Location is amazing :)
Cute liftle place with amazing stuff :)
It’s a bit outdated.
Bathroom is really old, and a bit dirty.

Good bed, moz net, kettle, huge bathroom, lots of storage.
Run by kids, doesn’t seem to be anyone in charge.
This used to be a welcoming, vibrant, creative, social, fun place to stay.
It’s really missing Mark’s vision and experience. It’s even hard to find the entrance now?!? Small entrance door says prayer room, brick walls everywhere then a gate hidden by scooters.
Such a shame.

The staff, the pool, the location.
This is not a hotel for more than four people. We had organized an extra bed but it wasn't a bed. The language barrier was an issue trying to understand the situ before we arrived. I just agreed to an "extra charge" to end the confusion I had.
Should of just found another place to stay.

I arrived late, was greeted with a smile. We asked for different things throughout our stay and nothing was too hard. Very friendly, helpful staff. We loved the place. Always welcomed in the morning with a smile 😀

Amazing staff
Everything, from the entrance to the “room”, dragging out luggage, concrete (really) couch, uneven stairs, wiggly “desk”, the bathroom sink covered by a mirror, sticking out nail heads on the floor, extremely slow internet to start with. The place looked unmaintained for 100 years.

The room was small and there was not room to put a suitcase. However there was a balcony

Loved our stay!
The rooms are quite rustic but we enjoyed that.
It is quiet and comfortable and great location.
Bathroom is open so can be a few bugs but overall not really a problem.

We were delighted with this hotel. We arrived late at night due to several flight delays and they arranged somebody to wait for us even though we kept postponing our arrival time. The staff was very kind and helpful. Breakfast was a great surprise every morning: good variety and tasty. We enjoyed so much chats with the girls at reception and learning something new about Bali every day. Spacious room. Quiet at night. Nice views to the garden and pool.
Nothing really. All as expected. Perhaps the bathroom was not as nice as the rest of the accommodation, but no major deficiencies.

Loved the cosy little rooms.
Swimming pool was nice and clean with great water slide.
Staff were really kind and helpful. They loved playing with my little grandbaby and he loved the attention.
Kitchenette was good.
Room was a bit musty but this doesn’t seem uncommon in Bali.
Need to change kitchen sponges for new guests.

What I liked: staff, breakfast, location, large room, good mosquito net
There wasn't any live music during the 5 nights that I stayed there, which was one of the reasons why I booked the place. I should have asked why, but I didn't, because I enjoyed myself anyway. But I still found it strange.
Also, the room didn't look well maintained at all. On the third day, when I asked why my room hadn't been cleaned yet, I found out that you had to request housekeeping. I wasn't told about this, so that was pretty annoying.
As other reviews also mentioned there was some construction work going on on a site (which was part of the accommodation) next to my room that started early in the morning. Thank god for earplugs...
All in all it was not what I expected it to be. I made a reservation months before my stay and when I compared it to the prices they charged at the time I was there, I felt like I paid way too much, so that left a bit of a sour taste as well. Will not stay here again.

Loved the staff, they were so friendly. My flight arrived late and wasn’t able to arrive until 12 midnight & staff waited for me to open my room. Yummy breakfast included each day. Location is central but also quiet. Property is green and lush and well maintained and has nice Bali vibe. Great pool & my room nice and clean. Would recommend the Onion Co highly :)

We loved our stay. Our kids didn’t want to leave. Awesome location we walked to most places we wanted to go to. Super close to yoga barn, monkey temple, quieter end of town for traffic. Place is beautiful, kids loved the waterslide and pool. Staff made our stay fantastic. Highly recommend staying here!
Has a funky restaurant attached which was a bonus as I couldn’t tell that from the online stuff.
Photos online don’t do the place justice!

The staff members were really lovely. It's in a good location, close to everything.
The accommodation was really dirty, there spare bed was covered in sand or some other dirt, we didn't even use it. The net over the bed was so grey and dusty, that we were so careful not to touch it so the dust would not fall into the bed. There was a bikini plastic liner stack to a wall. We were unable to use the sink in the kitchenette, as it also appeared to be dirty. The knife was so blunt and rusty that you could not even cut fruits.
It was the first time we considered changing the accommodation half way through the stay., but ended up staying as it was only for a few nights.
I don't like leaving negative reviews, but this was one of the worst accommodations we stayed at.

The staff was absolutely fantastic. Events more or less everyday with livemusic, games and more. If you need to check your emails there is a very nice area in the back where you can sit quietly and where there is a small kitchen. I will defo come back next time should I go to Ubud.

What an amazing place! The room was clean & aircon worked well. The staff were so lovely and thoughtful. The facilities were great with a communal fridge, a quiet area for co-work with reasonable wifi (functional, but not super fast), a pool and beautiful decor. The bar/restaurant had music/activities each evening. Highly recommend!

Cool vibe and friendly people. Small kitchen.
You have to cross the kitchen/ co-working space to reach the bathroom.

We were contracted prior to our stay as the roof of the room we booked had collapsed in a storm, we were offered a lovely alternative. Everything about this hostel was perfect, better than we expected! The social areas (plural, one for the restaurant and one for the hostel) were cozy, spacious and clean. Loved the small kitchen and cooker. Lots of remote workers around too! Close to lots of shops and things to do Upon arrival we were asked if we could be blessed which was an increible experience. I would happily spend weeks at this place.

The staff was lovely, particularly Regina who was not only trying to link solo travellers but also organising nice social gatherings along with making sure everything went well.
The place is so pretty, the cost is great and the rooms are cute as hell. It became my go-to and I came back just to hang.
