The room was stunning and so clean and comfortable, the host Jan is really friendly and accommodating. We were greeted with welcome drinks and snacks in our room

Welcoming house to stay in.

The owner was friendly and helpful when we checked in, the location was great, right in the old town, and our room had a beautiful sea view.

No breakfast or meal facilities but we knew that in advance and it’s reflected in the price, so fair. We ate at The Black Boy pub.

Great room with great facilities.

Spacious room and bathroom, lots of little extras such as an array of toiletries. Great selection of hot drinks and snacks which were replenished daily. Having both fridge and microwave made it so easy to prepare easy breakfast. Bed was comfortable with gorgeous bed linen. Choice of welcome drink on arrival was a bonus too. Guest are able to use communal lounge and dining room and are allowed have take outs.

Excellent place to stay

This location had more of a B&B feel without the breakfast. But the owner thought of everything including showing us how the heat switches worked. She had a full hot drink tray available in the room, a small refrigerator, microwave, and dishes for 2 people. Excellent location within the old walled city and only a block walk to the castle. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect stay in a lovely Victorian property with premium amenities close to attractions. The best!

Everything was perfect and well beyond my expectations. The room had a lovely, warm ambience which felt very homely. It had all the amenities that we needed, including good quality, premium toiletries. You can tell that the owner, Jan took great pride in keeping the property top notch to provide guests the most comfortable stay. The in-room microwave oven complete with crockery and cutlery was an added bonus that more than made up for the fact that the property does not cater for breakfast or meals. Victoria House is one of the best accommodation I experienced during my trip in Wales. The location within the walled city is perfect with its proximity to the Castle and nearby restaurants. I will definitely stay at Victoria House again on my next visit to Wales.

Our room was beautifully decorated and had a very comfortable bed and large bathroom. Jan kindly arranged permit parking nearby. The location is excellent, being just a few minutes walk to the Castle and High Street. There are numerous places to eat within a short walk. The location was quiet. We would recommend a stay here.

Beautiful, large and comfortable room with fridge, microwave, dishes and a welcoming drink!! Even offered to do some laundry for us. Great location for visiting the town and the castle. There is a beautiful back garden to relax in.

Perfect Base to Enjoy Delightful Caernarfon

Jan gave us a lovely warm welcome when we arrived on our bikes doing Wales end to end. Bikes stored safely. Welcome drinks in the fridge. Great tips for our evening meal. Our room in this characterful house was gorgeous. Luxurious touches such as ground coffee, Portmeirion crockery and comfy bed and bedding. It was our favourite place of all that we stayed in during our 1 week tour and we highly recommend Victoria House for a perfectly located stay in Caernarfon.

ROUND WALES BUS TOUR

My bus into Aberystwyth was late and I missed my connection to Caernarfon. The next one was 2 hours later which meant I would arrive at the Victoria outside the booking in times. I contacted Jan to let her know and she was very accommodating even though she was under the weather and said their would be no problem. She was very welcoming when I did eventually arrive. Room was very well laid out and facilities were second to none. No problem recommending this accommodation.

Amazing Hostess

Jan, the owner, is amazing!! She made our stay ideal! We can’t thank her enough! Never before had we spent time in Wales and after a chat together my husband and I felt very comfortable on where to go. The area was not packed with people which made it a great place to absorb its offerings.

The perfect lodging for Caernarfon, Snowdonia, other local northern Wales sites

if you like an in-town location (as we do) Victoria House is a gem. Ideally located on the inside of the old town wall, two blocks from the castle, the main square, restaurants and shops, close to the water (river and straight) and the marina, and yet quiet with a residential feel. The building is quiet, beautiful and well maintained. The owner, Jan is everything you would like in a host - welcoming, helpful and generous with local information. She provided a permit for the car park a 5 minute walk away and took us there to make sure there was no confusion. Parking is also available on the block, and we found parking there within 30 meters of the house on all 4 nights of our stay.

Excellent communication from the host. Excellent location. Well furnished (Oak Furniture Land) and a big bed. Included was a microwave and fridge and Whirlpool bath (didn’t try it).

Difficult to park outside. However, a parking permit was provided for a car park five minutes walk away.

Fantastic start to our welsh holiday, beautiful accommodation

This property and our room were both fabulous, so close to everything and easy to find. We loved the facilities to allow us to dine in should we want to, and the availability of access to the city wall for lovely views, oh and the bonus of a welcome drink and Welsh cakes !

A Welcoming Stay !

We stayed overnight as we were attending an event in Caernarvon in the evening. The accommodation, the locality and the room's comfort were excellent. From the moment I'd booked, Victoria house had got in touch, offering hospitality and giving us both directions and helpful suggestions to questions I'd asked. A good and comfortable stay and I would not hesitate to re-book when we visit Caernarvon, hopefully later this year. Also, a good night's sleep for us both and comfortable bed ! Thank you very much, Victoria house, for your kind hospitality.
