Great hotel with lovely caring staff

Great location being not too far from the centre about an 15 minute walk. Staff were very friendly and helpful throughout. There’s a great restaurant connected which serves amazing food. Our room was spacious and had great facilities including a tv with Netflix.

Room is a bit dark and there are ants in my bed but then staff came and changed the bedsheets for me immediately and spray around the room then the ants were gone

Great stay, great food and great staff

One of the best hotels we stayed in during our Bali travel. Great value for price, rooms were super nice and the staff works hard to provide us with a great stay. We also loved the breakfast options! Would totally stay again. It’s also conveniently located in short distance to many restaurants, grocery store with ab ATM (that doesn’t charge 😜) and the monkey forest.

Nothing really, maybe good to know is that the restaurant closes early so by the time we had arrived for checkin it was already closed. We were told that you would need to reserve food ahead with the hotel if you checkin after their restaurant closure.

Wonderful stay!

Everything was great, from staff to breakfast, which they serve in the cafe near by. Highly recommended to also try the dishes there outside of breakfast, was our favorite place in Ubud to eat, never disappointed. The room was very big, plus we had free yoga classes.

This place is a small boutique hotel and gorgeous. Modern clean rooms, nice private terrace, great location, walking distance to monkey forest, palace, temples, art market and great restaurants / cafes. Service was impeccable, very friendly staff, leaving cute notes after room clean and gift upon arrival. Good air con, comfy bed and pillows, smart tv, loved the decor overall. Couldn't fault this place, not to mention the great massage! Cafe next door 'Flock' make great coffees although nice touch to have coffee machine in my room. Peaceful and chilled, no riff raff.

Bathroom area a bit dark, needs a brighter light in front of mirror, hard to apply make up :)

Ok for a short stay, not worth the money though, in my opinion.

I arrived at 1:35pm and they said their standard checking time was 2pm and they were going to make me wait just for the sake of it, until I asked them to check if they had any rooms that were ready. There was quite a lot of noise coming in from the hotel when I checked in, cleaning, so it wasn’t exactly relaxing and quiet.

Great accomodations at an excellent price!

The ARTOTAL, Haniman, Ubed staff is excellent! They are friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The hotel is clean, quiet, and safe. The hotel is located in a very convenient part of 'downtown' Ubed. You can walk to the art market in about 30 minutes - it's a fun walk. It is very easy to walk to restaurents or coffee shops from this hotel. You can also use the 'GRAB' app (the Bali version of Uber) to get to anyhere from here. The restaurant attached to the hotel is affordable and the food is good. Overall, great stay at ARTOTEL.

Hidden Gem in Ubud

Modern, clean, central and quiet. Very nice swimming pool and the staff are very attentive and helpful. I liked the added touch of giving guests a welcome gift and free drink from the adjoining cafe. The cafe is very nice, with high quality food. The room is large and has good lighting and total block-out at night if you like complete darkness. The building is modern and new and spotlessly clean. Within walking distance to the Yoga Barn and to the centre of Ubud. The location is close to everything but in a quiet side street.

was blown away by the concept of this hotel. As the name suggests, colourful post-modern art is woven into every aspect; from the décor and design to the written details, everything carries an artistic flair.

The sink placement in the hotel room is odd as it’s outside the bathroom, but it grew on me as I could communicate with room mate while brushing my teeth.

Definitely not recommend this hotel as there are so many great and better choices in Ubud

1. There are so many ants in my room - on the desk, table and terribly the ants are even in my bed ( pillows and blanket), which made me extremely irritated and itchy during my stay. 2. The staff called me at 9 ish am in the morning asking me when will I expect to check out. This is the worst experience I ever had with hotels. It is so rude to call your customer early in the morning , to wake them up and ask for the check out time ( while the official check out time is 12 noon). Terrible Customer Service!!! 3. The design of the toilet sink is super bad. Literally, water will be split out whenever you use the tap to wash face etc. Overall, the room is not clean and so uncomfortable. With this price and quality, that is totally not worth it.

Excellent Boutique Hotel in Ubud

My partner and I had an amazing stay at this boutique hotel, and I can’t recommend it enough! We stayed in Studio 30, which was incredibly spacious and comfortable—exactly what we needed after long days of exploring. One of the highlights was the honeymoon spa package—so relaxing and the perfect way to unwind. We also loved that they provided a catalog of services, making it easy to see all the amenities available. Though we didn’t end up using it, the laundry service was a big factor in choosing this hotel, and it’s great to know it’s there for future stays. The location is excellent—just a short walk to Monkey Forest and Chontea Matcha House, and a quick ride to Merlin’s (we visited each of these places multiple times!). If we return to Ubud on our way back from Amed, we’ll definitely stay here again. Lastly, the customer service was outstanding—special thanks to Dewa and Sangayu for their quick responses on WhatsApp and making our stay so smooth.

Book in advance, especially during high season! We tried extending our stay day by day but ended up having to switch hotels for one night before returning—worth it, though!

Great location, accommodating staff and very comfy bed. I had breakfast included which was very tasty, my only negative is that the breakfast starts at 8am which is too late if you’re an early starter like myself. They do have a breakfast box which you can pick up from reception if you are out and about before 8am. The massage in the spa was also fantastic and they gave lemongrass tea at the start and ginger tea at the end.

Cool oasis in Ubud

Spacious rooms in a good location. Cool contemporary design, nice pool. Really good baristas at Flock cafe.

The room was quite dark and rooms facing the street a little noisy. Lack of storage in the room ( no drawers, very little hanging space) . Having the bathroom sink outside of the bathroom is a strange feature. Beds are too firm.

Perfect hotel in Ubud

Incredibly stylish, very good facilities. Beds are very comfy. Staff makes everything for the guests to make them feel like at home. We even booked the half-day tour through the hotel and did a very nice excursion outside of Ubud. The voucher for the restaurant nearby - Flock - is very useful, we didn’t have breakfast included but still end up coming to Flock for a coffee or a meal almost everyday out of convenience. The location of the hotel is 10/10 for exploring Ubud.

Pleasant, modern hotel in Ubud city

Lovely garden room, nice strong shower, good sized room and a central location if you want to be in Ubud city. It was great that they provided a discount voucher for the eatery next door which had lovely food and drinks. The staff were courteous.

Luckily I was on the quiet rooms away from the road, the rooms facing the road will probably be nosier. The hotel was a little noisy at times during the day especially if kids were playing in the pool. Should not be a problem if you are out and about of course!

A comfortable hotel in central Ubud

The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is very central with just a short walk to restaurants and shops. The breakfast was included and in the cafe next door to the hotel and it was very nice. The yoga classes twice a week were a great addition. As much bottled water as you require was appreciated. We also received a nice complimentary tote bag and some snacks. The shower was fabulous and the bed was large and comfortable.

The only issue we had was with our balcony door as it would not lock but the staff were able to fix it when we were out and about so this was only a minor concern.

Overall, we had a wonderful stay and will definitely come back the next time we’re in Ubud.

The apartment is beautifully designed, and I especially love the rattan details. The pool isn’t large, but it’s perfect for a quick dip. Breakfast was delicious—I especially loved the karaage don. The restaurant next door is also lovely, and the food is incredibly tasty. The staff are warm and attentive, always accommodating our requests with a friendly smile.

The hotel is located right by the street, so during my afternoon nap, I could hear some cars and motorcycles passing by. However, it’s much quieter at night, and I had no trouble sleeping. The windows and doors are also well soundproofed, which really helps reduce the noise.
