No. 9 Guest House

We had such a wonderful stay at No. 9 Guesthouse and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we arrived, Martin was absolutely fantastic. He was so warm and welcoming that we immediately felt at home. Nothing was too much trouble, and he was brilliant with our children. Our daughter has SEN needs, and Martin was incredibly understanding, patient, and accommodating with her. As a parent, that meant so much to me and allowed us all to really relax and enjoy our stay. The guesthouse itself is a beautiful Victorian house full of character, with the most stunning garden filled with gorgeous plants and flowers. We stayed in the family room, and it completely exceeded our expectations. It was a fantastic size, and the layout was perfect for a family. The main room has a double bed and a single bed, with a door leading through to a separate area with bunk beds. Both sections have their own TVs, which was a brilliant touch! The children could watch their programmes while we enjoyed ours! Everything was spotlessly clean, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. There were also lots of thoughtful essentials provided, including a kettle, tea, coffee, sugar, milk, and biscuits, as well as towels and toiletries. The private bathroom was absolutely gorgeous, especially the huge freestanding bath. It’s a beautiful room and definitely one of the highlights of the accommodation. Breakfast was fantastic and freshly cooked by Martin. He happily made what each of us wanted, and there was a great selection to choose from, including cereals, brioche, yoghurts, fruit, and plenty more. You certainly won’t go hungry here! The location was perfect, too. The guesthouse itself was so lovely and peaceful, and it was incredibly quiet throughout our stay, which made it such a relaxing place to come back to after a day out. It’s also only a short walk from the pier, so everything was really convenient and easy to get to.

Beds could have been a little better

I liked all the Victorian features at the property especially the crockery at breakfast time. The proprietor Martin was a lovely man always had time for a chat.
