It was OK. But do not stay in the Hereford room name. Picture attached. That was my room.

The bar was OK but expensive for drinks. My colleague had food which was OK. We had several drinks. Did some work catch-up and then went to bed.

The room and the facilities are very good. Unfortunately, I never slept very well. As my room was at the back above the kitchen area. The extractor fan was working on and off all through the night. The room doesn't have double glazing, just single-glazed windows. Secondary glazing would probably have solved the problem. Secondary glazing is relatively cheap to install on the inside.

Such a great place to stay when visiting Sheffield.

Close location to Thornbury Hospital. Lovely bar and restaurant - great atmosphere and meals

Lovely building- staff all friendly and welcoming. Hotel rooms very good standard with good power shower. We had drinks in the bar and meal in the restaurant which was lovely. We stayed here before surgery at the hospital nearby so it was in great location for that.

Location great for near hospital but would need to drive to other facilities.

The carpet was dirty the walls needed painting and no dusting on shower and high up, noisy radiator.

I stayed for one night and overall had a really great experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and well presented, and the staff were lovely.

The only downside for me was that the mattress was quite firm. As someone who has had lower back surgery, I struggled a bit with comfort overnight. Other than that, everything else was excellent and I would happily stay again.

Excellent stay at the Florentine as always - comfortable, clean, great food and a great welcome

We love the Florentine and always stay here. We always have an exceptional sleep - the beds are so comfortable! This is a very nice, quiet and comfortable hotel. The service is always excellent by Julie and her team. The proximity to Uni of Sheffield is very convenient for us. Breakfast and dinner is always very nice and we have eaten here many times. Plenty of parking at the Florentine and it is in a great location just outside of the city centre. You can walk in (it would be a fair walk!) or the buses and UBERs are very convenient and reasonably priced into the city centre.

A comfortable hotel with good facilities.

The Hotel appeared to have a very popular bar and restaurant although we did not have any meals during our stay. There were plenty of parking spaces.

Our stay was in December and during the run up to Christmas. This meant it was very busy but there were a lot of children who were allowed to run around the bar area and surrounding rooms which meant it was quite noisy. No alcohol is served to residents after closing time even when 2 bar people were clearing up at 1115 on the Saturday night.

The building and grounds were nice in what seemed like a nice area. Loads of parking. The pub/hotel had a nice feel, nice decor, clean, breakfast was good and included. Can't comment on evening meal as ate at a pub nearby. Was very impressed with the room, very large, clean, huge bed and very comfy. Nice big shower. Will definitely stay again if working nearby.

Good location but over priced for facilities and condition of room.

Breakfast was okay. Just good but not exceptional. Coffee was very strong. Room size okay. Comfortable bed and good bedding.

Toilet seat was broken - this was less than ideal. Shower trap was also broken so bathroom smelt of stale water/ unpleasant. Only breakfast tea in room ( or mint) - no earl grey. Carpets quite stained. One window did not fully close. Quite a noisy room - from traffic.

Recommended to me as a base for my husband’s stay in a nearby hospital . Very welcoming and friendly.pleasant decor . Staff were very attentive and helpful. The room was very large and comfortable. The bathroom is modern and well equipped . A little bit chilly due to draughty windows but not a serious concern . Very clean and comfortable.

Easy to find. Lovely large room with a comfortable bed. Both meals we had, lunch and breakfast were good value and tasty. Staff were lovely. Welcoming and so helpful. Very good value stay.

The room was spacious with everything I needed. Full length mirror with a socket next to it so that I could dry my hair easily. Instant heat when I turned the radiator on. DAB radio . Lovely shower products. Good black out curtains, usb sockets by the bed. Very comfortable bed and linens.

Large gap under the door which I had to cover up with some clothing as it let the light through. Anyone bigger than me would have struggled with the shower in this top floor room because of the angled ceiling.

Paid £150 room only and very disappointing

The breakfast was good and friendly staff but sadly the room was very poor.

The Dexta bedroom we stayed in was poor the windows were dirty and would not close leaving a big gap and the furniture of poor quality. A wall Clock not working and areas around the outside of the shower cubicle and toilet basin needed cleaning and new sealant. Very disappointing room. We asked a member of staff to try and close the window but nothing was done! I understand an other guest had a similar experience with the windows.. At least the bedding was clean!

A warm, welcoming hotel that made our wedding stay special, with lovely staff and great service.

We had a lovely stay here over the weekend of our wedding. We booked out all the rooms for our family, and the hotel handled the group booking with no issues at all, even though we all arrived on different days and times. Julie, the manager, and the entire team were absolutely wonderful, so welcoming and friendly. Everyone congratulated us on the wedding, and the overall atmosphere was warm and relaxed throughout our stay. Our room (deluxe suite) was spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast each morning was great. We also had a table for 21 in the restaurant one evening, we had pre-ordered a week before, and everything was handled really smoothly. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. We’ll definitely be coming back; this is now our go-to hotel in Sheffield. Highly recommended for families, groups, or anyone looking for a well-run, friendly place to stay.
