One of my best hotel discoveries of the year

We booked it as we need a transit hotel before our flight. Nice location - very accessible if you arrive by train. Quite unique setting. Got a great free upgrade. Nice spa area and great breakfast.

Bed is comfortable, location very convenient, al the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I needed to find an English speaking doctor, Aurélie spent a lot of time helping me. I am very grateful.

Convenient to train station and park but not to lively nice commercusl areas .

The property was very close to the Train station but in a very quiet area near the most beautiful botanical park. The room was very quiet. On the outside the building was quite beautiful. In an old church. And in a quiet walled yard. Very clean.

The property was not in a lively commercial area . A streetcar ride or long walk to get to good restaurants and most tourist sites. The building was in a beautiful older historic building while g th internal spaces totally did not reflect that . Ultra modern and worn. A waste. My room was very small and awkwardly shaped . Difficult to unpack . No counter space in bathroom . Shower stall leaked onto floor. Breakfast was limited selection . Eggs poorly cooked. Staff not particularly friendly. No mini fridge .

A quiet spot next to the botanical gardens. Comfortable bed. Very clean. Friendly receptionist.

After a 6 hour drive we were really tired and just wanted to relax and have a glass of wine in our room. Really unimpressed with the paper (plastic coated) cups in the room. In the two weeks we stayed in France this was the only hotel that didn't provide glasses. And no spoons - only a wooden stirrer. My husband asked if we could have a couple of glasses but was told 'No, we are glass free.' Utterly ridiculous to create so much wastage. I can only assume they cannot be bothered to wash the glasses....and are not thinking of the customers OR the environment. They are clearly not 'taking it on board' as I've seen other reviews mention this and a 'copy and paste' message from the hotel not addressing it... There is no excuse in this day and age to not be more eco-conscious. Very disappointing. We were unable to book a car parking spot - as they only have 4 spots. Fortunately there is parking close by so we were able to park on the road next to the hotel. We found the breakfast a bit underwhelming. I would have preferred to just have a decent coffee with a normal sized fresh croissant rather than tiny dried small ones....

Lovely quirky hotel in excellent location.

Clean, comfortable hotel with excellent staff. Our room was well designed with loads of character. Location was excellent right beside the park and a short walk to the centre of Nantes.

Not a lot of facilities in the hotel, and breakfast time was a little cramped, but these were minor issues.

The internal design was not in keeping with such a beautiful building. I went to this place to see specifically how the church had been converted and it didn't meet my architectural mindest.

Lovely quirky hotel. Helpful and friendly staff at reception- Maeva especially. Enjoyed a 3 day break in Nantes staying here. Close to delightful Jardin des Plantes and very convenient for the railway station and getting around the centre.

Fabulous location on a quiet road just outside the walls of the magnificent Botanic gardens. This hotel is a former church converted with great taste and style to a modern hotel. The air conditioning was so welcome during the hot weather.

Sanctuary in Nantes

An amazing building - artful conversion of a church into a hotel. Rooms are spacious, clean and really tranquil. We had a view of the botanic gardens too. Staff were really friendly and helpful and the hotel is well situated for exploring the city. Would definitely stay again.

the property was directly across from the beautiful Jardin du Plantes. walking distance from everything. The property was clean, the staff was incredibly kind, friendly and helpful. The petit dejuner was fantastic. Again the staff was superb!

there was nothing to complain about at all. we didnt reserve parking but there were spots right out front. parking is free 7pm-9am

Staff were really helpful and went the extra mile

The options for food were not great, it was teaming down with rain so we couldn't get out and we had our dog. We opted for the room service menu, should have chosen the fresh meat and cheese platters, however, we went for the hot options as we had been travelling all day which were microwaved, which is OK, but they were pretty tasteless

The hotel does not have a restaurant to for us to have an evening meal we had to walk 10 mins in the pouring rain to find a restaurant, after a days travelling we would have preferred to have not had to go out again once checked in. we would have been happy with room service or take away deliver options.
