Beautiful setting and lovely comfy room great shower and well equipped kitchen

The grounds and room were lovely. Was very clean and a great base to explore.

No TV, it only had audio from it. We had to pay for WiFi. The bullet points said linen, I thought this would include towels, however it didn't. Thankfully I was 6 minutes from family, so I was able to borrow towels and a blanket as it was cold.

should of mentioned in booking. com write up to bring own towels as we then had to buy 2 from Morrison’s for £12 each. also that electricity was going to be an extra £20 in cash !! and although in the listing we didn’t check thoroughly we did not realise that WiFi was also going to be another £5. which we declined. mattress needs changing and we can’t see why owners don’t have larger beds.

Quiet location

Listing states 3 times " WIFI IS AVAILABLE IN ALL AREAS IS FREE OF CHARGE" + FREE WIFI symbol Yet this is not true. You have to go all the way to the bottom of the listing to discover that all the above is a LIE. There is no FREE WIFI you have to pay for it and there is no EE mobile signal at all on site. You have to pay extra for WIFI so IT IS NOT FREE EVEN THOUGH 3 TIMES IT SAYS IT IS! Wifi is with a company that has NO SECURE internet and insists you pay with PAYPAL even when you try to pay by card. In the information book it gives contradictory information saying WIFI is available on their sister site in the PUB. The price you book is NOT the price you end up paying as when you get in the room there is an envelope with a letter stating that you are being charged £30 for Electricity and payment should be in CASH and left in the envelope when you leave....No receipt or proof unless you tell them you want one. So Cash in hand for Electricity with no receipt unless you request one?!!!! There is an Old style electric meter in the accommodation and yet they say you can choose to have meter readings based on Day rate 30p Night rate 25p Standing charge 31p. Well how this possible as it is an OLDY SYTLE METER which means it does not show Day rates and Night rates is simply farcical. If they are charging a standard £30 for Electricity why is not just in the Booking price instead of the surprise letter when you arrive asking for Cash payment? This is the ONLY place I stayed in which they do not provide Soap in the bathroom!!! They do however provide cleaning fluid so you can clean before you leave ( they even knock on your door to remind you leave it clean ) . The DVD player has Scart lead and the TV has HDMI sockets so DVD is pointless as you can't plug it in. TV, Microwave, Kettle, Lamps etc are NOT PAT Tested. Pictures of ROOM "Heron" are not the same as the listing. They then pass your details on to a third party company called FEEFO
