    Great time at the Devasom
We had a fantastic stay at Devasom Khao Lak and would happily come back. The whole place feels calm and relaxed, with a beautiful beach, lovely pool areas and very comfortable, spotless rooms. What really made the difference for us was the staff. Everyone we met was friendly, attentive and genuinely kind, and communicating with the hotel was always easy and efficient. A special thanks to Nicky, Ivy and Soh – they consistently went the extra mile for us and made us feel truly welcome.

    Absolutely incredible!
From the moment you walk in, you are instantly relaxed. The combination of the music, scent, and beautiful decor creates an incredible ambience that surpasses many other hotels I've visited. The staff were outstanding, and the food was truly memorable! A particular highlight was the 8-course dinner at Takola. This was, hands down, some of the best food we have ever had!
My only minor note, which isn't truly a negative, is that I would have loved to see a bigger range of traditional dishes at breakfast. I wanted to try more, but it seemed to operate on a two-day rotation.

    Very good hotel but expensive
The hotel is excellent, beautiful pool and amazing beach with beautiful sunsets. The breakfast is great and we also enjoyed eating in the restaurant one evening. We had a few complaints about things that were not right during our vacation and the manager of the team helped us immediately.
The room we took smelled of rotten wood, the water flow in the shower changed frequently. The view was of the stream and not the sea as it was written. In addition, there was a wedding at the hotel and there were several unpleasant incidents that moved us from the pool for the wedding.

    Welcoming, accommodating, luxurious, simply incredible.
The property is small (compared to other resorts we have stayed at) and thus creates a calm, laid back atmosphere. The kids club was fantastic, our two boys (3 and 1) had a fantastic time there. Our sky villa was incredible, with an amazing view of the ocean. I loved how the property is located right on the beach so we could take a walk along the sand every day.
The downside of being small is that there are only two restaurants to choose from. So if you like a wide variety this may not be the place for you.

    Fantastic
The entire complex, including the beach, is incredibly beautiful. The spa and wellness area is amazing, and the spa staff is incredibly friendly and competent. Fantastic!

    heavily overpriced
    Architecture and gardens
What is called a 'seaside junior suite' is actually a small bedroom, an oversized L shaped bathroom with an ugly corridor and two shower heads and a terrace next to the creek/laguna with smelly, brackish water. If your room is on the first floor you have no privacy - people walk by and look directly into the jacuzzi. You can can hardly see the sea from the terrace, although it is defined as ‘seaside’. Our room had a strong smell that could not be reduced by a small air cleaner perched into a corner between bed and table; we tried to get rid of the smell by opening the terrace door for hours, but did not succeed; the smell came even out of my luggage back home. There is a table in one corner but too small for working a laptop and some documents. The ‘suite’ has a cheap air conditioner, mounted onto the wall, like you find in a lot of low-class hotels. The sofa next to the bed had some ugly stains. The ‘suite’ has a cheap concrete floor with stains caused by moving chairs. If you don’t want to use the hotel WIFI for safety reasons, the connection to the public network is unstable and often reduced to 3G. The breakfast buffet is average, but definitely not exciting. There are no dress codes for proper attire in the restaurant. People come into the breakfast room in - what looks like - their underpants and undershirts, and put their feet onto the chairs; the staff does not comment. The hotel lies next to a small laguna with brackish water; this water flows out into the sea at low tide and streams down along the beach; if you want to swim in the sea you have to walk a distance to avoid the smelly, dirty water.
