Good budget hotel

This was a good budget hotel. Food was ok. Entertainment brilliant. The bed was comfy.

There were faults. My single room was in need of decorating and upgrading. The main light wasn't working and it felt cold. There was no bedside light or shower.

The location with wonderful views. Powerful shower. Provision of tea making items including biscuits! Friendly, helpful staff.

Very enjoyable thank you

Thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay from 17/11/25 to 20/11/25. This is the second stay with you. I was working as I support adults with learning disabilities and I brought an elderly lady for her to have a few days away. Your hotel was perfect for her with everything. She mostly enjoyed the evening entertainment and joined it with singing and dancing. The staff were very helpful and included her in all the songs, etc. We hopefully will be coming again and possibly for a little longer. Thank you to all the staff for being so friendly. The food was very good and lots of choice on offer. Thank you for making us welcome.

Old charming building. Inside room shows age.

The hotel is run down. OK it's old Parking only available for a tiny fraction of guests. The premier room was dowdy and worn. Three electric appliances fed from a double socket Meant moving the furniture to alternate between kettle coffee machine or fridge. Double bed, squeaky springs. Duvet too small for matress. The evening meal consisted of a choice between pork loin steaks that could be used to sole shoes or some sort of fish cake. Chips or boiled potatoes. Mushy carrots still in warm water and cauliflower that managed to be mushy florets whose stalks were under cooked. Dessert consisted of a choice of three types of sponge cake. Two of which, despite looking like chocolate sponge and possibly salted caramel, managed to taste of nothing in particular. Breakfast however, by contrast was a delight with a much more varied choice. Properly cooked.

I knew what to expect thanks to YouTube. Basic with a capital ‘B’.

It was warm. It was clean (inside). The bed was comfortable.

No shower, just a bath (unexpected). No complementary shampoo/shower gel bottles (unexpected). Dirty windows (expected). No ventilation (expected). No extra pillow (unexpected). No-one on Reception in the morning when needed.

Will never go back or use a Britannia hotel again

The breakfast was hot. The towels were clean.

The room, the lift, the corridors looked like a cheap nasty doss house. The walls, the ceilings were stained, lumpy and unmaintained. The heating didn’t work in the room. There was hardly any water pressure from the shower. The grouting was disgusting. No iron or board in the room 3 trips to reception only got an iron but no board after two hours

The hotel is fabulous. Our room was facing the mountain on the main road. Every morning we woke up to the mountain goats on the path. If we looked left we could see Llandudno centre and if we looked right we could see the sea and the pier, which was all lit up at night. The room was clean and tidy. We ran in to a few problems with the company we booked with and the staff were so helpful and friendly, they couldn't do enough for us. Thank you to Ellie on reception, Jo in the restaurant who remembered my veggie sausages every morning, Michael in the kitchen who made us a late breakfast due to unforeseen circumstances, Bob the manager who was more than accomodating when we had problems and the lovely Christina our housekeeper. We would definately recommend this hotel to anyone. Five stars all the way.

Must go at least once in your life time

I like the grand because of its location, very close to the beach but a little hill but nothing to strenuous and shops close by, a great bus service run by arriva to different locations, tourism bus's that will take you around landudno an a train that will run around the great orme with a cafe at the top with great views also boat trips when the tide is not to low,plus you can walk along the front an it's nice and flat.

Room very basic and bland no fridge or mini bar . Asked on first night for extra pillows (didn't receive them)when asked again in morning was told that they had left a message for house keeping ,how ever house keeping didn't touch room bin not emptied towels not changed and no pillows again and bed not even turned down nothing done at all.
