They ruined a great hotel ...

Location on the beach.

Nowadays, guests are just numbers. The hotel does not give priority to bookings, for frequent guests, giving priority to new guests, through operators. Last 15 / 20 years, they have not replaced the beds and mattresses, they still have a TV system with only 3 channels in English, and the rooms are worn out by time. In recent stays, we've noticed a decline in quality across the board, especially in maintenance and services. For example, when we complained to the manager of the breakfast (a man that stay all time talking and disrupting his coleagues at Breakfast entrance), massage, and pool areas, he stopped even greeting us. It's a shame this once-incredible hotel has undergone a transformation for the worse.

Lovely stay in a quiet idyllic tropical location.

Beach, pool, big rooms, quiet, clean, friendly staff.

Bit cheeky to charge service on all food and beverage. Also run out of sun lounges on the very last day which seemed to catch them by surprise.

Nowadays, guests are just numbers. Over the past 15 years, I have stayed at this hotel every year, an average of 60 nights per year, always paying rack rates and supplements for upgrades to a sea view villa. Even so, the hotel does not give priority to bookings for frequent guests, giving priority to new guests, through operators, who pay much less. On the other hand, in these 15 years, they have not replaced the beds and mattresses, they still have a TV system with only 3 channels in English, and the rooms are worn out by time.

Nice hotel, would return.

We was upgraded from garden villa to Seaview villa. All villas were large with separate bedroom and sofa tv area with separate air con in each. Breakfast was good with the Thai option changing daily. Electric buggy from villa to reception if far (we was).

Very far from town ( not exactly the hotels fault) They had a shuttle but finished a little too early. Taxi to anywhere along Kao Lak was 350B each way which wasn't bad.

The most amazing location in between white beach and coconut beach. Pool beachside. Nice and quiet. Lots of amazing beach bars within walking distance. Breakfast was includeda d very good quality.

Charged extra for children’s beds on arrival despite them being on the booking, the accomo being suitable for 4 as a villa with 2 sofa beds in lounge so cost was just for the sheets. Negotiated a lower rate than the £40/night per child but did cost us £100 extra on the 6 nights. Check the small print!!! Drinks etc are expensive and 17% is added to the menu price.

Great stay in Khao Lak

The beach, view and outlook. The breakfast buffet was very well organized and staff was friendly.

The beds were awfully hard and uncomfortable and there were 2 power outages during our 5 day stay.

definitely not a 5 star hotel! more of a 3.5 stars!

-nice beach (even if there are a lot of fallen leaves and branches that nobody from the hotel seems to put them away) -quiet area, suitable for relaxation -close to white sand beach and coconut beach -really big and comfy bed -good breakfast

-terrible wifi -run down rooms with dirty walls and carpet, really dirty and yellow AC(and AC remote) -a lot of small ants in the room and two big cockroaches -the furniture is not inviting at all - everything in the room is really basic and not a single thai design touch! nothing to make you feel your in a beautiful exotic country! -the lawn isn’t in a good condition at all -the bath towels have holes and are really worn out

wonderful holiday

we liked the hotel the staff,location although we had a scooter to get us about ,such lovely walks along each end of the beach ,we did book the beach villas as that is the pictures we got when we looked but when we arrived there was none left the staff were very nice and 10 days later we got moved to the beach villa ,we had a great time .

There was nothing not to like ,breakfast, pools ,gym ,sea and beach wonderful time and the scooter allowed us to see different parts of khao lak .

A Great Stay with Bargain Price During the Pandemic Period

The villa near the beach was great and the arrangement was very comfortable. Loved the large windows on three sides and the large L-shaped sofa. The small kitchen offered a pleasant surprise for me to cook simple food. Very good hot water and powerful air conditioner to cool the rooms.

Because of the pandemic, the breakfast was not buffeting, so it's not fair to rate. It was basic.

Beautiful beach, big spacious rooms, friendly staff. Because of low occupancy, most facilities were closed and resort was understaffed. Breakfast was simple but ok. Room rate was very cheap, so lack of 4 star service understandable. Sad to see such a beautiful place empty.

Room has nice sofa area and small kitchenette. Only one other room booked, so extremely quiet. Nice beach for walking

Swimming pools were not in good condition (not maintained with chemicals) probably due to Covid situation, so could not swim. Likewise, gardens overgrown.

Schöner Strand Gutes Frühstück

Das Zimmer hat extrem modrig und schimmelig gerochen, das hat sich auch bewahrheitet. Anlage extrem renovierungsbedürftig. Anlage total lieblos und kalt gestaltet. Personal nur teilweise freundlich. Wohnzimmer mit bunkerartiger Terrasse und Blick auf eine Betonabdeckung und den Hauptweg. Die Brüstung der Veranda war aus der Wand gebrochen und der Betonsockel in Auflösung befindlich. bodentiefe Fenster des Schlafzimmers lag direkt an der Tür des Haupteingangs, so dass jeder Passant Luftlinie 40cm an meinem Bett vorbei kam. Badezimmer war extrem schlicht, dunkel und mit Rost und sonstigen "Belägen" gezeichnet Niemals 5 Sterne, bin nach einer Nacht in ein anderes hotel umgezogen. Minimarkt und Restaurant völlig überteuert. Komisches Klientel im hotel unter anderem wurde vom Balkon über mir heruntergepinkelt. Es gleicht eher einem hostel aber niemals 5 Sterne, ich war in 3 und 4 sterne hotels in thailand die um welten besser waren!!! Es gibt keine Strandbar, nur eine rooftop Bar die erst um 18 Uhr öffnet. Die Image Bilder entsprechen nicht der Wahrheit. Rostige liegestühle und Stühle. Wifi funktionierte im Zimmer gar nicht und in der Anlage nur sporadisch Versiffte Dusche.. Dieses Zimmer darf in diesem Zustand keinem Hotelgast zugemutet werden

Sehr dürftige Reinigung, extrem schlampiger Zimmerservice, pro Tag max. 1 Teebeutel und 1 Klopapier, keine Sauberkeit, unterirdische Hygiene, Stromausfälle, Strand absolut nicht gepflegt, Quallen im Sand, Kokosnüsse die runterfallen, Mäuse/Ratten im Zimmer, sehr weite Wege im Dauerregen nicht angenehm, rutschige Gänge, viel Vogelkot überall, Handtuch Konzept, Extrem Überteuerter Supermarkt mit sehr unfreundlichem Personal. Es war besonders unangenehm, als ich schwer krank wurde- bis auf 1 freundliche Person an der Rezeption- keine Unterstützung vom Hotel

L'endroit et la plage sont paradisiaques. Les suites sont très spacieuses. Le petit déjeuner est fantastique. Et le personnel est au petit soin..

Als je iets verder kijkt dan je neus lang is wordt het pas echt leuk!

Locaties is prachtig gelegen aan een zee met golven en een prachtig strand. Ruim opgezet complex, ruime kamers, Thaise service. Het geheel voelt wel als 30-40 jaar oud. Wel mooi zwembad en prachtige receptie-entree. TOP: Lopend over het strand kom je, links en rechts, na 300m bij echt leuke authentieke strandjes, barretjes. Als je dit ontdekt is de saaiheid van het park niet meer erg. De prijzen zijn hier ook veel beter dan op het park.

Er was niks toe doen op op het park. De bar en restaurant waren leeg. Meer personeel dan gasten in het laagseizoen (juni). Khaolak als plaats is ook niet de moeite waarde. Wat gedateerd en saai.

Definitiv kein 5 Sterne Hotel! Real wären 3-4 Sterne. - Liegen am Strand alt,viele kaputt und vor allem unbequem. Dadurch kann man den tollen Strand nicht richtig genießen - Insgesamt alles renovierungsbedürftig - Übermäßig viele Mücken und kleine Fliegen, die einen erholsamen Aufenthalt auf der Terrasse der Villa und beim Frühstück unmöglich machen. Der Grund dafür ist wahrscheinlich ein Süßwassersee auf dem Gelände des Hotels - Pool alt und nicht mehr zeitgemäß
