Big Yellow Door in Queens Quarter

Very clean and comfortable with easy check in

The room was clean and spacious enough. It faces the street to the north, which is much nicer than the inner courtyards on the south facing side. The host was very prompt to answer any questions and address any concerns, even though we never saw him in person. The room met our expectations, it even had a fair size table where we could sit and eat our takeaway food, which we didn't expect. The bed was very comfortable. The location is excellent as still walkable to the city centre and a stone's throw from the university and the cafes and restos in the vibrant Botanic area.

In general everything was OK. The things listed here are all MINOR things that did not affect the quality of our stay per se so they are not complaints, but rather suggestions for improvement. 1) The bathroom could use a towel rail. It is a room for 2, and after 2 people take showers, you can hang one wet towel to dry on the shower door, OK, but the other one? 2) The ceiling shows signs of water leaks (even though we personally had no trouble with that during our stay as there was no rain). 3) The windows could be much cleaner, but I do realise that north-facing windows are where mould tends to accumulate first anyways. 4) A mini fridge would be great in that alcove where the rubbish bin is.

The place was clean and cheap, which is what I was looking for.

Could use a little more care and decor to make it more welcoming. Also, please get a french press or pour over cone so people can make real coffee instead of just instant.
