Location was good and peaceful

You can hear everything through walls including neighbour snoring all Night. No coffee or tea supplies for first eve unless I paid 1.50 sf per tea bag but sugar was free. No mention of milk. The picture on booking.com is misleading it shows a chalet which is not one of the rooms. This chalet can be booked at a higher cost as we considered moving when we got into the room on arrival. The rooms are in just a wooden block. For the same money we found other hotels which looked far nicer. As we wanted a base to get in and out of Interlaken we decided to stay but would not recommend

room is very clean, only supply toilet paper and body wash/shampoo and hand wash. water to drink

the breakfast is fine.

i asked the staff if they have any sweet cake, she asked the chef and came back to the desk, waited and waited, i didn't say a word, then i have to ask her after a long wait and told me that there is none. she didn't tell me right away that there is none.

Good location, but uncomfortable mattress

Excellent location - 10min by bus to West Interlaken station and 16min by foot to the lake. TV with cable channels to watch on a rainy day. Patio to enjoy meals outside with mountain view (however same space shared with other rooms, so not much privacy).

Very uncomfortable bed mattresses and in general old furniture.

A convenient hotel just outside Interlaken

This is a convenient hotel with friendly staff, a great restaurant, at a quiet location outside Interlaken. We stayed for one night, and enjoyed the dinner and our room. The quality/price ratio is great. Parking is in front of the hotel. There is a great looking wellness centre that we did not use.

Our room, in a chalet behind the main building, was comfortable but a bit dated.

The location is great. Staff were nice.

Iron machine requires additional charge. No A/C No safe Basic rooms are actually a cabin where your room door opens immediately to car parking spots and the street. It is not a good or bad thing, you may like it and you may not.

You don't get what you pay for.

The location is perfect for the lake. Free parking.

At first the basic cabins feel very quirky. But..... The room was so hot, no fans. We turned the fridge off as the heat was coming from this. The walls are paper thin, so we were kept up all night from the snoring man next door. You have to pay if you want tea or coffee in room In the morning even though there is a kettle. Then we opened our suitcases in the morning and they were full of earwigs (insects). Then we found some in our bed. Thank god it was only for one night. I would say you get what you pay for, but spending 10 days in Switzerland in various locations this was the most expensive and by far the worst.

Lovely cabins for a nature focused holiday

The cabins of Hotel Salzano are perfect for a getaway, where your main goal is to discover the mountains around the Interlaken area. You'll find everything you need in the cabin, beds are comfy and the place is clean. Just keep in mind - as the description says: Salzano *Basic* rooms. You will feel the difference compared to the hotel, where you do the check-in. Oh and the hotel has a great restaurant and lovely staff. Yes, it's on the pricey side, but you get amazing food and drinks (wine or cocktails too), I can only recommend it even after visiting some other highly rated ones around.

Great views. Needs to update old appliances

We liked the view from outside our room and after a long day of hiking we would sit on the balcony looking at the mountains.

There was a kettle in the room but no tea bags or coffee maker. Some room amenities we've come to expect. The cabin charm is really nice and the styling is from the 80's which is fine but the fan in the room didn't need to be from the 80's too (it was really noisy), an airconditioner would be a welcome addition.

Nice breakfast, helpful staff and nice location. Great to watch the para gliders landing near the hotel. Scenery was beautiful.

It was hot when we visited so keeping the room cool at night was a challenge. Very noisy neighbors early one morning ☹️

Traditional Swiss Charm

The basic room we reserved was a delightful chalet with bright bedding prints and a fun cliché reference to being in a Swiss chalet. The ambiance we saw in the booking site was exactly the fun and happy space we expected. Even though this was the basic room the body wash and soap was from their adjoined spa. Such a treat. Bathroom facilities are simple but clean. We enjoyed a great dinner at the main hotel area and were delighted but the combination of good food, super service and amicable ambiance that this hotel is know for. We were even treated to the chef/owner’s singing talents. One of the happiest evenings of our holiday was at this location. The hotel offered a local discount and local travel pass, an unexpected bonus. The hotel is well located, close to the lake and a few minutes drive from Interlaken center. Views from the surrounding Alps can be enjoyed from the little terrace in front of the chalet. The main hotel also has a great sunset deck. If you enjoy paragliding, the landing area is just next to the hotel. Easy parking. All round value for money.

It was a hot evening and we did not find the fan in the cupboard till the next morning. Pity. The basin is really small so one is splashing around in the bathroom.

A very nice place with nice people

The location was very nice and peaceful. The room was clean; the breakfast was ok, by the way, I liked the coffee, it was excellent! The staff was very kind and friendly.

We stayed two nights, the first one we couldn't sleep because of the room neighbors who did really a lot of noise doing their business...it was embarrassing!! The second night (likely we had new neighbors) went better but in general, the beds were creaking at any minimal movement and the pillows were too soft even if folded.
