The breakfast was not much of deal, poor and some items seemed not to be fresh nor tasty. And I am talking about a common food like that lil bread with chocolate or the açaí that was most like a soup. The hotel, for the price, name, and 4 stars… was very disappointing. My shower was not working properly, splitting the water flow for some reason, wetting everything around, and yes, we asked to change it but the problem persisted. I was focus on my holiday and was only 4 nights thank god. 4 nights nights of poor baths, then little hygiene, not to mention the smell of water that seemed to be passing through a very dirty pipe. It looked like rainwater straight to us. Was very annoying and we thought we were about to get sick. The room is extremely small but and the TV never worked.

The hotel is good. :) The room was spacious and cozy, and the location is great - 50 meters from the beach :)

The rooms have a bad insulation and it’s quite noisy. :) any there is a strange design of the bathroom where the water from the shower constantly leaks in the room making a large puddle. :))

DO NOT STAY HERE!

It’s nice overall but very small

We were due to stay at the Ritz Copacabana hotel and we booked this as in the description it states the rooms are soundproof. However upon staying this is not the case. The first night, the noise from the road had us awake until 5 am, and then the cleaners would come into the space above our room at 6am and it sounded like a stag party. We left it as a one off. However, night 2 the same thing happened and I went down to reception at 6am to complain and they told me the cleaners don’t start work till 8am, this may be true, but they are on the 4th floor from 6am with no care for the guests trying to sleep. As a result we had two nights with no sleep and had to resort to changing hotels meaning for the rest of the stay. We paid for a premium room with balcony as this was our honeymoon and it ultimately ruined the experience, we then had to spend a day dealing with the hotel to check out and find another hotel to stay at which took a day out of our trip.

Cheap mentality and lost potential

The room comfort overall

The super cheap mentality of the staff and guests treatment for the expected standing of the hotel: we arrived super early the first day and we leaved before 6 am the last day as well, we suggested to switch the breakfast we paid for the last day for the first day they refused. They made us wait until 2pm with no exception of the fact we were arriving from abroad super jetlagged and even if they had available rooms. Everything felt cheap and by the book with no real guest-by-guest comfort oriented concern. The last day they made us make our taxi wait (it was our ride for the airport) until they checked the room and counted every coffee capsule before letting us go!!! We never saw such a cheap check out experience and overall cheap mentality for the hotel. We cant recommend it for the value for money

The breakfast was amazing. A nice selection of hot and cold food available with great service and awesome views from the restaurant on the 15th floor. We also managed to get an early check in and a late check out and a free taxi from the airport (Hi Thiago!!)

The TV’s could have had some upgrades. Smart TV’s will be better for international travellers as I could only access Brazilian TV stations. Options for streaming services and some international news channels would of been nice 👍

The location. It’s very useful for transportation around the city.

Rooms whose number ends with 01 seem to be better designed than those that end with 02. Breakfast was a bit better in the past, but it is still good. I can't get a receipt for my payment from these people, sigh.

Amazing, authentic breakfast. Excellent location, right in Copacabana. Cozy room. But the best part - the staff!! Extremely kind and accommodating folks who genuinely wanted us to have the best stay....therefore we did! Thanks for a great stay.
