Overall just an average place.

Breakfast is provided, has the essentials you need. Staff were friendly.

No air conditioning so needed to open the window which resulted in noise from the street when cars go by. There is also a rule to not bring food into rooms to eat so you’re essentially forced to eat out.

We had a wonderful time at hotel alphorn and would absolutely recommend.

It was great!

The hotel is very near to the station and mini market. It was very clean and comfortable. The owner Christine welcomed us and she is an amazing woman! Absolutely loved and enjoyed the breakfast. Sasa was very kind and helpful and she was responsible for the amazing breakfast. I highly recommend staying here.

The staff is very friendly, the hotel is super close to the bus and Interlaken West train station, breakfast has a pretty good selection and very good quality.

Coming with a lot of luggage, we felt our room was a bit tight but it wouldn’t discourage us to come back again.

Breakfast was great! Loved the coffee! The breakfast was much better than you come across in the US - and I've stayed in lots of good hotels in the US while traveling.

We're both Americans, though my wife is of an Asian ethnicity, and I'm white. When checking-in, we were shown a sign of a cup of needles in Chinse, or other Asian languages, telling guests not to cook! They could not tell by our last names that we were Asians, though when they saw my wife, they popped the sign. It did not make my wife feel good, right? We're Americans, not somebody fresh off the boat, coming with our own cups of needles...

Hotel run by lovely ladies who take care of the guest very well. Breakfast was very good. Its a Peaceful place.

Adding a mirror to the room would be helpful for getting dressed and seeing yourself.

Cozy and Comfortable

Very homey and comfortable. It's managed by the owner herself who is very accommodating and attentive to all our needs and treated us like a family. Everyone is friendly, even the staff. The room assigned to us is equipped with all the necessary things we need. Hotel may be tucked away from the busy streets but still not too far from the center.

Room is enough for 2 people however, the size of the bathroom is a little tight even for petites. Nevertheless, it worked out for us.

Excellent place to stay in Interlaken!

The location was close to the Interlaken West train station and to the town. Breakfast was exceptionally good. The staff were helpful and friendly. I enjoyed my visit and recommend staying there.

Very satisfying stay!

The staff were extra friendly and the hotel was impeccably clean. Great location in quiet surroundings. While small, the room was fine for a single person. I loved that the window opened to provide fresh mountain air.

The only downside were the pillows which made sleeping difficult for me. I believe they were feather (as was the duvet) and provided no support at all. Nevertheless I wouldn’t hesitate to stay at Hotel Alphorn again. I would just bring my own pillow!

Only complaint - the toilet is positioned in such a tight spot it’s practically impossible to sit on it and do ya business - if your big you will have a problem !

wonderful base for Interlacken adventure

quiet end of town. Our room had a balcony perfect for morning coffee. The staff were exceptional and attentive. Rooms were very clean and refreshed wore out during the day. Would stay here again for sure.

we had no issues at all during our stay. It’s on the west end by the train station and away from all the tourist shops and commotion in city center.

Wonderful hotel in Interlaken

Hotel Alphorn is a wonderful hotel close to Interlaken West station. Hotel is clean, everyone is incredibly friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and bright. Breakfast is delicious. It is nice to be a block off the main street. Christine (the owner) is incredibly helpful and friendly. She provided excellent restaurant and hiking suggestions. One of my family left valuables in their room and Christine messaged me and arranged to mail to me.

Fabulous Host and Lovely Hotel

Second stay at this lovely hotel in a quiet part of Interlaken. Christine is a fantastic host with lots of local knowledge and very helpful with planning your day. The staff are all lovely. The rooms are to a high standard and cleaned daily. Breakfast is continental and has a good choice. Hotel is only a 5 minute walk to the bus and train station. All together this hotel provided us with all we needed with great amenities near by.

Great.

I really liked the close but quiet location of the hotel. The lady, I think, Christine? was great. She recommended the trip around the mountains, where to stop, where we walk, we we take the train, etc. We had a fantastic day. It was long and fun. We stopped at a number of small towns in the mountains and had lunch in one and drinks in another. We saw the internal waterfalls and walked and walked. We thank her.

I know its old, but it was very hot and I wish we had sir conditioning.

Very welcoming small hotel b&b in excellent quiet location. Perfect for a short stay .

For a solo traveller this is a simple, homely b&b hotel in an excellent, quiet location just 6-7mins walk from Interlaken West station. The staff were wonderfully welcoming and helpful and rooms cleaned daily. Breakfast included fresh fruit, juices, cereal, yoghurts, croissants and fresh rolls plus usual continental breakfast staples. No reception after 7pm but the hotel has a very neat system for getting in and out after hours. They provided maps etc and the Interlaken card that offers free travel on local transport and discounts at some attractions. Would definitely stay here again.

Nothing really. A hot option at breakfast might be nice, but not vital for me. Thinnish duvet was fine for a summer visit but you might want something more substantial in winter!

Great location and stay

The staff were friendly and helpful. The Swiss continental breakfast was perfect, especially for those setting off on day trips and hikes.

At no fault of the staff or hotel itself, but the walls are thin, so if you’re unlucky enough to have a neighbour who decides to try out his vocal practice at 9pm or chats late into the evening, then it will be an inconvenience/noisy.

The best stay in Interlaken!

The breakfast was amazing, but the real star of the show was the staff. They were so friendly and welcoming! They were kind and even let us check in early. All of them made our stay so wonderful! The room was spacious and so clean.

Christine and her staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was in a quiet area, but still very close to everything. The room was very clean and comfortable. We had a lovely view of the mountains. The continental breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices.

Nothing. Corner hotel in a quiet neighborhood

Service. While the staff tried to be helpful they are really rude without showing off as they are rude. When they emailed that no hot food cooking is allowed, I wanted to cancel. No refunds offered so we had left with no choice. Booking.com should put a note on this. They told us that we can’t even buy order hot food to the hotel room - which is absolutely crazy . People come to interlaken and they go to attractions all day and they come tired and the order food, if cleaning is an issue they should figure something. The breakfast is very uninviting as well. I wanted to grab a cup of coffee.. but the lady suggested me to make it in the room with a little instant coffee packet in the room. But this time I stood my ground and insisted for my cup of coffee. This was very uncomfortable and I did not go to the breakfast. I do not recommend this hotel for anyone who wants to relax. We pay thousands of dollars to get there to relax, but not to my our own coffee and bed, etc. Give some space to the guests

Excellent Hotel. Book fast...sold out fast.

Lady owners are sweet and served with a smile. We arrived at 1PM, and the room was ready, the owners graciously allowed us to check in early. Location is 6 mins walk from Interlaken West. Decent breakfast. Hotel has a small lift. Highly recommend.

Clean, Comfortable, Covenient

Very clean basic accommodations The staff are outstanding. Very friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast. 3 minutes walk from Interlaken West station and 5 minutes walk to the main tourist area. Highly recommend.

The shower had great water pressure but the toilet was challenging due to space constraints. Very tight fit between the shower and the wall. Not for medium or wide bodies.
