Value for Money in Interlaken

The facility is on the main road. They also give discounts for the fondue dinner and paragliding. The staff are friendly and welcoming.

The bed and rooms are a bit small but for that price in Switzerland its very fair.

Adventure in Interlaken

I like the location, the cleanliness and the comfort. They have clear instructions on how to self check in. The staff are nice and cooperative. There is a luggage storage area and a shower accesable if you come early, want to clean up, leave your staff and explore the breathtaking town. There is a bathroom inside the rooms. You can tell that they are doing their best to offer the best they can.

The bedroom and the dining room are not spacious enough. Some things are not working; like the door sensor requires a jump up to sense movement. The bathroom in the bedroom is too close to the beds so you don't feel comfortable to do your business in there.

Fondue villa

Very cute place, located close to the city centar with bus station close by. My room was spacious, cozy and clean and I really enjoyed my stay. P.s. try to book some of the activities that hostel provides in advance cos they get booked very fast. Sledding is sooooo fun btw. :)

We had an apartment at the hostel. The apartment was fantastic! Amazing views, Awesome sized bathroom inc shower & toilet Little kitchen Dining room Bed area. Breakfast included. Good location, bus stop near by, the train station an easy walk away. Would 100% come stay back at this hostel!!!

We are family of five they gave us bunk bed which were making squeaky sound. Couldn’t sleep because of squeaky sound. Bathroom is way too small and smells so bad.

Overall we are satisfied with our stay and what we have paid for to be honest.

The staff are nice and helpful, location its accessibility to transport and the view outside is stunning and breakfast is good. We stayed for a night only. The luggage storage is a bonus if you arrive earlier than check in time and even after check out they allow you to leave your things so you can travel light to any destination in Switzerland. Thank you. ☺️

Our room is very clean apart from a bit of smell in the bathroom. We came at peak of summer it was very hot. Fan has been provided which is good but we open the window to get some fresh air just for a short period only as flies starts coming in the room.

Cute and authentic place at Interlaken

The place is really nice and cute, very close to the train station, bus stop and the center. The room was very comfortable, and the staff was really nice and helpful. It feels homey and cosy. They had a place to store our luggage after check out and it was very helpful. Please, do yourself a favor and try the fondue!

The breakfast is not that great, but good enough for you to start your day :)

Good location hostel with amazing views

Location was good for the price with just a 20 minute walk to main centre. Views from room were amazing. Quiet location away from centre. Secure underground parking Use of guest fridges in breakfast room was a real lifesaver with high temperatures meaning we needed cool drinks. Price was really good compared to other places in Interlaken

No aircon in room.was a real negative as temperatures rose to 37 degrees when we were there...freaky weather I know but the fan just didn't help and we had some sleepless nights with overnight temps of 22 degrees + That's the only reason for the lower rating for comfort as the room and bed itself were good. Breakfast was very basic.

Must stay in Interlaken & feels home

Our stay in Interlaken was everything we had hoped for and more! From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to assist us with our doubts and planning our daily activities—even offering support on a rainy day, which was really helpful. One of the highlights was the on-site fondue restaurant, named the “Fondue Villa.” It’s a cozy, charming spot that comes alive at night and offers a truly authentic Swiss dining experience. No need to go anywhere else—this was fondue heaven! The views from our room were absolutely breathtaking, adding to the magical atmosphere of our trip. To top it all off, the property also offers guests great discounts for many local attractions and activities. Everything about our stay was a perfect 10/10. We can’t wait to come back and experience it all over again!

I liked: 1. The staff hospitality 2. A clean room, clean bed sheet, clean towel 3. Good Breakfast 4. I really needed hot water for my water tea and I was able to get it for free anytime — thank you! 5. The view of the Jungfraujoch mountain from the room window was amazing. The hotel’s surroundings were clean, quiet, and the natural scenery with the high mountains was truly breathtaking.

1. The bathroom door is made of glass, it’s noisy, and it doesn’t lock. 2. On the first day, there were 3 men and 2 women in the room I was staying in. It felt uncomfortable because men and women were mixed in the same room. One Indian man was walking around shirtless — after showering, he came out wearing only a towel around his waist, with a very hairy upper body, which made the women feel uncomfortable. Another man snored very loudly, which made it hard for the women to sleep. From the second day, the hotel manager quickly resolved the issue and arranged for male and female guests to be placed in separate rooms. During the last two nights, I stayed only with women, and it was much more comfortable. Thank you for your quick great help, dear hostel manager 3. The strong smell of cheese in the entrance hall

Fun place to stay in Interlaken

Not stayed in a hostel since my backpacking days 25 years ago, but this place was great. Clean and comfortable and although not cheap, it was way better value than a hotel. Good to have kitchen facilities to make meals. Fun vibe.

Great budget choice for this area.

A large family room with a lovely wet room. We stayed 1 night as a stop off but could have stayed longer. Interlaken has lots to offer. Free local transport if you show your hostel card. It wasn't what I expected from a hostel. It wasn't basic at all, and breakfast was delicious. If you want to enjoy The Fondu Villa, book ahead as we couldn't get in.

The other guests were noisy/ loud music and our room was right by reception and backed on to the kitchen which was noisy until around 11. Not great with kids, but it is a hostel, not a hotel, so I guess that's the downside. It was only 1 night though.

Good value & experience

Good value for the price, clean rooms, basic necessities (towel, soap, hairdryer) provided, quick&easy self check in. You receive a local transport pass during your stay. Decent breakfast. Amazing building in a quiet&beautiful neighbourhood, farther but not too far from the station.

Room was not soundproof and coffee for breakfast is not free.

Very clean room, beautiful building and environment, good view of the room. The table in the room was also a bonus. We had a relaxing one night there. We didn’t have the chance to taste the popular fondue, hopefully next time.

Maybe the bunk bed, yet again that’s totally something we opted for: it was still comfortable, good value for the money.

Lovely place, friendly staff, the beds are comfortable, clean and separate, and the cheese fondue is great. It's also a good location, about 5 minutes' walk from the train station (which is also where the buses come).

The fondue is quite pricey. It's good though, and a nice experience. There's not much to say here - we had a good experience there to be honest.

I think its a nice place to stay. Wish we had more time!

Location easy to find and bus stop nearby. Love the fondue dinner in the garden. Nice atmosphere. Room n bathroom was clean and comfortable.

Lifts only work fr 730am to 7pm. Had to beg them to switch it on for is cos we both had bad backs and we arrived late at 7.30pm. When we arrived, we asked about the Fondue dinner and the male server told us NO MORE FOOD for us. However after putting luggage in the room and we came down to try again, the sweet female server proceeded to serve us and we enjoyed the Fondue dinner very much! She saved this review. And she got a good tip from us! Thank you dear for being willing to serve us although it was late.

A lovely relaxing stay.

Super comfortable and a lovely room with a settee as well as the double bed so you could really spread out your stuff. Lovely breakfast with a range of cereals, fruit, breads and croissants plus cheeses and meats. All very relaxed, and the views are exceptional.

Overall, its a beautiful property. Great location - you can see mountains and beautiful sunrise outside in the garden. Totally worth it.
