It was clean .
On the second stay we found Newry beach which is much nicer t
han the town. Ate at the Boat House Hotel, third attempt to find somewhere to eat (6.30 ish) but it was lovely and views across harbour were great.
The rooms were very small, we stayed on 2 different nights , before and after getting on the ferry. Its more like a 20 min walk to the ferry terminal.
We stayed on a thursday and a wednesday night, it was quite difficult to find places open to eat, even though checking google said they were.

Great location for ease of ferry travel.
Great guest lounge. Drinks and snacks available and a place to eat our takeaway was a good facility.
A nice place to meet other travellers.
Not many places to eat nearby.
But the guest lounge with all amenities was a really good facility.

Excellent easy follow guides to show how everything worked. The inn served Excellent food in a freindly bar downstairs. Very convenient for the ferry.
The stairs were a bit steep. A minor concern for me but an elderly person might find them a challenge. The climb is worth it for the room was very comfortable.

Location to the port. Self service check in useful and the lounge area was a good area. The room was clean and tea/coffee facilities great.
The mattress was lumpy and uncomfortable. The pillows were synthetic, not very comfortable. The toilet dripped all night. Overall we didn’t sleep well.
