Location! Excellent choice, great value!

Location, cleanliness and staff. Lovely outlook and gardens, comfortable rooms. Attached restaurant, Semesta Warung was excellent for breakfast and by the pool lunches. Staff were exceptional. Easy walk to central Ubud shopping and dining. Whilst close to Monkey Forest, didn't see any on the premises. Great choice!

Everything. Pure luxury. We stayed 7 nights. Our room was no.2 so right at the back away from the very busy road. So quiet. Own terrace with a garden and trees Infront and a view of rice fields. Beautiful gardens. 2 nice swimming pools. Water available to fill glass bottles all the time. Tes, coffee + cream provided.. Room cleaned and clean towels everyday if you wanted to. Staff lovely. Nothing too much trouble. Offer trips with a driver. Diko was so nice and went out of his way to take us to the places we wanted to go and negotiated good prices for items to buy.The trainee girl at the back reception was so nice and helpful.

Nothing really apart from having to ask to use the lift to go up to the roof pool because it was for luggage only so locked and had to climb lots of stairs.

I had a budget room (only room available) and it could have used some lamps in addition to the ceiling lights and a double curtain for privacy, as many staff passed directly in front of my room throughout the the day

Our stay at Tegal Sari Accommodation in Ubud was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with the warmest smiles and genuine hospitality that made us feel instantly at home. The rooms were excellent—spacious, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully designed, offering the perfect blend of comfort and tranquility amid lush greenery. What truly set Tegal Sari apart was the incredible staff. Always polite, attentive, and happy to help, they went out of their way to ensure every detail of our stay was perfect. Their suggestions—whether for local experiences, food, or day trips—were spot on and helped us discover Ubud in the most authentic and relaxed way. A very special mention goes to Marley the fish, who completely won our toddler’s heart. Watching our little one light up with joy every day was priceless and made this stay even more memorable for our family. Tegal Sari is a place that stays with you long after you leave—peaceful, welcoming, and full of heart. We truly loved our time here and would absolutely love to visit again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable and heartfelt stay in Ubud

Unique nature experience in the center of Ubud

Perfect location, we loved the wooden cabin as it gave us a very special experience, we enjoyed hearing the sounds from the nearby rice fields and a bit of mangrove/forest at the backside. If you like a bit of nature experience then this your place to stay in the middle of Ubud. Would come back right away. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly.

Deluxe Family Villa was amazing!

We booked the Deluxe Family Villa with a private pool, and it was amazing! The villa was beautiful and spacious, with two levels. The upstairs had the bedrooms and a small toilet, which was spotless and surprisingly roomy. Downstairs had a comfortable lounge area and a bathroom with direct access to the pool. We visited Ubud during very hot days, but the inside of the villa stayed wonderfully cool. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful with any inquiries we had. All four of us said we would love to stay there again.

We honestly didn’t have anything to complain about. The only slightly scary moment was on the day we checked out — we spotted a snake on the roof of the building next door! It didn’t come close to us, but it did give us a little fright.

Just book it! It’s a perfect place to stay in Ubud!

I cannot rave about this hotel enough! The location was perfect - right next to the monkey forest, and walking distance to the main streets for shopping and restaurants. The room and grounds were so beautiful! Our room overlooked rice fields in the back of the property. The beds and pillows were comfy, plenty of space in the room, and the WiFi worked just fine on my phone. The highlight though was the staff! They absolutely made our stay! Everyone was so lovey and helpful. Anything we needed they took care of right away. And they also offered a very affordable on-site laundry service. I would highly recommend anyone to book with Tegal Sari!

Lovely clean room and friendly staff

24h front desk helped as we checked in past midnight. The room was clean with no mosquitoes, comfortable bed overlooking the patio outside. It was also conveniently near monkey forest, although we didn’t go there during our stay. The room was also private, perfect for couples.

Bedroom slippers were made of thin foam and affected the overall experience, could have been more comfortable.

Highly recommended!

This place is just fantastic. Best value ever. Sure, the price is very reasonable, but it is really the service and the people working there that set the place apart. We stayed in room 20, first floor and a great view over the organic garden and surrounding jungle. The hotel itself stretches out in a long row of buildings. There are two pools on the premises, one of them on the roof of the main building. Or you can use the large bathtub in the room. There are two receptions, and any number of extremely friendly and helpful staff. Our room was of the "wooden" type. Fairly big and very well appointed, and with an absolutely lovely balcony. Comfortable bed, with mosquito net. Very quiet at night - but with a slight risk of encountering a monkey on your front step if you are a very early riser. We usually had our breakfast brought to us in the room, pure bliss. A 10 minutes' walk to Lumeria Yoga via the back entrance, for another kind of bliss. The front entrance faces the Monkey Forest Road, so there is an easy walk to the centre if shopping is your thing.

Nothing, really. There might be a few signs of wear and tear, but nothing too bad. The restaurant they work with is not great, but even there you get a lot for your money.

It is very central so easy to access restaurants and night life but during the night there was no sound noise problem so it was perfect. We had a private pool which was excellent and the room was vey spacious. Amazing staff

Avoid having breakfast there. The hotel collaborates with the next door restaurant and in the first morning we ordered from their "à la carte" breakfast. We had to wait 1h30 to get delivered. Then our order wasn't complete, a coffee and a juice were missing and the food was not very tasty. They explained the delay by saying that the restaurant was full of outside guests which we thought was not an acceptable excuse.

Everything we hoped for. Stayed in the one bedroom villa which exceeded the pictures. We had a super experience, like a honeymoon suite. Staff so friendly and accommodating.

Tegal Sari is well located, the staff is great, there’s an on-site restaurant with room service, laundry, message , two swimming pools, a small gym, and a variety of rooms to choose from. Transportation is also available. The beds are comfortable, plenty of hot water, and good air conditioning and kettle and mini bar.

Not what we expected

Friendly staff, nice beds, bath was nice and big, lush green grounds, water refill. The staff assisted us well in shortening our stay. Cleaning was good. Also we were expecting more monkeys, but only saw 2 in 5 days.

Main pool was closed for the first days due to maintenance. Also the pools were less attractive than the pictures. That was disappointing. Furthermore we did not like hearing music in the room from the bar next door multiple nights. You can order breakfast in the room, but it was cold 3 out of 5 days and 1 day it was very late due to miscommunication. The couch is not really a couch, but just wooden boxes with pillows on top. It's not comfortable, since the pillows keep sliding off. Also didn't like the notes in the room mentioning fines if we would leave stains or leave smoke smell in the room (we're not smokers by the way) but it's just not classy. This is not a hostel right.

Excellent serenity in the center of Ubud

Beautiful, serene, centrally located yet separated from the hustle and bustle. My room was huge and bed was extra comfortable! Staff had excellent communication and on point service! Would 100% recommend and stay here again. Bonus: watching monkeys walk in the mornings from my balcony :)

Oasis in the heart of Ubud, you must study here for the best of Ubud.

From the moment we were picked up the staff did everything to make our stay perfect. The room we had was stunning, overlooking the organic garden they keep to use in the restaurant. We loved the grounds, the food, the pools, but the staff is unbelievable. We enjoyed it so much we extended our stay. Highly recommend!

My only suggestion is for during the welcome tour, the staff should point out adults only rooftop pool. We left the main pool to get away from children screaming and 15 minutes later those same people w children came up to the rooftop pool. They shouldn’t have even been there. The rules are written at the bottom of 4 flights of stairs and adults over 17 is mixed into the rules in the middle.

It’s really good value for money, central location and very clean and large rooms. The staff so incredible friendly.

The curtains were not blackouts, which I think they should update. Also, it can be noisy with the roosters in the morning but I guess that’s unavoidable.
