Tegfan -The Anglesey Townhouse

The key safe idea was a good one. The room was clean and had the basic facilities but there was neither a table nor a chair of any kind. The lady who called to me from the top of the stairs as I was leaving (who was very pleasant) asked me if everything was ok. (I think she was changing beds and cleaning at the time.) The location was very good.

It was like the Marie Celeste. I saw neither staff nor other occupants until I was literally in the hallway leaving. And, although I didn't expect breakfast to be included, I was surprised that I couldn't get breakfast at all.

We came for a Rat Race Sea to Summit Race up Mount Snowdon from Caernarfon Castle. It was really helpful having 2 extra toilets & showers which were separate to the shower and toilet in our room. Location was excellent - 5 mins walk to the Castle and all the bars and restaurants. Food was excellent in the Tan Pizza restaurant and at Black Boy Inn - and can't beat a Wetherspoons breakfast! All the locals are very friendly and helpful - love that so many people were speaking Welsh too - lovely to hear the local language. Thank you for making us feel so welcome!

Drinking glasses were provided but they could have been a bit cleaner.

Decor was very tired and the dark green colour and single light bulb made it feel dark. Although the bed shower and toilet were spotless the woodwork needed a good clean.
