Perfect hotel

The hotel is in a very good location. It is centrally located, yet quiet and peaceful at the same time. It offers all the amenities we needed during our stay. The staff were extremely kind and helpful. If I ever return to Bali, I would definitely stay here again.

To be expected in an older building but bottom floor of 2 story apartment had strong mould smell and there was a fair bit of noise from construction next door.

Magical. One of our best stays anywhere!

We loved the beautiful gardens, the way each villa was built which gave a sense all guests had their own private space. We loved the pool and the spa - both were great as was the bar built beside the pool. Then there was the dinner and cultural show that was put up on Thursday night - that was a great experience! We loved the staff who served us at the breakfast room, at the pool, and everyone greeted us whenever we passed by. Special shout out to Dharmika, Ayu & Mita, Gungde & Aditya and many others - you made our stay special!

I had an amazing stay in Rama Phala Resort & Spa. The accommodation is located in the middle of Ubud, on the main street where you will find shops, restaurants and pharmacy. But at the same time it does feel very private and you have the feeling that you are staying in the middle of a jungle with a lot of greenery.

The rooms were a bit noisy. I could hear my neighbors clearly which made it difficult with sleeping.

Refreshing oasis

We stayed in the family villa right down the end of the property. It was stunning and very quiet, tucked away in beautiful gardens. The pool is refreshing and relaxing. The breakfast was amazing, plenty of options, French toast was a fave!v

The noise from the yoga studio next door was loud and non stop on some of the days.

Perfect Location, Lovely Spacious Room & Gorgeous Pool

The Room was Spacious & worked really well, it was also well Facilitated. Bed was a great size & really Comfortable. Large Windows & an excellent Balcony. Bathroom was big with the Shower Outdoors, which was lovely. Located perfectly, just off the main road. Staff were also amazing. Mosquito Spray in the room was a pleasant addition.

The breakfast was a bit of a let down. Majority of the menus consisted of eggs. The Pool Area, although Beautiful, didnt seem to have enough loungers.

A resort with great potential. Easy to stay

Fabulous position in central Ubud and the grounds are meticulously kept. Rooms were well maintained by cleaning staff. Gorgeous open bathroom and shower Staff very helpful with picking up bags on departure

Poor lighting inside rooms. Kitchen area with cooktop but totally bare of any equipment Food was poor. Ordered pizza one night and it came out “cooked” very quickly. Base was close to raw and cheese on top barely melted. Asked to have in returned to cook further and it came back 5 mins later no better. There was not an abundance of food ever. Staff were super sweet but there didn’t seem to be any leadership. Staff had a banter of questions they all seemed to ask and having that daily while we stayed for a week became annoying. Often there was no one at the bar at the pool and felt this was a missed opportunity on their behalf.

Lovely hotel with a cozy but tropical feeling

Got the last minute deal, so very reduced price. Superb hotel, good privacy and cleanliness. Very friendly staff. Also had a facial at their spa, which was lovely. Right by one of the main strips, but very quiet in the hotel.

Beautiful, friendly resort, great location!

Absolutely loved this place. Staff were amazing, definitely a stand out for our time here! Room was large and spacious. There was an outdoor shower which was a nice feature. Separate sun room with drying rack for clothes. Pool area was lovely. The rooms are private and each customer has their own private entrance. Breakfast was lovely, not as much choices as other places for the buffet but the standard of food was good. I had 2 spa treatments which were absolutely incredible, would highly recommend! We really enjoyed our stay here and would return.

The lighting in the room was poor and there weren't any sockets close to the bed.

1. The location is perfect, with a restaurant and parking available. Despite being in a busy area, the accommodations are located inside, making the resort quiet and beautiful. There's a restaurant inside the hotel, so you can enjoy a late dinner, and the food is good. 2. The best part is that there's a very affordable massage parlor right outside the hotel. No reservations required, just walk in. 3. It's within walking distance of everything. Monkey Forest is also within walking distance.

Their manner of serving us can make us arrogant, as if we were kings, acting conceited. The characteristically passive and quiet demeanor of Indonesians may make the bold manners of us Westerners seem coarse. Those who serve may lower their posture and attitude, but those who are served should lower their hearts.

Peaceful space inside central Ubud

Perfect location within ubud with all the restaurants and boutiques within walking distance. Despite that fact, inside the hotel was quite peaceful. The room was big and comfortable. Braekfast was nothing fantastic but it was ok, but food in the evening was much better.

Breakfast was a bit simple, and a few options on the menu were clearly better than others. While we loved the outdoor shower, the stones for the tiles made the space quite uneven. It wasn't too much of a bother for us but other people might find it quite uncomfortable.

Very good area to stay in! Very comfortable!

We were very surprised with the size of the room/house. As we were travelling in a group of 4 we staying in a villa with two bedrooms and it was just amazing. Pool is really comfortable to be in as well.

Breakfast wasn’t the best - a La carte or a couple options would be better that just a juice, bread, coffee/tea buffet. Looks like it’s going to be buffet and then it isn’t, a bit weird.

Beautiful little hidden gem in the middle of busy streets of hanuman road. Stunning pool area, gardens, it’s just so beautiful. Next door to all facilities, beautiful staff, clean and tidy rooms. Outdoor shower, loved it.

Food at restaurant is a bit pricy, no kids menu, and no vegetarian options except for the gorengs. We bought breakfast already with the booking which was ok for two nights but if I were to stay longer we would have preferred to go out for breakfast, there are lots of options around.

Oasis in central location

Great location, easy access to many great cafes and restaurants. Wonderful gardens that transport you away from the busy main road. The traditional Balinese massage by Puspa at the spa was a particularly calming experience, great massage. Overall the room was neat and tidy. The staff were incredibly kind and accomodating and made me feel very safe as a solo traveller :)

A real find, such a lovely stay lovely people and

The Rama Phala Resort and Spa is a peacefully beautiful hotel in bustling Ubud. A perfect location in the centre of town with the benefit of being able to retreat to the peace and calm of resort. The deluxe room that we stayed in had a real wow factor with the ‘open’ bathroom and shower. It had an additional outside drying room which was so useful! The amenities in the room were great (mozzie spray was fabulous!) and if we required anything it was attended to immediately (iron/ironing board). Did some laundry which was prompt and good value. The property boasts lush trees and greenery and is truly a peaceful haven. The staff, particularly, were lovely! Linda, Yulia and Gungde in the restaurant; and Agunge and all of the RECEPTION staff. Always welcoming, helpful and extremely personable. What a credit to the hotel! Thank you all!

Not so much a dislike but a note to be aware of on the cultural dinner evening. All food included but I do not eat meat and there was only chicken or pork available, no fish or tofu dish with the accompanying veggies, potatoes, salads etc.So maybe ask when booking the dinner - which I didn’t. The dancing at the dinner though was amazing!

It would be great if Booking.com could require hotels to disclose if there are significant building and construction works occurring at the hotel prior to bookings being confirmed. We received a hand delivered letter of apology to us - on our second day there. Fat lot of good that was.

The pool was extra clean. The room was immaculate. The staff were very nice. There was gardens everywhere and pretty flowers. The breakfast was okay. The young man who works at the pool bar was helpful and could keep a good conversation. Overall enjoyed my stay.

The yoga bar next door is very loud It did not bother me because I love that music. But other people who want quiet may consider going somewhere outside of the Heart😍 of Ubud.

A perfectly short vacation

A comforting nook in a bustling area of ubud, well placed amongst cafes with no shortage of good food. A very convenient location with less than 10 minutes walk to the monkey forest. The service and staff have been excellent from beginning to end and truly have made me feel at home. While they maybe lacking in certain expertise, they more than made up for it in attitude and friendliness. At one point our room door was broken/loose and without us prompting them, they came by to fix it during housekeeping. A place i would highly recommend for any first time bali visitors, they certainly made you feel at home and well taken care of :)

Not a huge fan of how the bathroom was constructed, there is a huge shower area that had pebbles you had to balance/stand on that made it fairly uncomfortable. Behind the property there are quite a number of establishments that like to hold either yoga sessions or parties which can break the illusion of a private paradise, the smoke from the bbq disturbed me quite a bit which resulted in my retreating indoors instead of enjoying the outdoors. I had a bit of stomach discomfort at some point i believe i did not fare well with the food served. Cooking class was fun but would have been better if they provided actual recipes for us to take home. Personally i think food hygiene can be improved along with general cleanliness.

Hidden gem

Nice small hotel conveniently located within a walking distance from the centre. Staff were attentive, always maintaining the gardens and welcoming. Food menu was small, but sufficient. Bathrooms looked a bit tired, but all clean. Would happily return.
