Liam Cottage - Cv13

It was a very sweet cottage in a good area with a lovely shared outside space. It was a great price.

Cold, needs tlc, smells damp, would be good to connect a WiFi dongle to the tv so you can use the WiFi and log into Netflix. Have to pay for WiFi and electricity so plan for an extra £35 ish. The bathroom has a bit of mold forming. One of the lounge windows does not have an privacy such as a curtain

Tastefully decorated, well equipped kitchen. Comfy bed . Its part of Manor House set in its own grounds with lake and amazing natural waterfall cascading down. Well kept grounds.

Lack of hot water. One bath then had to wait hours for another.

the property was clean, modern and aesthetically pleasing to keep the original features. it was warm and cosy. we didn’t use the log burner as it was warm enough. modern kitchen and bathroom.

The bed was very springy, it could do with a firmer mattress or a bed topper. would have preferred the money for the electric to have been added in the original price, rather than pay for it at the property. Noise from above our bedroom (other guests) on our last night when we had to get up early for our long drive home.

Lovely location and beautifully maintained grounds. The cottage was clean on arrival and is very quaint inside. The log burner was a nice addition and we were welcomed with it already lit. Sadly, the mattress was very uncomfortable with springs digging into us which affected our sleep and both of us woke up with back pain during the week. The cottage was very cold (we stayed at the beginning of March). Whilst there was an abundance of electric radiators, we were not aware pre-booking that we would have to pay for every unit of electricity used. Wi-Fi and additional firewood were also charged as extra. There weren’t many basic things provided to get you started. For example, we were expecting to bring our own toiletries, however there was no hand soap in the bathroom provided. When there was a small issue with the shower one morning, we called the manager and he attended within 10 minutes to sort the problem out for us. Overall we did enjoy our stay, however feel this cottage needs a few added extras to get you started when you arrive such as soap and a small amount of tea, coffee and milk. Sufficient wood for your stay would also be great. Finally, a new mattress or at least a mattress topper is needed which would really make a difference.
