Very accommodating staff. Clean and comfortable.
Cold room in winter. No obvious heating without putting on convection heaters which you should not keep on overnight.
Told breakfast would be 7am, Turned out it was 7:30 so had to go without as time was of a necessity to get to my first meeting 3 hours away.

What a lovely “local country pub” - rooms were great, the bar/restaurant area was wonderful. Busy but didn’t feel overcrowded. The food was amazing. And really convenient for Thruxton Motor Circuit.
There was nothing to dislike here. Everything and everyone works together in this place.

Staff very friendly and welcoming upon arrival. Excellent menu choice. Good breakfast selection. Bed very comfortable. Appreciated the little touches like the radio on gently as we walked into our bedroom, the compllimentary biscuits
Room a little small.

The bed is comfortable
The bathroom amenities are nice
The location is great
The heating is muddled - either freezing or too hot and stuffy
The bathroom needs help - there is mould on the wall and there is obviously a damp problem

The Hawk was a fantastic venue for our weekend break. A lovely place in a lovely location. The food, staff and rooms were all excellent. Will definitely stay here again if in this area in the future.

A really nice place and excellent value for money. The room was comfy, with good facilities, and the staff friendly.
nb: NONE OF THESE WOULD PUT ME OFF RETURNING but there were a few things:
The shower floor was slippery. A mat would be great.
The curtains weren't really big enough for the window - not a problem in the winter but would be a problem in summer
There was some noise from the car park around 11, but it's a pub, so...
I couldn't find Nespresso pods for the machine.
But I still give it a 9/10

Perfect location for a quick stop over visiting the Hawk Conservancy. Lovely pub and restaurant, service great and all staff helpful friendly and welcoming. Had a meal in restaurant which was first class. Room was warm and cosy and provided all that was needed. Many thanks
Shower door didn't close properly so leaked ~ probably needs a little attention !! Drinks in bar a tad expensive for a country pub !!

Excellent welcome and staff couldn't do more to make you feel welcome.
Rooms well equipped but this is an old property so finishes aren't 10/10 - still comfortable though.
Food excellent - good quality ingredients on evening meal and breakfast.
Loved the fresh milk provision in the fridge rather than the usual cartons - and quality of biscuits excellent.
Good toiletries provided
Minor issue of coffee stains on carpet and the desk seat (room 1)

Idyllic location, great food and excellent staff
Comfy bed and pillows
Little fridge with fresh milk!
Bath water came out in a trickle, heating in the corridors was not nice in August, room too warm even with a fan, wardrobe door missing and the crashing of the fire door outside our bedroom into the night.

Quick one night stop over. Only thing that spoilt it was the constant sound of an extractor system right next door and the badly stained carpets in the hallways let down the general standard of the place

We’ve stayed here on a number of occasions so we knew what to expect. It’s a good stop en route to London from West Country & apart from a disappointing arrival it was as comfortable as we remembered
We booked the standard double room which was at the rear of the property. It was small, quite shabby with an unwelcoming very small tatty outdoor patio type space. There were coffee stains around the kettle area & biscuit crumbs on the chair. I immediately went to have a quiet word with assistant manager. She was very apologetic & understanding. We were relocated to a lovely room overlooking the green to the front. We’ve stayed in this room before, it’s large & well furnished with a separate lounge area.. In evening, not as many people as we’ve seen before on a Saturday. The atmosphere was a little flat on patio at dinner so suspect it may have lost some popularity but can’t comment. Dinner was pleasant enough & particularly like the idea of mini pudding & cocktail deal after meal.

Nice location in a lovely village
Meant to be a traditional village pub but problem with beer lines and no draft beer. Food was ok but took ages to come out. Room very tired.

location
The room smelt of dogs/cigarettes and was dirty and in need of refurbishment. The fridge had not been cleaned. The TV freeview and DAB radio did not work maybe because of the poor internet signal in the area. I could not use the TV apps either. I asked for assistance with the TV and it appeared plugs had been pulled from the back of the TV so not sure if there was a problem with it. There was black mould in the shower and on the window panes. It was hot and although there was a fan the window would not open fully. The toiletries dispensers were blocked so I have to undo them to dispense any liquids. The coffee machine did not seem to work properly and very few pods were provided despite the pod menu in the room showing numerous options. The room was very shabby and did not reflect the price paid. I stayed the previous night in another establishment in a more central/better location for the same price - it was so much better and also included breakfast within the rate. However, I would not have taken breakfast due to worries about cleanliness.

Fantastic village pub with good choice of beers and food. Food quality was good as well as the service. Rooms are better than average and comfortable. Electronic check in and check out was very good.
Not much not to like really

Great location just outside of Andover. Rooms are clean and tidy, a little on the small side, but fine for a single night or two.
Staff down in the bar are friendly.
The food is great from the bar, and quite a varied menu with plenty of choices for everyone.
The beer garden out front is lovely.
Plenty of parking around the side and back.
Unfortunately there was no chef available for breakfast, and waited almost an hour for food.
Front of house staff were very apologetic, but £15 for a coffee was quite steep. I was told it would be complimentary, but I haven't seen the refund in. - I'm not going to chase over £15.
Rooms don't have air conditioning, and on hot summers days, can be quite uncomfortable. They have large dyson fans in all rooms now, so not the end of the world, but if AC is your thing, then bear that in mind.

Staff were friendly and helpful. The food was decent. Everything was clean and the pub has a nice slightly rustic feel to It. Parking provision is good. Nice location with beer garden with a field and a nice river running through it,. Surrounded by green fields with livestock. Horses kept close by and guests were enjoying looking at them. All in all the place is ok I liked It. I would return and stay again if passing through.
Nothing I did not like really I have no complaints.

Very lovely property, exactly what we were looking for.
Nothing, only complaint would be that the menu was limited and there was a lot of stuff not available
7.0 / 10.0
Excellent location, very pleasant staff. Room was clean and bed nice and comfy.
Menu for evening meal was disappointing, made worse by the only steak option being sold out. Only one option on specials board (fish). Too expensive for what it is (both food and room).
