Very disappointed in accommodation

Warm welcome, food was exceptionally good, and it was in a lovely setting.

The place doesn't look like the photos. Anything to donwith the accommodation side was run down. I was massively disappointed with the room. It was basic, very tired, with old grouting falling out and mouldy in places. The toilet was very heavily stained from years of use with a loose seat which was very off-putting. There was no soap in the bathroom, which an absolute basic. I would not stay again.

Very disappointed as it didn’t live up to its reputation.

It was a convenient over night stop from the south on our way to Calais.

There was no receptionist, no bar facilities. Nothing whatsoever. Our key was left in the door of our room but no instruction. At no stage were we told that the hotel would be like a ghost town.

Adequate for a one night stopover but will look for somewhere else next time

On our route. This time it was quiet as at night.

Couldn’t believe they put us in the exact same room as last time and nothing had been fixed. Still stank of damp, no fan in the bathroom, black mould in the bath/shower. Light above the mirror broken. No vegetarian food offered, just took the meat off whatever dish where possible.

Pick Modern room not old stables

After moving rooms to a more modern one our first impression was changed for the better. The room was clean with good amenities.

The location is a good 15 minute walk to the closest metro to Lille with the need to cross a few busy roads.

Nice relaxing place

The place is really nice and easy to reach. The staff was friendly and happy to help for any little problem or necessity we had.

Everything was how we aspected or better. The only negative point is that is a bit in the middle of nowhere, so you can't go out for a walk or have a coffee somewhere (other than the hotel bar, which is nice BTW), you definitely need to drive to get anywhere.

Convenient and comfortable stop off using the Eurotunnel.

The hotel accommodated our late arrival; later than the advertised check in times. Initial reception was good, member of staff was very pleasant and helpful. The hotel had character and the restaurant looked good, but we arrived far too late to eat. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable.

Breakfast was disappointing. The bread and pastries were lovely, but there was no fruit and items needed replenishing, but staff needed to be asked. The photograph on this site is misleading with regards to the fruit. With a vegan in our party, we chose to have breakfast here based on the expectation that there would be fresh fruit. Lesson learned by us is the need to ask and confirm.

The hotel is in a beautiful old complex with a restaurant on site. It's not open on sunday evenings so that was bad luck. but from Lompret you are quickly in Lille or in one of the surrounding villages. The room is very comfortable, spacious and wheelchair accessible. We also enjoyed the visit of a cute black cat!

Perfect one night stop over on way south

Fabulous service, staff went above and beyond. We were running late due to traffic and they kept the restaurant and kitchen open for us so we didn’t have to venture out late and eat in town. Rooms were spacious and clean.

We were woken at midnight and at 7 am by people trying to get in our room! The rooms are not clearly numbered! The stairs are very noisy too
