We were made to feel special and had a wonderful one night stay at the Fox

We were given a warm welcome on arrival. The room was spacious and comfortable with every amenity available to make your stay special . The fresh milk in the fridge for tea and coffee making was a welcome treat. Breakfast was a real feast. Beautifully freshly cooked and prepared . The staff were excellent and the housekeeper (didn’t get her name ) was very friendly and gave us lots of tips and advice on the area .

A lovely little hotel in a beautiful location

Breakfast was lovely and the service by Tina was brilliant. We loved our room especially the roll top bath. The sofa bed wasn't made up for my granddaughter when we got there but the staff sorted it immediately even though the housekeeper had gone home by the time we checked in. This is the third time we have visited the Fox - we love it and will be back again.

We were very impressed , love the area, close to Winchester and would definately return

The whole experience was amazing. My partner and I arrived for a one night stay. The room was spacious clean bright, a lovely comfortable bed. We had a great choice for our evening meal and it was delicious . Breakfast the next morning was perfect with lots of choice and cooked to order. The staff throughout our stay were welcoming, pleasant and attentive. Special mention for Tina who greeted us for breakfast. Friendly warm and nothing was too much trouble. She chatted with us after breakfast and gave us tips and information about the local area. A real character.

We were on the 1st floor and there was a bit of noise from people walking around above but it did not detract from our stay

A perfect place to stay for visiting Winchester.

We liked everything about our stay. The room was lovely and we enjoyed the breakfasts too. We had lovely evening meals in the restaurant and were well looked after by the waiting staff and the kitchen with our individual requests. A wonderful place to stay for exploring Winchester.

Quite location near Winchester, off street parking with in house restaurant and bar.

Great quiet location, lovely in house restaurant, breakfast personalised to our taste and freshly cooked. Off street parking and surrounded by thatched roofed cottages. All staff that we had dealings with were friendly & engaging. We would definitely stay here again.

Delightful location, a very friendly welcome as were all of the staff throughout, the restaurant was excellent as was the presentation. The included breakfast was again very well presented with a good choice. Car parking was easy and good

My stay was excellent

I arrived by bicycle and the staff were very accomodating, bringing it inside at the end of the night. Food was great both at night and breakfast. All in all the staff were very attentive.

when I returned a few dates later just for a quick drink and perhaps lunch, I hadn't realised it isn't open during the day.

Lovely little hotel with a luxurious feel.

Gorgeous quaint hotel, that has an elegant feel. It's well thought-out and feels luxurious. Lovely handmade soap gift, and biscuits in the room. Amazing, generous breakfast, and dinner was excellent in the restaurant.

Hard to fault anything other than this. Sadly the 'double' bed I had was tiny; you wouldn't get two people in it comfortably. I'm petite, but was lucky I was travelling alone as truthfully it was more like a queen.

Lovely place to stay.

Lovely room and bathroom, nice bar and restaurant and delicious breakfast. Have stayed here a couple of times before because it is so nice.

We were in the room on the top floor, which is a bit of a walk and 2 flights of stairs. There are also a number of doves that are quite noisy early morning.

Nice cosy, friendly country village hotel.

A very cosy, friendly country hotel, comfortable, while not luxurious, just what we expected from an English village tavern. The food was very good, and the staff really friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again when visiting Winchester, and easier to park than in town.

Amazing hotel, staff, quality of food, quality of materials (e.g., soap in the bathroom, pure squeezed orange juice for breakfast).. just really exceeded my expecations, and all for a modest price that matches other hotels who just fall flat on their delivery.

Quality of coffee at breakfast wasn't the best, but at least they provided a whole cafetière (about 1L) so the quantity was plentiful.

Everything really, beautiful little place with loads of charm and very clean. Food in the restaurant exceptional. Highly recommended!
