The room was very comfy and overall the common areas were tidy and well presented. The temperature of the room was just right. Free internet is always a bonus. Loved the automatic lights in the hallways. Location not far from public transport which made travel easy.
Can't find anything to nitpick. Great place overall.

Generally we had come to Belfast for an alzheimers night and needed somewhere to just sleep over. I grew up in the local area so booked here for handiness. We didn't expect breakfast and had planned to go out for breakfast, one of our early risers did avail of some toast.
It was further away from the venue than I'd remembered, so 2 of us with arthritis struggled a bit at the end of the night, but we got there, which was nothing to do with the accommodation really.

Cheap, fairly clean and comfortable bed
Holes in towels, heating not adjustable and lots of noise from the room above

This property is a self-check in one in a student area of Belfast, and ideal for short stay solo travellers. Facilities are modest, but clean and well kept. Not pricey in a taxi if you don't fancy the walk to or from the city centre. Very good value for money compared to many other options, and is definitely worth checking out.

Cold room, uncomfortable.

Close to Botanic which is where we went for drinks beforehand and had breakfast at the next day. Easy to find. Booked last minute, there ended up being an issue but I was contacted quickly afterwards and it was sorted out right away. There were a few toilets and showers so even though we didn't stay in an en suite, there was never any waiting for these. The room was comfortable and got a good night's sleep. The sink in the room is handy for brushing teeth and washing your face without needing to leave the room. Overall a good stay, recommend
Only a slight bit of noise from others but not that early and it didn't last long enough to bother us much. One pillow out of 2 was slightly flat for my liking, the other was firm and comfy

I have stayed in Big Yellow door several times over a few years. It’s always been consistently good. Convenient to the city centre.
The rooms are clean and there is a well laid out social space and fully fitted kitchen. The property is well located between the University and Ormeau areas (with good access the the motorways) and there are some nice cafes and restaurants near by.

I stayed in this property for about one week — four nights in a room with a private bathroom and two nights in a standard room. It was a great experience overall. As a student, I needed somewhere to stay temporarily while looking for a permanent home, and this place was perfect. The price was reasonable, the location was very convenient (close to the university), and everything was extremely clean. The support team was also very responsive and even answered my questions late at night.
Only on the first night, a group of people who were renting another room made a lot of noise after midnight. I reported it to the support team, and they helped me a lot and resolved the problem quickly.

Great value for money and decent sized room but could do with redecorating and sprucing up. Fine to crash for 1 night.

It was a Belfast brownstone in the holylands and it is on a quiet street near the university but convenient to the train and bus station
It was old and probably needs a redecorate soon, though it is very clean

Getting into the building and into the room was very smooth and the bed was very comfortable.
I had a bad experience with one of the other guests. He was staying in the room below me ie room 2 and came up stairs to ask me to turn off the electric heater as the noise of it was disturbing him. I didnt realise the heater was on as there was no heat from it. He arrived outside the door at 1.20am knocking again about it and when i didnt reply he went back to his room and shouted at the top of his voice how i was keeping him awake. I got up and noticed it was on and turned it off but he arrived outside the door again . I was getting up at 5am for a flight to London so obviously my sleep was seriously disturbed. I eventually said to him how he disturbed me and he disappeared. I left at 5.15am not even using the toilet as it was next to his room and wanted no further interaction with him.

Location is perfect 👌 suitable for all places. Room is quiet bigger and clean.
No heat facility this is because the thermostat located at lounge area is quiet old one and not sure how to operate, during spring time it's really hard. Kitchenware has less items.

I couldn't find anything to fault, as the whole accommodation was better than I expected and I the joy of two days in The Big Yellow Door. I can't wait to return with the hope that there'll be free dates to book. I'll surely recommend to friends as we research my late uncle Dr REG Armattoe's blue plaque @: 7 Northland Road, Londonderry BT48 7JL.
Keeping the pigeons away from the window and from cooing early in the morning.

Good location , quickly little place , nice shared lounge kitchen area , easy contactless entry
Pick up the rubbish outside , very off putting when you first arrive , also a sign as it’s not the only yellow door in the street , also some block out curtains as there’s a street lamp directly outside , just minor things .

The room was good.
The bedroom its self was good. But tbh the lead up to the room was off putting. Needs new carpet and a paint job in tbe hallways. The outside front was a bit off putting too. Weeds and rubish in the front.

Easy check in, property just as described with everything you need for a short stay. Room was clean, spacious and bright, with blinds and curtains for night time of course .Great location, just a 2 minute walk to a convenience store, a pub and bus routes into town. There is breakfast cereal provided is a nice touch although I didn’t use. I opted for an en suite room but the basic room would be a good option too as the house appeared to have good toilet and shower facilities.
no vaping in room but I’m sure that’s standard everywhere

Comfortable and quiet, had a little problem with hot water, owner repaired it in 10mins. Apologies for the problem and for delayed shower. Great stay and would use again, I would recommend it.
Everything was fine, nothing to dislike

Wasn’t overly excited about the property. It was clean. Haven’t stayed in shared accommodation for a very long time. It was ok for the couple of nights.
Didn’t like the fact the shower/toilet were down a floor. Nobody’s fault didn’t really know what to expect/ ask for. I’m sure if I had realised the lay out of the property I would have requested the facilities on the same floor. Just didn’t like having to go up & down the stairs in the middle of the night to use the loo. Absolutely nobody’s fault. The property served its purpose & was fine for the couple of nights. I just wouldn’t stay in that type of property again. More student traveler’s type of accommodation. But thank you to The Big Yellow Door. Just not for me.

Very dirty not nice smell no welcome bathrooms unclean entrance flooded bins outside overflowing

Location was great. Showers were powerful and plenty of hot water.
No cups in our cupboard for tea in the morning. No glasses for water at night. There was mould on the walls in our bedroom which I've not experienced with accommodations before so was shocked. My husband says you get what you pay for so as it was so cheap and 1 night we came to the conclusion that for the price we could live with it.
