Cozy romantic stay in the middle of Interlaken.

The rooms are cozy and unique with the older style building. The staff did an excellent job of taking care of any needs we had, including storing skis in a separate area to save us room in our room. Thr attached restaurant also has a good selection of very good food. The property is located easy walking distance to everything in the area as well as located on several bus routes. We received free local bus route pass as well to reach the further out locations.

The restaurant. A special thanks to Ricardo Soares and his staff, so kind and so thoughtful. Food was great, and the hotel has a really good vibe. Definitely recommend this one if you are staying in Interlaken, it’s not far from the centre and Interlaken Ost station. Loved everything about it, very clean and cosy, and very traditional too.

A lot of noise from the room upstairs but that was more a problem of the guests staying there not the hotel.

Highly recommended! Excellent location and spacious room especailly when you’re travelling with small children.

The room was spacious and we got to enjoy the view outside our balcony. The room was very clean and neat. The staffs were super friendly and accomodating.

There’s no lift going up and it’s hard to lift heavy luggages but overall, we were so happy with our stay there.

I like that it's a real swiss cottage/chalet house with a mountain view that i got to experience; i loved their breakfast options - it was the generous kind; they issue free local transportation ticket so you can go around Interlaken for free

It does not have an elevator so it's hard to bring the luggage up and down the stairs, especially when you're room is at the 3rd floor; buses arrive every 30mins +/- so it does not sync with our timing. Walking to the station is 1.4kms - only good when you don't have luggage with you

Highly recommend this charming, inviting and comfortable hotel right outside the city centre.

This is was absolute most charming hotel we’ve ever stayed at. Our room was quaint and still spacious - more than enough room for two of us. There were two separate sitting areas and a private balcony. The beds were comfortable with plush pillows and comforters. The shower was elevated and a little hard to get in and out of, but that’s my only criticism. The included breakfast every morning was divine!! An added perk was that on the walk to and from the main city area, we’d pass a pasture with cows which only added to the overall charm.

The staff was often hard to find since they spent much of their time in the restaurant rather than behind the reception desk, but the place was compact enough that we were always able to locate someone.

Lovely stay!

I would stay here again. Rooms are totally renovated but the hotel still has that chalet feel, which is exactly what we we’re looking for in Swiss Alps. The hotel offers a very good breakfast ( which was included) very clean facilities and comfortable beds.

Perfect location, excellent breakfast and the on premise restaurant has good variety.

The rooms are quite small and though they are well arranged on a long stay one can feel cramped. Second, there is no elevator so if you’re on a higher floor- be aware you have to climb stairs with luggage.

Reception was nice, room had air conditioning, parking right next to the hotel was convenient, we had a drink at the restaurant after we came back from dinner, service was good. Walking distance from the main areas in town.

The property was lovely, quintessentially Swiss and yet modern facilities. Rooms had plenty of space and were so comfortable. We loved the property. Staff were so obliging and helpful. More than happy help with luggage up and down the stairs as there was no elevator due to age of building, The breakfast was delicious and we also dined in the restaurant one evening and it was delicious and very reasonable. Rooms were air conditioned and having access to washing machine, drier and iron for a few francs was great. Location very handy…. Bus stop right outside. I would highly recommend Hotel Hirschen.

A really lovely hotel in a quiet, safe location, close to shops and city centre.

I went to Interlaken in May 2025 and the location of this hotel was excellent, being only 10-15 minutes away from the city centre, very close to local grocery shops like Lidl and Co-op. The rooms and beds were really comfy, and the hotel itself is historic and has a beautiful interior and exterior. Breakfast in the morning was great, they had different hot and cold options to choose from and there was a decent variety including a coffee machine and teas. Everybody else at the hotel was also respectful so did not expierence any difficulties in that regard. The location was in a quieter part of town, also with beautiful views. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel!

The room was clean upon arrival however during our 5 day stay, it was not hoovered or vacuumed at all. I do think that this needs to be introduced for stays above 3 days, as we were 3 people in one room and dust, hair and lint started building up quite quickly despite only being at the hotel at night and in the mornings and being out pretty much all day. Aside from that, everything else was great :).

Cozy hotel with with very friendly staff, and the best breakfast bacon ever

Very charming, traditional hotel. Chalet from 1660 but nicely renovated. Located in a quiet part of Interlaken. We had room 11 with fantastic view over the mountains. Excellent breakfast. Very friendly staff.

Everything was really nice but the roofs in some rooms are quite low given the old building. Something to keep in mind if you are long.

Love it!!

Overall, it was perfect. The hotel is a pretty chalet that gives you the traditional Swiss vibe straight away. It is very clean which I love love love! The room space is just enough with facilities to make the stay comfortable nonetheless. It is prefectly situalted in betweek Interlaken west and Ost stations (10-15 min walk) and also witjin walking distance to the town centre. The complimentary bus pass was a nice suprise! (I comes in handy when you’re tired from walking all day, and the bus fares are not cheap!) The breakfast is good and the restaurant serves great food too! The hotel staffs are welcoming and friendly 😊

The location of the hotel was great. It was located near a bus stop which made getting around really easy. The rooms were clean and the hotel staff was very friendly. The breakfast was also really good - we never tried the restaurant that is attached but it was always busy. Highly recommend this hotel.

Huge room. Great restaurant. Great variety at Breakfast. Very helpful staff A short 15 min walk through the Park to the train station. Free buses. Loved it.

Only complaint is the very narrow stairs getting suitcases up and down but that's just the way things were built.
