Our second stay here

Everyone that I dealt with at the reception was wonderful. Our room was ready an hour early for check in Spacious bathroom and comfortable bed.

Temperature in room was too warm, even though I had it set at lowest possible setting. My travelling thermometer showed the temp at 22-23 deg C throughout our stay. They loaned me a fan, but it was still too warm for my sleeping comfort . There was also not enough hanging space for clothes.

Loved the friendliness of staff and the fact that it was super pet friendly was a big plus! Received bowls, treats and a big bed which was really nice. Perfectly located to the shopping mall and main attractions. Had a wonderful stay

Thanks to the clean, spacious room and friendly staff, though the breakfast was disappointing.

I liked the room—it was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The staff were courteous, warm, and welcoming.

The only downside of this hotel was the breakfast. The croissants weren’t fresh, the bacon was not well-prepared, there were no beans available, and the orange juice was not freshly squeezed.

Great hotel and extremely welcoming staff. Room was flawless - large and clean. Perfect for a night's sleep :)

Location is fantastic for Eurostar customers (including us) but the route to centre ville is less than salubrious, especially at night. I know Lille very well (ex-Eurostar manager from the Waterloo and early St Pancras days) so had hoped that the Lille Mairie would have looked at Avenue Willy Brandt by now for pedestrians, but it still needs some work... the only petit bémol!

City Getaway Provides Nice Rest

I booked the deluxe double room for five nights at Hotel Barriere Lille. The hotel was less than ten minutes walk from both the Lille train stations, in an area about twenty minutes from the centre of old Lille. The spacious room on a high floor overlooked a beautiful park and vistas of the city. It was comfortable and absolutely quiet. The room had everything I needed. I used the espresso machine every morning, and I took advantage of the sauna and steam room, included in my room fee. There is a casino in the hotel that I did not visit. The staff was friendly and the area was perfect as it was close to transportation but not right in the middle of the busy city. I enjoyed Hotel Barriere Lille.

We had a perfect stay in a very good hotel in a wonderful city.

Very quiet, comfortable and clean room. Very modern and nice atmosphere. Friendly staff. Quick check-out (just hand-in keycard in a box). the availability of a parking garage. Also the location is super: on walking distance to the old town.

Although breakfast was OK, you would expect a broader availability of fresh fruit (not canned fruit), and plant-based yoghurt and plant-based spread to put on bread (for example humus). In addition a more proactive attitude to offer hot drinks (coffee/tea) would be nice. I had to ask for it all the time.

Wonderful and very kind staff, comfortable room and a great restaurant and bar. I highly recommend the hotel!

Something small, but there was quite some scale buildup on the showerhead. Water shoots in different directions that way when taking a shower. Otherwise the room was perfect and very clean! And another personal preference. For a hotel this big I would've liked it when they had games like table tennis to play or something else for kids.
