I would have liked to receive at least an apology. Do yourself a favour and find another spot. You are on vacation after all and you deserve peace and comfort, which we did not find at Benidorm Palace Hotel. Please look at the pictures and video to get a sense of what I am talking about.

Good location nearby Copacabana Beach, close to shops and restaurants
The hotel is very outdated - used to be luxurious probably 20 years ago 😅
A bit noisy street.
Not very comfy bed and pillows.

Great staff. Excellent price. Convenient location
I have stayed in this hotel many times and facility is getting a bit run down and could use a renovation, but it is a fantastic value at current price.

The hotel is in a main street and it's convenient to shops and the beach. Breakfast is good. The pool on the roof was nice as well as the view. The night staff who greeted us was welcoming. Also the housekeeping staff and doorman were lovely.
We had booked two rooms the one we had was fine but my son and his wife's room was terrible. The air conditioning unit was leaking all over the floor and they had to put towels under it and then it wouldn't work. They did get it fixed but it was old and noisy. The day staff weren't helpful except for the housekeeping staff who were lovely. They weren't interested in our issues and I asked several times to have my son moved. I was really disappointed with this hotel as it had good reviews.

the hotel's convenient location was a significant advantage. It was centrally located, providing easy access to nearby attractions and transportation hubs. Whether I wanted to explore the local sights or embark on day trips, the hotel's strategic positioning made it incredibly convenient.
I am writing to express my disappointment and dissatisfaction regarding an incident that occurred during my recent stay at America Benidorme Hotel. I believe it is important to bring this matter to your attention as a loyal customer and as someone who values fair and transparent business practices. On May 23rd, I checked in at your hotel and was informed by the receptionist that there is a charge for baggage deposit before check-in. To my surprise, I was told that I had to pay a fee of 30reais for the storage of my baggage until my room was ready. This policy was not communicated to me prior to my arrival or during the booking process, leaving me feeling deceived and taken advantage of.

The price was ok and the area wasn't to far for the beach and near places to eat.
The main hostess at the front desk in the Checking area had a really rude attitude and was a mean person. Overall a bad customer service. The room had lots of stains on the walls on the main entrance the shower was really slippery and no body was or shampoo the bottles were empty. The main room had light bulbs missing and a broken lamp.
