Perfect place for relaxation and family time But

We spent 7 nights there recently with our family (kids 6 and 4) and we loved it! There resort is stunning (like the pics) and the pools kept our girls entertained for large parts of the day but there was also lots of kids activities that we could book them in for as well. The restaurants were amazing , quality food for a very reasonable price, beach bar with live music in the evenings as the sun is setting. The fire shows were awesome on the beach. A huge breakfast buffet (who doesn't love breakfast buffets!) and much more - we will definitely be back! All of the staff were incredibly accommodating and the facilities were kept very clean. The nice team members who kept our room clean made different characters shaped with towels for the first 3-4 nights which our girls loved :)

Very comfortable, clean and modern accommodation. And the food….top shelf menus…we rotated between the Beach Bar (international food), Japanese and Thai. Hard to choose a favourite. All extremely good and well priced. Breakfast is hard to beat…all preferences are covered!

We were originally assigned a suite overlooking the kids pool/slide. Not ideal for a party of 3 x adults. We were promptly moved to a quieter location. Additionally, for 3 days of our 6 days we experienced a Bollywood style Indian wedding. Very interesting to watch the events organised for ~ 250 guests. While we were not impact (I enjoyed the opportunity to watch) it was noisy and the experience would not be for everyone!

Pros: Excellent Facilities: Wide variety of F&B options, including an impressive breakfast, several restaurants offering different cuisines, and a lovely beach club. Great amenities for kids as well - kids club, engaging activities, and swimming pools with wave features. Sports facilities are also top-notch, however, I would suggest to add heavier dumbells and a low row machine. Outstanding Rooms: I stayed in a two-bedroom suite - simply wow. Everything from the amenities to the overall setup exceeded expectations. Beautiful Grounds: The gardens, pools, and landscaping are truly exceptional. Big kudos to the gardening team - the grounds are immaculate. Friendly Staff: Everyone I interacted with was cheerful, polite, and genuinely hospitable. Helpful Service: My request for a late check-out was granted smoothly and without any hassle, special thanks to GRO - Mehdi (not sure if I remember the name correctly) and Kh. Taki who bid farewell. N. Chompoo is a good girl, just need a bit more experience and generally - jai yen yen.

Cons: Bell Service: The bellman delivering luggage entered the room without knocking or asking for permission and did not remove his shoes. Additionally, the bellman driving the club car did not ensure all passengers were safely seated before departing. Food & Beverage: Flies were present during breakfast service, despite it being held indoors. This can likely be resolved quickly with improved cleanliness, proactive pest control, and the installation of fly traps (250 THB on Lazada). Guest Relations: No acknowledgment of a birthday occasion (mentioned in advance), and no amenities were provided. There was also no GRO present during breakfast to engage with guests. Operations: A rigid adherence to scripts and SOPs that do not appear to be adapted to the property or situational needs. This results in inconsistency and a lack of personalized service.

An amazing visit and experience, would strongly recommend to friends and family!

Very big room, clean and well maintained. Our room had great coffee machine and all accessories needed (like shaving kit and even mouth wash) The gardening is amazing, pools around and kids activities are superb. Including an amazing infinity pool The staff was super helpful and friendly, everything we needed we got in minutes.

The compound is really big and it takes time to walk from the room toward the beach or the breakfast area. There aren’t many things to do around the hotel (like a market or a small village) and we needed a taxi nearly every day.

Paradise, perfect hotel.

Perfect hotel, beautiful common grounds, everything clean, beautiful swimming pools with slide, wave pool, great kids club, many restaurants with great food. Amazing professional friendly staff, always smiling, especially Aung and Ploy at the beach bar and Riley at the Olive restaurant, they were amazing. Also the concierge helped us to book tours, very professional. We stayed 7 nights and we were sad to leave. We will definitely come back.

Our family enjoyed the stay

It’s our 2nd stay in JW Marriot Khao Lak and we were here for 7 nights this time. We have booked a 2 bedroom suite and it is really nice. The room is new decorated just in 2022, so everything is new and space is large. We chose the room with pool access, we like the pool here and enjoyed our stay.

The only thing if you want to complain is the location, it is not close to local shops, you have to spend 300 THB & 15 mins each ride for going restaurants or massage.

Great experience

The suite was spacious and comfortable. The pool with the slide was perfect for the kids, as was the game room. Staff were great especially with activities. We also enjoyed the more secluded pools where there was less noise.

Billing was a little complicated. Food portions were on the small side. Breakfast was packed up exactly at 11, even items that were just brought out.

Only stayed two nights, wish it was longer!

We stayed in one of the swim up suites which was great! The beach is lovely, there are loads of restaurant options, the staff are very friendly and the breakfast buffet is amazing. The kids absolutely loved the aqua park!

This is what heaven for families looks like

Everything was amazing - amazing room, pools, great kids club with a lot of activities, great restaurants.

A lot of the areas are tiled with dark materials that get boiling hot making it hard for kids to wall around barefoot around the pool areas. Restaurant prices could be more Thailand-adjusted
