Staff were extremely friendly but room was dated and felt overpriced for our stay.

Staff were very accommodating and leisure facilities were great.

Room was dated - lots of scrapes on walls and doors. TV didn’t look secure on the wall so didn’t touch it! Bathroom also could have done with a proper clean.

One light switch for all the lights , even though there were bed lights perfect for reading they came on with the main light. Coffee sachets were horrible I prefer a coffee machine but you get what you pay for I guess

Only stayed one night but thoroughly enjoyed it and would book again, if we come back to Manchester.

On site car park. Convenient location, within walking distance of the City centre and Bridgewater Hall, where we were going to a concert. Food available in the lounge bar until 11 pm, which was great for us to enjoy a snack after attending our gig. Very friendly and helpful staff on Reception and in the Bar/Breakfast area. Clean.good sized and comfortable room, with adequate tea, coffee and buscuits. Overall, good value for money.

Good location. Just no sleep!

Just the location and parking.

The walls in the bedrooms are paper thin and we could hear every word in the next room. We didn't complain on the night as we were told the hotel was full but we did tell the manager the next morning who acknowledged there is a problem with soundproofing in some of the rooms. We didn't get to sleep until 3am in the morning. It wasn't that the people in the next room were shouting or being loud. Just talking, that's how poor and thin the walls are.

Great hospitality and location

Great location. The free No 1 bus and other bus services as well as trams were all close by. Restaurants bars and the National Trust Castlefield viaduct was within walking distance and the Science & Industry museum was across the road. Staff were very friendly too.

Breakfast could have been improved. Scrambled eggs were inedible every morning and there was hardly any fruit.

There were a couple of people from Northern Ireland in the room next door and they were a complete pain in the arse! One of them (male) was incredibly load and ignorant with no consideration for other guests. About a quarter of an hour after the bar closed he was banging the door so loudly it woke us up. I was so angry.

A trip to see Man U Vs Newcastle

I enjoyed the gym, it was actually pretty big. We had a really good full window with an outlook to the basin and open seated arena thing. I loved that you could open the big windows, as hotel rooms are always too hot. The parking was fine but did cost £18 per day. Our room was a really decent size.

The staff in the gym expressing that in future I should walk another way through the gym, so I didn't disturb the gym users. The tone was particularly rude. I walked a route to avoid the gym users. The way the hotel links, you have to walk through the gym. No matter if you go left or right. The staff in the gym the next day were super lovely. They should just tell hotel guests to go outside and back in via the door that all the gym users use. Then you don't have to walk through the gym. I think it would be nice to provide shampoo and conditioner. I just assume you get in a hotel room. I did have some with me. They provide some form of soap in the shower. For the price, I think breakfast should be included. We ate our breakfast out, as we didn't feel like an English breakfast. You could definitely get a good, filling, feed - for £10 if you pay the day before though.

A great hotel which will now be our go hotel when we go to Manchester.

The Room was very nice and and met our needs. Breakfast was good and staff were all very nice and helpful. Swimming pool was also very good.

with the exception of the bathroom light which was rather annoying.Its a sensor controlled light and did not appear to be operating properly, when you went into the toilet it would come on as meant to However it would go off very quickly leaving you in the dark to do your business. I had been out all day and decided to have a bath with a glass of wine to just chill. In a pop and hey presto light goes of there i am waving my arms at the light to make it come back on but no joy. Ask my to come in and as soon as she comes in it comes on a few minutes later same again . this carried on for the duration of my bath which I cut short . Next morning same agian when going through morning routines. However, it did give us a good Laugh trying to beat the light and did not spoil or time at this lovwley hotel.

Perfect location for what we needed.

All about the location for us. We had a music event at the Aviva Studio's which was only a 5 minute walk away. There was also an excellent restaurant Sappora around the corner where they cook your meal in front of you. The Hotel itself was great and welcoming and the staff were happy to help if needed.
