The location is great and the staff is pleasant
The bathroom was disgusting, we had the sink just above the toilet so impossible to use it, well personally.
It was really cold inside the bedroom and the linens weren’t very clean.
The kitchen and the common area wasn’t really clean either.
For one night it’s okay but it was my limit.

Very nice staff ! Beds are a bit squeaky but acceptable in general. It’s a proper hostel so don’t expect too much.
Some people are rather interesting in the property but you can’t expect too much for the cheap price. It can be pretty loud and hygienic levels of a few are questionable

Not a lot.
It wasn’t very clean and a lot of the fixtures and fittings need updating as does the interior in general.

Very friendly staff, I was upgraded to a smaller room for free and greatly appreciated it.
The hostel could need some renovation.

Ok. The staff are all great, however, this is a real hostel, not specific to tourists, so at least half the guests are migrants, workers or others. For me this was ok... however, it wouldn't be comfortable for some tourists, I guarantee. The price dictated my stay, period. Belfast is very expensive, especially on the weekends for accommodation. My room was ok, and it was well heated which was good for the winter. There were lockers and free luggage storage before and after checkout for the day. The kitchen was also large. The only negatives were the cleanliness. It was noticeably lacking. There was soap and toilet tissue, so no issues there, but it was genuinely not clean in places throughout. The microwave has literally not been cleaned in months it would seem which reflected the cleaning routine throughout. The WiFi was fine and I had no issues during my stay, but for tourists, unless on a tight budget, it might be more atmospheric elsewhere. Nevertheless, I should reiterate that the staff were nice enough and the price was good.

The staff are always very helpful and professional. The hostel is good value for money with facilities that make the stay good. The manager Michael is also a great selling point as he is always available for assistance settling in
The toilet facilities could be upgraded a little

Showers are small but this cannot be helped. Shower hot water didn’t run as long as I would’ve hoped.

Each toilet was filthy and the heating never worked. I asked the receptionist but she never solved the problem

The member of staff that was at the front door when I arrived was really friendly and helpful
Cheap accommodation in a good location
Felt reassured that they change the code on the door each morning
They have a large box for your belongings under the bed which you can padlock
Not very clean, everywhere smelled of cigarette smoke. You couldn't take any hot drinks into the lounge or bedroom so you had to sit in the kitchen which was next to the smoking area
Lounge not very homely; very basic
The room I was in was small and cramped and difficult to move around in when other people were there
Did not feel very safe as a single female traveller and ended up leaving after the first night

Friendly and helpful staff, good value for money, close to city centre.
Warm water (from taps) at times an issue but relatively minor.

Exceptional customer service they really went above and beyond. They dragged my massive luggage to the top floor because I had an injury, they provided advice, they called taxis, you name it they were keen to help. And there were no extra charges for things like storing luggage. Such a lovely welcoming experience.

The staff were great, it had a well equipped guest kitchen and a comfy lounge with its sofa and easy chais.
There were only 3 toilets for 48 beds, and the one on he ground floor was technically a Staff toilet but we were allowed to use it.
The location is a bit out of the city although you can walk to local pubs and a tesco express. There is a 7a bus just over a block away and there that takes you to city center.
The building is pretty old and lacks things like a shelf by your bed or plug in’s but for the price it was pretty good.
The coil mattress was uncomfortable, I ended up putting my quilt under the sheet to add some padding and just slept with the duvet as it was quite warm.

It was right beside ormeau park which was where I needed to be for my event, which meant I easily got back after the event was over. The staff were very nice and held my bag the next day when I went to explore more of belfast and what it had to offer. The staff allowed access to the kitchen after I had already checked out which was amazing.
I didnt like that we had to make our own beds, and in doing so the duvet was too small for the cover so it kept moving about. The sheet was also a little small so it kept coming off exposing the mattress which had some grim stains on it. I didnt like how loud it was at night however this wasn't the hostels fault.

The location is the only positive side about this accommodation.
Our experience at this accommodation was extremely disappointing. When we arrived, we asked to leave our backpacks and retrieve some personal items, but the receptionist, particularly the woman on duty, put us pressure to leave immediately.
Although the rules clearly stated that alcohol and drug use are prohibited, one of my roommates drank throughout the night, both inside and outside the room, without any staff intervention. We were also not informed that this same guy was a long-term resident. This person had so much luggage that the already tiny 5-person room felt overcrowded and unlivable.
I felt unsafe the entire night and had to sleep with my belongings because the lockers were broken.
The photos online are highly misleading, it was small, claustrophobic, and poorly ventilated. The shared bathrooms were filthy, with vomit in the toilets and only two working toilets and one hot-water shower for three full floors.
To make matters worse, my original review, describing these same issues, was removed, likely to hide the poor conditions.
