Great

The surroundings of the hotel are very beautiful, with a forest park and farms nearby. There’s also a shared kitchen inside the hotel where you can cook your own meals. The only downside is that the hotel is located halfway up a hill, so you need to walk uphill for a bit. The reception staff were very warm and friendly, and we were very satisfied with our stay.

Beautiful hotel in an excellent location with lots of facilities.

What a gem of a hotel within walking distance of Interlaken west or Wilderswil. Beautiful location - having your breakfast with a backdrop of Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau is a must. Thought toilets and showers are shared they are clean and plenty around so never one not available. Lots of parking available. Rooms are spacious and quaint with a lovely wooden balcony for an evening sit out. Has a generous and stocked common kitchen! You can spot it from the railway lines!

Requires an uphill walk which can stretch you if you have been sight seeing through the day and have to walk back from the station. No lifts. Quite pricey for shared toilet and shower facilities.

Beautiful countryside location!

Really beautiful out of town location. Only 10 min countryside walk from bus stop. Staff were so kind and helpful. Very clean. Would go again. Sheep outside so idyllic! Fantastic view of alps from our room and dining area.

Shared toilets weren't too bad and shower was right next to our room. All exceptionally clean.

The gote was good and we had a good time. Only walk of 15min to hotel was challenging. Overall good value for money.

Great stay in Interlaken with great views!

The receptionist was so helpful giving us information about our stay and the town. There were heaps of flyers for things to do in Interlaken, and we felt very looked after. There’s also beautiful views of the mountains at breakfast, and the guest kitchen was a great option if you didn’t want to spend heaps buying dinner.

The budget hotel wasn’t very sound-proofed and you could hear people walking along the corridor, but it wasn’t a problem for us at night as other guests were quiet.

Overall really good with great location, easily accessible via car only. Not by bus

Breakfast was great a great buffet, the only thing which needs to be improved is to have a bus stop near the hotel, for people who cannot walk uphill and don't have a car. With car it is good but without car in the evening it's bit away.

Washrooms are common so could be busy a bit, and having no bus or train stop near by makes it difficult to hike if you have parents with you as it takes 15-20 minutes uphill.

Nice Stay

The best part about the property is that they have guest kitchen, where you can cook your own stuff.

Location is not that far from station, but there is no direct bus connection and walking is little hit dangerous as there is no pavement for walking, you have to walk on road where traffic is coming from both sides.

Nice and enjoyable stay, I’d recommend

The room was great - modern, immaculate, spacious, beds were comfy. There was also a heater to keep us warm. As we travelled by car, the free parking was a big plus. The hotel also had a common kitchen with everything needed for cooking plus the fridge. Location was great if you have a car, close to the Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen. The staff were very friendly. The price was reasonable comparing to other Interlaken properties.

Our room was on the last 4th floor and it could be a bit challenging for some less mobile/fit guests, especially with the luggage as there is no lift. The toilet and bathrooms are modern and clean but shared, so sometimes you had to wait or use one on the level up or down, but it was sort of expected. When we arrived, in the kitchen there was cutlery plus some free tea bags which were gone in the next day, probably some guests just took them to their rooms and didn’t return, luckily we had our own forks/etc. The hot water available in the kitchen is actually boiling, so use with caution and aware of being accidentally scalded!

Tiring, uncomfortable, and expensive for extra taxi costs.

I do not recommend this hotel to seniors or people with moving disabilities. It is difficult to get to it by foot from the nearest bus station, dragging luggage through a forest for more than half a mile. It is expensive to take all the time a taxi to and from the Interlaken West RR station. I do not recommend the rooms with shared toilets and showers since they are in an old 3-story building without an elevator, and the facilities are few of them and between floors, so you'll have to go up and down stairs all the time. Please read the small print!

The stay was good overall.

The staff is really nice, the place is clean, and the breakfast is good -- you can also have it outside, with the mountains as background.

Probably because we travel by public tranport, and it was raining on the day we arrived, it took us a while to arrive at the hotel, since we had to walk uphil, which is a bit hard with luggages.

We spent unforgettable days

We stayed four nights and had a good stay. We liked the location of the hotel, a wooded area with quick access to the proposed objectives. (we had a car) It's true, with the highway close by, but with a beautiful view of the mountains from the hotel terrace, where a very good breakfast was served. We also had a private balcony. There is also a kitchen, refrigerator, available to guests. In the evening we could serve excellent beer at the hotel buffet. There was also a restaurant. Very friendly staff. Flowers everywhere. The atmosphere in the hotel was cheerful, pleasant, youthful, we spent three unforgettable days.

We didn't have a private bathroom. There was a sink in the room, and in the hallway there were several showers and toilets with separate entrances, accessible to several rooms. They were very clean and we never had to wait. The hotel building is old. The floor in the room creaked, the balcony door was difficult to close, the price was not low either.

Even budget hostels are expensive in the Switzerland

Located just outside Interlaken, but still close enough to take a relaxing walk to the city centre. The views are just stunning! Very helpful and professional staff. Ample parking spaces. Decent breakfast. There is a public kitchen that can be used by guests to prepare meals.

Busy, express road runs next to the hotel. If you get a room from that side you will get waked up by the traffic noise early in the morning.

Nice old building, good value, great breakfast.

Genuine old building with clean rooms, great breakfast, short drive or public transport to city centre. Walking distance to a fantastic brewery, and only a short drive to a great pizzeria!

We stayed on the top floor during very hot weather, so it was quite stuffy - a fan would have been great, but an open window was OK. Not air-conditioned, but we knew that. Would still stay again!!
