Jati Cottage

The staff at Jati Cottage was very helpful, we did not have any problems regarding the staff. The size of the room was good, compared to other accomodations with similar prices. The pool was clean. The location was great - cafeterias, laundry, supermarket all nearby. Drinking water and Wi-Fi was provided.

There were ants in the room and bathroom. It was super noisy one day due to the rain. Since our AC was turned off, the room had a damp smell. The curtains were moldy.

Jati Cottage completely stole my heart during my six-night stay this May. It is an absolute gem! Tucked away just outside the bustling center of Ubud, it feels like a peaceful oasis surrounded by the most gorgeous, lush tropical greenery. My room was very spacious, spotlessly clean, and perfectly equipped with everything I needed, including a desk, great A/C, and a handy kitchenette with a fridge. The staff were also incredibly friendly, making it all in all my absolute favorite place to stay. It is the perfect base to explore Ubud, as the lively center is just a short walk away with plenty of cute shops to explore along the way. Highly recommended to anyone looking for an authentic and peaceful place to stay!

There is absolutely nothing I didn't like! The only thing to keep in mind if you're new to Bali is that the tropical climate and local materials in Bali naturally cause buildings to show signs of age a bit faster. While everything was spotlessly clean, you'll notice some natural wear-and-tear. For travelers used to highly polished western standards, this is just good to know beforehand - it's very common for Bali and simply part of its authentic, tropical charm!

Very tired decor and not like the photos. The smell was so bad that I had to go out and buy room spray. Didn’t feel completely clean but the smell did not help.
