Very attractive pub with friendly and helpful staff.
Carpets in the room could have been cleaner but we did book a dog friendly room, so didn't expect anything else.

Room clean, tidy and comfortable if a little on the small side.
Evening meal was very good and staff accommodated our late arrival. Good selection at breakfast.
Staff were all very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome.
Perfect for our one night stay.
Room was quite small and the sink in the ensuite was quite hard to use for washing your face as it was particularly small but everything was clean and tidy and adequate for our one night stay.

Super cosy bedroom and lovely breakfast
Was a little chilly in the meeting room, perhaps have another heater in there on very cold days?

Great location for visit to Highclere Castle, lovely atmosphere, helpful friendly staff, nice food.
Beds. We didn’t sleep well. The bedding was lovely and clean but the pillows and duvet were too well used with no support (pillows) and could do with upgrading. A mattress topper might help too.

Water very hot, burnt my stomach in the shower as temperature changed whilst I was washing 😳

Thought the choice of breakfast to be a little limited.Choice of fruit yoghurt and cereal was extremely limited. Choices of bread very limited.
The room was very small indeed you couldn't swing a cat in it. Two people paying £168 per night. There was no where to put anything at all. A small cupboard filled to the brim with hotel things!!! No wardrobe so things on floor and so it was dangerous. I tripped a few times trying to get to bathroom!

Not a thing it was all very nice.

Dinner was very good value for money - on site, with friendly staff. The room was good and clean. Shower was good. Just the sink was a little bit too small (and low). A lot of amenities in the room, a full bar and several snacks on display (which are of course for sale). Thanks for the complementary bottle of water. A savory and sweet breakfast was included. Easy parking on site. I can recommend this hotel - especially for people who want to visit the Highclere castle, that is not even 5 minutes away.
I had a small room ("small double room") and I guess that's the reason why I could hear my neighbours speak, plug in the electrical appliances or put on the switch of the lights. I guess, the thin separation wall has been added afterwards. I was lucky because they were going to sleep at around 11 pm (except for the occasional cough). My friend had a standard room and did not hear the neighbours.

Firstly we were out in a disabled room as this is tv only twin room they have
We were asked to leave the bar at 10:40pm as they were closing although the time of closing should’ve been 11:30pm
At 7:20am on the day of check out there were people outside our room talking very loudly - Thai was the acting manager and clearly a new member of staff as she was being told how to clean the Rooms, also all of the things to replenish and clean the room was dumped right outside our room door.
The way we were treated as customers

Great! Exactly what we wanted. Classic pub & inn. Not too posh & very classy. Highly recommend!

It was close to the event we had been attending. The rooms were nicely decorated with good en-suite. Good breakfast.
Very friendly and helpful staff
We will certainly look up Young’s rooms when we go traveling again
Though my husband found the bed comfortable I didn’t like it much

Lovely establishment very close for Highclere Estate when open for tours
Felt the mattress was too firm or hard uncomfortable sleep, May not be the case for everyone’s sleep needs, many items or ingredients missing from menu ie hollandaise sauce for adding to appropriate dishes

beautiful place, friendly staff, excellent rooms and facilities - 5/5 breakfast! very handy if visiting Highclere Castle - literally 1 mile away!!
Couldn't get an evening meal as were serving pre-booked diners only - not walk ins - as had had a very busy weekend and were running low on food - not a complaint - it's a good sign of good food!!! Would suggest they advise visitors to pre-book meals on weekends then up to the customer if they do! Room was a little noisy as by the A34 with windows open on warm evening, but decently soundproofed when closed and inner shutter closed - again, it is what it is and wouldn't put me off staying there again at all! Would highly recommend!

Beautifully appointed throughout. Welcoming efficient check in. Comfortable, very clean and well serviced room. Very friendly cosy atmosphere with very attentive friendly staff
Situated between two extremely busy main roads. Don’t be put off this didn’t disturb our sleep or our enjoyment of the facilities. The property facilities and ambience more than makes up for this.

Staff welcoming and very efficient. Everywhere clean and tidy. Breakfast and evening meal were very good. Room a little on the small side with limited space to sit. Adequate for short stay. Parking was fine. Would return.
Would request larger room.

I liked how modern it was on the inside, yet retaining the old roots.
our room was between the two main roads, so if you are a light sleeper it may have got to you.

A lovely traditional country pub with great rooms on the ground floor. Very nicely appointed although a hook in the shower room would have been handy. The toiletries were great and available to buy as were a good selection of drinks in the fridge and snacks on the table. Bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet with no noise from the A34 behind the hotel
Choice at breakfast was good. The whole place looked so lovely with many flowers decorating it. Really pretty.
Lots of parking.
Would be very happy to go again.
The Wi-Fi was only average but better than nothing.

Lovely shower nice size TV food was nice had the burger but not worth the price we paid
No wardrobe to hang clothes certain staff on reception need training as we said the milk had gone off and was told it wouldn't of gone off and we should have checked the date ourselves there was a fan in the room when plugged in smelt of burning

Room alright
Really scented smelling room. Not a problem for most, but we are allergic and had specifically asked to remove any scented products and it was confirmed they had but they left perfume sticks in the bathroom, the worse for our allergy.
Extremely loud noise, M4 directly next to the hotel.

Room was cramped, very noisy from the road, morning staff were real jobs worth and did nothing with a smile. Food was reasonable

The staff were friendly and the restaurant area was nice.
Lots of flying ants in the room (the windows were open when we arrived). Chasing flying ants around the room led to the discovery of ridiculous amounts of dust on the lamp shade which hung over the bed. The shower went boiling hot and then freezing cold and the plug in the sink didn't work. There was no coffee in the room which wasn't decaffeinated. The mattress was solid and the sheets felt low quality. Incredibly disappointed with the room given the price we paid and I'd recommended that anyone else heading that way books the Premier Inn.

The hotel was gorgeous and quaint. The food was outstanding. Staff really friendly and helpful. Loved it and will definitely stay again.
Air in the heating system so the radiators were rating sometimes quite loudly bit staff aware and arranged service.
